Fantastic private tour of the Rockies
What a wonderful day we had with Robbie exploring both Banff & Yoho National Parks on a private tour, visiting Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, the Natural Bridge & Takakkaw Falls. Robbie is a personable young man with a good sense of humour & is extremely knowledgeable about the area. Although we had a full itinerary, we never felt rushed & Robbie ensured we didn’t miss anything. We highly recommend Beyond Banff Tours to see the best of the Rockies. Thanks again Robbie!

          Amazing Experience
We had Robbie as our tour guide for two days and he was amazing. He made sure we saw everything possible within the short amount of time we had with him. We would highly recommend everyone book with Beyond Banff at a minimum and go for the private tours if possible!

          Awesome trip
This was a wonderful tour despite hazy clouds and actual rain/ snow on the Icefields/glacier. Skyla was our tour guide and she was the best. She was friendly, knowledgeable of the area and sites and just plain fun. We met her on another tour a few days later (she was shadowing the guide) and she was just as friendly and knowledgeable and so giving of herself. The area was beautiful despite bad weather, definitely an unforgettable experience. Our bus driver was Matthias. He was also great! Fun, knowledgeable of all the areas and did a great job driving!

          Above and BEYOND
I organized a conference in Banff for colleagues from across the country. That included several shuttle runs from and to the airport as well as 3 hour private evening tours for some delegates. Robbie was so easy to work with for the planning. Offered reasonable rates for everything. He was extremely knowledgeable on the tour and has an infectious sense of humor. It has been a great pleasure Robbie! More than five stars from this customer.

          Best Tour Guide!
Robbie was our private tour guide for a day and took us all over the Lake Louise area. He knows the area really well and was just all around a great tour guide. If I ever go back to Canada, he will be my first call! Thanks Robbie for a great experience.

Columbia Ice Fields & Lake Louise
Our tour through Sun Dog Tours was great ! We walked on glaciers, spotted a black bear & a fox. Steve was our tour guide & he was a good guide. When we went onto the Icefields, Shayne was our driver & he was fun & knowledgeable. I know he is the best driver because he told us so. He was very solitous of those of us who had a hard time walking on the ice.

          Loving the Rockies
My family did the Best of Banff and Yoho tour with Beyond Banff tours and I must say it was one of the most enjoyable days we have had. From the moment we were picked up to the time we were dropped off our tour operator Robbie couldn’t do enough for us. He was very professional and knowledgeable while at the same time making the whole day fun and making us feel like family. We saw some of the most beautiful lakes and a fantastic waterfall in the area.If you are ever travelling to the Banff area I fully recommend that you take in a tour with Beyond Banff tours you won’t regret it.

We had Robert as our guide. He was excellent at providing information and keeping us informed about the items such as the landscape, weather, points of interest, etc. He was also a very experienced and safe driver in the hazardous weather conditions we faced. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fun day around Banff and more...
Robbie Sr was an excellent tour guide and driver - we all enjoyed the day so much (even tho it rained the entire day). It was interesting and beautiful and it was so nice not to have to drive and find these places. I would definitely trust him for a very pleasant day!!

Yoho National Park and Lake Louise and Banff motor coach tour
My sister and I recently traveled to Canada for a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer with Orbridge. Our coach driver in Banff was Nick, who was a very knowledgeable and congenial young man. We all enjoyed his humor and great information. He even found us a “bear jam” in Banff National Park!

          Lake Louise and Icefield Parkway
As a keen travel photographer I was looking at doing things a little different from my usual coach tours. I booked a private tour of Lake Louise and the Icefield Parkway with Beyond Banff. The tour guide , Rob jnr was such a dedicated guide, he hiked with me off the trail and down through the woods to a spot for the best pictures of Peyto Lake ... With a BROKEN LEG ... On Crutches !!! Honestly you had to see it to believe it . Arriving at Moraine lake arrangements had be made for me to join Rob Snr and his group to the top of the rock pile for my photographs of the lake from above. Rob snr offered to take pictures of anyone with a camera, which was a real treat to be in some of my travel pictures. To say it was An Absolutely amazing day doesn’t come close ! Thanks so much to Rob jnr , Rob snr and Rob the driver . You all did an amazing job Hopefully I’ll see you again for another adventure !

We waited outside for about 15 minutes past the collection time of 09:00. They had sent an e-mail advising that the pickup would be 10 to 20 minutes late, but we had not received it before we left our accommodation. It was a small bus that sat 15 people.

A very pleasant day visiting all of the lakes in the area, Two Jacks, Lake Minnewanka, Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, the bus stops for lunch in Lake Louise village for just an hour, another 15 minutes would have been useful, very quick stop once you have ordered and are waiting for food.
Then onto Icefields pathway, Bow Lake, Crowfoot glacier, Payto Lake, which in my opinion is the prettiest.
Our driver was very pleasant and answered all questions, he did share a lot with the bus but as we were sitting at the back, we missed most of what he was saying, mainly due to road noise, maybe a mic and a speaker would be good.
Would recommend this trip to see all the lakes in one day.

Well worth booking this tour. Rob was an entertaining and excellent guide and driver. H was well informed, amusing and able to flex the days itinerary to maximise the experience regardless of weather. He even arranged some sunshine over Lake Louise. We visited several Lakes and waterfalls/cascades and he ensured we all saw some turquoise blue water.

