About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 704stella0 contributionsGreat TourThis was a fantastic trip where we got so much packed into one trip - waterfalls, lakes, wildlife and a boat trip on Maligne Lake. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and mature. We had younger and less experienced guides on other tours (including the boat ride) who were fine, but this guide was a step above. He showed us everything, was attentive to our needs, worked really hard to find us wildlife (we saw a bear, a moose, eagles, marmot, and a dear) and provided an incredible wealth of information. We could not have been happier or more appreciative.Written August 1, 2024
- timothybX5931OI0 contributionsWildlife TourSam did an excellent job driving us around and seeing the animals in Jasper National Park. It was a great tour. I was really sad about the wildfire which came through on Monday. Our trip was excellent!Written July 28, 2024
- triciau20240 contributionsGrateful for my time in JasperI had a wonderful day with Jamie as my guide. I learned so much about the area, got the chance to see some wildlife and amazing views, and enjoyed the pace of the trip. Specifically, I enjoyed getting off the bus for a short hike at the canyon and the boat ride on Maligne Lake among other stops. Thank you for a great day! My thoughts are still with everyone in Jasper as I am deeply saddened to hear about the devastation with the wildfires. The park is truly a gem.Written July 26, 2024
- SapphireRoseG0 contributionsExtreme Discomfort on Sweltering VanDo not recommend this tour as the company cares nothing about your comfort as they claim on their advertisement. They operated on an extremely hot day that was close to 100 degrees F with a broken air conditioner. When returning to the van after hikes, etc., the van was scorching hot and everyone needed to wait for it to "cool" somewhat. This was totally unacceptable. Unless they start to maintain their equipment as they should, recommend to stay far away! Tour guide was very knowledgeable but spoke the entire time which became annoying after a number of hours and added additional stress to an already highly uncomfortable situation.Written July 26, 2024
- WanderingScott0 contributionsUnmissable wildlife tourOur guide was amazing - saw loads of wildlife including deer, elk, marmots, moose, bald eagle chicks and grouse and chicks. This was the evening we were then evacuated and advice was excellent. Hope everyone did get home safe and you will be able to resume as soon as is safe. It was a brilliant tour and thoroughly recommend.Written July 24, 2024

- M8891TNcarols0 contributionsInexperienced raftersAs inexperienced rafters, our guide, Francois, was terrific in allaying our concerns and going gently over the rapids. The scenery was beautiful. Stephen, the bus driver/assistant was also very accommodating. Once we were comfortable on the river, we wished the trip was longer!Written July 23, 2024
- G2364BAchrisw0 contributionsThanks Pascal!! Great tour guideOur tour guide Pascal was awesome! Lots of local insight and tips, stories, history, etc. The cruise to Spirit Island was a favorite part of the trip. Got to see a HUGE elk, baby bald eagles on nest, deer, etc. Wish we could have seen bear and moose, but they were elusive. :( Rest of trip was terrific!Written July 23, 2024

We saw lots of wildlife including a black bear with 2 cubs, elk, deer, marmot, osprey and 2 young bald eagles in their nest. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable tour and well worth the money.Written July 21, 2024
- 121abhishekm0 contributionsExcellent service and memorable tripThis tour was very interesting, especially for a family. Our tour guide, Kelly, told us meaningful information, like the stories of the land. We learned lots about bears from her and how to defend ourselves if we are near one which was very fun to hear about. Kelly was also very accommodating by offering us cold water bottles. She showed us different types of antlers as well. During the bus rides, we were allowed to quickly stop and take photos of wildlife. The trip was memorable ( written by Teenager)Written July 20, 2024

- P8005JLmichellem0 contributionsSurprisingly awesome! We did this tour and I was slightly skeptical that we would actually see anything. Boy was I wrong. The tour was AMAZING. Sam was our guide and was incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic. My family of four (2 children 11 and 7) enjoyed the entire trip. We saw a mama black bear and two cubs, multiple elk and bull elk and some calves, 2 moose, a white tailed buck, and two immature bald eagles. Sam even let us try buffalo berries which my kids thought was great. Thank you for such an amazing tour!Written July 19, 2024

We had a blast on this experience! Kane was our guide and he was fun and professional. It was my husband’s and my first time doing this and felt the whole operation was organized, well run and so much fun. We went back to Athabasca Falls the next day to see the view and it’s nothing compared to the view you get from within the boat and on the rapids- just breathtaking and thrilling! I strongly recommend any adventure seeker to add this to their itinerary while in the Canadian Rockies!

