About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- SimonD20130 contributionsGreat pre Christmas break with friendsThis is our third year at Doddington and it was as good as ever. The accommodation has everything you need and it’s in a great location - we will be back again next year .Written December 15, 2024
- kjgreen6120 contributionsDriving the Icefields ParkwayAn informative and inexpensive guide that will make your Icefields Parkway drive so much more informative. So many times, when you do a self-guided tour, you miss some of the things you are driving by. This helps to bring more info to you as you drive along the parkway. The GPS link is fairly accurate, so you get the next commentary as you are approaching the discussed area. The only downside is it can be a bit confusing sometimes on the correct direction that are referencing for you to view. Well worth the investment if you are driving the Icefields Parkway and want to know more of what you are seeing.Written October 27, 2024
- Virginia05100 contributionsFabulous tour of the glacier. Thank you, James!!It was exhilarating, fun, and very informative. I particularly liked the attribution to the First Nations people who preceded us, and the environmental care taken for the glacier and surrounding area. James Moore from Ontario was the best ever driver/guide. We had one member in our party who was particularly nervous about what was to come. With James’ presentation, he calmed all of us and made it so much fun. A great tour and an amazing trip onto the glacier.Written September 17, 2024
- w00diej0 contributionsTouring the capital city of AustraliaGuil was our tour guide. He is conscientious, has a beautiful smile and a most pleasant demeanor. A cautious driver. Because there were only 5 in our tour group, he was able to spend a little extra time at certain venues which was an added bonus. His superior skill sets make him a real asset to your company!Written August 24, 2024
- stevevN8999AT0 contributionsComplete the Parkway experience! The audio guide added a whole other dimension of fun and learning to the drive. Really well done! No technical issues at all either.Written July 13, 2024
- Amanda76450 contributionsDisappointedDidn’t work. Had the audio working at the hotel in Banff but when on the road it failed to work very disappointing. Don’t waste your money.Written July 10, 2024
- sueh7540 contributionsOverall worth getting.Overall this is quite useful. Some interesting information of many of the points of interest on the route. Can be used without data which is a big plus. Downside is that it can be a bit confusing- right/left side depending on which way you travel and sometimes we were ahead of the app as it lagged a bit behind.Written June 6, 2024
- Devin L0 contributionsExcellent Driving App to Learn about the Rocky MountainsThe audio tour was an excellent way to learn about the area while driving. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Informative and entertaining.Written May 15, 2024
- ladyloch0 contributionsTook ages to download then on the day of the drive it wouldn't loadI was so very disappointed with this app. I downloaded the app and program data a couple of days before. It to so long to download but it finally did. Happy days! On the day of the drive, it wouldn't load. I had to reset my phone, then it said it was invalid. I spend over an hour trying to get it to start. We ended up not being able to use it We are very unhappy and will never buy another audio guide. In fact I want a refundWritten May 8, 2024

- DayTrip6831370 contributionsDisappointedIt was very difficult to get the tour downloaded. Way too many apps to put on my phone. Do not recommend. I had several people attempt to download this tour and all were unsuccessfully. E we’re disappointed as e we’re looking forward to walking and driving on our own time.Written March 26, 2024

- jolig2210 contributionsGreat AudioguideThe tour was great and informative. Our family had fun guessing answers to the trivia. Once we figured out that the audio will play automatically when you approach the appropriate locations on the highway, things were much easier. Don't miss taking the short hike to Lower Sunwapta Falls. We wore our microspikes in winter to avoid slipping on the trail. Gorgeous!Written December 29, 2023
- 699Charlie6990 contributionsA nice tool to javeHandy to have something to point out local or historical information as you drive this great piece of road. Easy to purchase and setup to play through your car stereo.Written October 22, 2023
- Q949QKbrendab0 contributionsEasy and informativeThe app is super easy to use. GPS tracking enables timely and interesting audio clips as you travel along the route. Highly recommend if you want to learn about the history of the area and featured sights along the way.Written October 13, 2023

We opted for the shorter but very steep hike to get to this Tea house. I believe we could have gotten there on the longer shoreline hike. We were very sore for several days. We are in our 60’s. Everything was very expensive but the tea and soup were really good. The lines were long but the Takeaway line was just a little bit quicker (30 min wait). We scored a spot on a picnic table, but there are lots of shaded spots and big rocks to sit on.

I was very excited to take this hike, but after a while on the trail I had some issues. First, it was very strenuous, uphill trekking. I was prepared for a slightly challenging, mostly level path. It is not any of those things. Second, the views are mostly blocked with trees, so not so much to look at but the roots, rocks and dust ahead. It's only 3k or so, but there are no markers on the trail to let you know how far you have come or (huff-puff) how much further to go. 3k of demanding hiking feels like a 10k road race. Now the audio tour was excellent, and my husband and I learned a lot about Lake Louise and the flora and fawna. But the audio would have been better if it was linked to some visual, numbered markers on the path. After about the first 5 episodes, we didn't know where we were on the trail relative to the audio speaker, especially since some of the views we were supposed to be having were blocked now by trees. Needless to say, we never made it to the Tea House because we turned around. We could have been within 100 yards of the finish, but without any feedback via trail markers, we just gave up.

Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately we have no control over the actual Tea House Trail markers or views but we will take into consideration your suggestions and see if we can improve the tour.

I’m sure my rating would be higher but the wildfire smoke and subsequent rain made sightseeing difficult. Pretty place but the resort hotel we stayed at was too far from the village.

Thanks for your review. It is unfortunate the weather didn't cooperate as The Lake Agnes Tea House Trail has spectacular views.