We stayed in Banff for a few days on our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver and during that stay decided to go to see Lake Louise because I just wanted to see if the water was that lovely teal colour and it was.
The lakes and mountains are breathtaking and worth going to see but the only trouble we had was parking!
We had not seen anything about how hard to wax to park in any of the information we looked. Maybe it was naive to think there would be parking spaces available but anyway it was a nightmare and all I would say if you don’t get there before 7am you won’t get a space. You’ll be waived on to keep on going until you get to the bottom of the mountain!
We there saw signs which said shuttle service so we followed those for a good couple of miles only to find out that when we got to the shuttle service car park all the bus tickets had sold out!
So if you’re thinking of going then book a bus ticket sooner rather than later or if they are still sold out then park in the free car park half way up the mountain to lake Louise. We luckily found a space on the second attempt and then took the steady incline walk for about 20.
Worth it and then to make our early start worth it we purchased the most delicious chocolate croissants from the chateaux coffee shop and 2 cappuccinos.
Sitting by the side of the most beautiful lake I think I’ll ever see together with eating the most delicious croissants I have ever eaten more than made up for the lack of car park facilities and a short walk.
It’s a must if you’re in the area.

Rob, our tour guide, picked us up promptly at our Vrbo in Canmore. Rob and his son, the owner of Beyond Banff, operate the tour buses, and the tour feels personal but still professional.

Be sure to have your park pass with you - if not you'll need to buy one from the driver or get one online while you're on the bus.

Rob timed our tour stops to minimize how crowded they would be when we arrived (no easy task - Banff National Park is very crowded in July.) We were at the park shortly after the Jasper wildfire, and Banff was particularly crowded due to an influx of evacuated tourists from the Jasper area.

Rob gave us tips, such as "Walk about 15 minutes around the lake and it will be less crowded." When he can park, he goes to the tour spots with the passengers, so he knows what tips to give from his experience. This is one of the things that separates this tour from more commercial tours, where the drivers may sit on the bus until the group comes back.

Another is the little stories Rob tells along the way. He obviously loves and respects the majesty of this part of the country and its wildlife. His tales of some of the local bear celebrities were particularly appealing. I'm still haunted by the sad story of Nakoda and her cubs (ask Rob about it.) We learned a lot about the Banff area and the park without feeling like we just getting a list of memorized facts. The tour was well worth the time and price. Tip your guide! He earns it!

This is a family-owned business with a father and son as the owners, drivers and tour guides. The father was the driver/tour guide on the day we went. The shuttle was small and so the group size was therefore small, which made it nicer not waiting for a large group to get on and off the bus at each stop. We mostly followed the itinerary, but there were some extra stops as well, for example to Two Jacks Lake. We had a good amount of time at each stop. Of course, one could spend the entire day around Lake Lousie, which we did do, on another day. But given that this tour stopped at quite a few spots, the time at each spot was good. The tour guide was nice and friendly and answered everyone’s questions. All in all, this was a great tour and I recommend it.

I booked this trip while visiting my son in Canmore in June and I can't recommend Robbie and Rob, this tour and this Company highly enough. I was picked up at my son's apartment in Canmore and joined a group of around 16 others who were picked up at various locations in Banff before setting off on our day trip. We visited lakes and glaciers, each one more stunning than the last with Robbie's interesting and informative facts along the way. Ice cold water, soft drinks and snacks - especially tomato sauce crisps - were provided throughout the day and plenty time was allowed at each stop with a lunch stop in Lake Louise village. During the trip, I was notified of a close family bereavement and Robbie and his Dad who had another bus party on the same tour, went out of their way to assist all they could. The highlights of the day for me were seeing Lake Louise 'defrosted' 😁 and Peyto Lake but mostly the Moraine Lake which will remain a very special memory for me although I hope to be back to kayak in the amazing glacial waters. The mountains and lakes are there to be visited but Beyond Banff go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing experience to remember. Thanks for everything guys.

My wife and I were on our vacation in Banff, and we scheduled and purchased our tour in advance online. We chose the Lake Louise and Icefields tour with Rob Waite Sr. We had a small group of around 12 that didn't seem too big at all. The van was comfortable and well maintained. Rob Sr. was a very knowledgeable and professional guide who knew the facts and history of the areas. He also used some humor during the trip, which was appreciated. We saw many sights and many stops. We were given ample time to walk around and take pictures at each stop. We also had an hour stop for lunch on our own. Unfortunately, Lake Louise was still frozen on our day. But, that's just Mother Nature. Overall, we had a great tour, and we were dropped off (same place were picked up) at our condo in Canmore. We were very tired, but we were very pleased with the tour. I would highly recommend Beyond Banff, and I would definitely book with them again.

Absolutely a full day tour of Lake Louise and moraine Lake as well as numerous other lakes, glacier views and history of the area. This was a superb way to view the true beauty of the area. Our bus held 22 and was full. That was a good size group. We saw more than I ever expected and saw spectacular sites that I will not soon forget. Rob was our driver and grew up in the area so was able to give history and stories of the area. You more than get your money’s worth. I would highly recommend you go in this excursion.

Rob was an excellent guide having lived in this area all of his life. The tour was a full day and because we were in a small bus we were able to stop in at least one place a larger bus could not have accessed. The drive on the Icefields parkway was beautiful, but we didn’t go all the way to Athabasca Glacier (possibly because of all the closures in Jasper due to the July wildfire?). My only negative was communication during the booking process could have been better. We were staying @ Lake Louise and didn’t realize until about 12 hours before our tour that we would need to get ourselves to the Banff train station (almost an hour away) to start and end the tour. It was stated in the details of our tour confirmation, but only if you opened all the “details” sections of the confirmation email. All in all, a good value,