The trip was an excellent experience. I can't say enough good things about the people running the tour. From the time we got to the parking lot, the bus ride down to the falls, the information and safety session, and the tour itself, they were constant professionals with the right touch of humour. They also had a cameraman on the shore to grab a few pics for purchase afterwards. It was our kid's favourite part of our trip, and is a must do in Jasper!

My family spent a week in the Canadian Rockies on a family reunion of sorts. We did a lot of activities - the ice fields, a Maligne lake boat cruise, the lookout point near the ice fields, the Banff Gondola, etc. but this was by far the best activity my family booked.
The views are incredible and unspoiled - rafting is pretty much the only way I can think of getting these views - there are no roads, hiking trails, or lookout points along most of the river.
We had everyone ranging from me (who has rafted and kayaked Class 4 rapids) to my 9 year old niece and late 60's father. Everyone enjoyed the experience immensely. If you're in the front of the boat you WILL get wait. So go in the back of the boat if you're averse to getting wet.
Since it was Class I and II rapids it's not too intense, but there are a few big waves that will splash you. Really you do this as an introduction to rafting, or as a family friendly activity that will provide stunning views of the scenery.
Our guide, Katelyn (unsure of spelling) was outstanding. Since she grew up in Jasper she has an intimate knowledge of the area. She was very enthusiastic, and was very nice and encouraging to my 9 year old niece, who had never done anything like this before.
I felt like we were in good hands and that they take safety very seriously. I highly recommend this trip, but if you want something intense choose one of the more difficult options Maligne adventures offers.

From the pick up to the drop off it was a flawless and fun adventure.
The team was super entertaining and engaging answering questions as best as they can about the region, the lake, their experiences on the lake while rafting etc. My husband, 8 year olds daughter and I were on Dan’s boat and he made it as safe but as fun as possible for her. His instructions were clear for paddling and gave us the best splashed results. The Bus driver/Photographer was amazing and captured some of the best shots we will cherish for a very long time as a family.
Wish there were more rapids but even the smooth parts were fun because of just how beautiful the surrounding scenery was.

Fantastic experience with Austin and the lads. Very knowledgable and safety of guests paramount at all
stages. All the appropriate gear for what was a cold start but sunshine came out midway. Highly recommend reading pre-joining instructions about wearing a swimming costume under clothing cos you need to strip off in public and get into and out of wetsuits. Fab 10/10 experience for families

Fun and professional from start to finish. Excellent selection of rafting gear made even a chilly cloudy day perfectly comfortable. Not a very challenging run, but stunning scenery. Excellent safety briefing and helpful guide commentary made it relaxing and informative. Be prepared to change into wetsuits in the bus! Would use this company again.

It was an amazing experience! The whole family loved it and enjoyed every minute. Rafting down Athabasca river and going through the rapids plus the pouring rain at one stage, made it all so exciting. The experienced guide, Jay, made us feel like it was like a walk in the park even though this was our first time doing white water rafting. We will definitely be back for more.

My husband and I were very impressed with the team that led our rafting groups. They were all energetic, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and in addition made the bus ride and the rafting portion very fun for all of us. Our guide JP went out of his way to learn all of our names on the raft he led and ensure that all of us were safe and having a great time.

We took the 2* experience on 07/10/23 in the morning. Our guide Tatiana was fun to ride with, she gave clear instructions and she was quite knowledgable about the river, the canyon and Jasper NP and Mount Robson PP, as well. At all times we felt safe, so that we wanted an adrenaline ride even more. If we ever ever ride again, we'd take this rafting company, because from start to finish we knew what to expect, we got clear safety instructions from all the guides and the feeling that this was an amazing morning ride in a place you are only allowed to see on a guided rafting tour. Thanks to all the guides and Tatiana in particular. May we meet again!
