      Breathtaking scenery
The views are amazing. Stunning scenery around every corner. Our new young host Sam B was a wonderful host, sincerely interested in ensuring everyone had a great time and loving the experience as he does. Both he and our driver Brian were very knowledgeable about the area. Had a great day.

Excellent guided tour of mountains, lakes, and waterfalls!
This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. The scenery was spectacular. The driver, who was also the tour Director was terrific and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour. It is well worth the investment.

The Best of Banff National Park!
Our privately organized 3 day tour of Banff National Park was outstanding. The dramatic beauty of snow capped mountains against blue skies and stunning views of the lakes made for a scenic journey. Our driver/guide, Matthew kept us entertained with his knowledgeable information about the mountain park, the mountains, the wildlife ,as well as sharing local tales. For certain Matthew, aka Mr Rogers, is passionate about his career - an exceedingly safety conscious driver with a positive personality and a great sense of humor. What a fun time!

      Really good day out
My husband and I went on this tour today. We were very lucky only 17 on a 56 seater, so no waiting around for stragglers. Dustin our driver and Ben the tour guide were great, very down to earth. The commentary was non stop from them both, Dustin was a fountain of knowledge. The scenery was spectacular, the glacier experience was good, and the buffet was very tasty. I could have lived without doing the skywalk, it was ok, but no real need for it in my opinion, it doesn't add anything to the national park. But I can say I've done it. I would recommend this trip.

Breathtaking experience. At the end of our week, it was unanimous with our family of 5 that this was the favorite experience. Highly recommend for most age groups. Dress warm!

      Trip to the mountains
Matt was our driver and Darwin our host, they both did an excellent job, being so helpful both going and coming home. Everything was organized so well and Matt did an excellent job of explaining everything to us and i especially enjoyed the Bear stories and seeing a black bear grazing. Would highly recommend them.

      A great day out!
The bus was on time and very well organised and we were well informed of the days itinerary. Rob was our driver and Sophie our guide they were both super informative and cheery and friendly. A great start. The placea we visited were all superb - Bow Falls, Surpise Corner, the Gondola, Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack's Lake with the amazing Hoodoos! A buffet lunch was also included at the Elk & Avenue Hotel which was lovely. We loved the whole day the weather was fab and the views were amazing. Captain McKenzie and her co-host - sorry we can't remember her name! - kept us well informed during our trip around Minnewanka and it was very interesting. Lastly we finished off the bus trip back into Banff where we saw some more wildlife giving us two lines on Sophie's wildlife Bingo card!!! Sadly we didn't see any Bears but can only say the day was outstanding!!! Overall 5 out of 5, highly recommended!!!

We went with our kids (ages 5, 8, 11). Really enjoyed the views, and the tour guide shared some interesting facts and stories about the lake.

      We had a great time
Awesome experience. Jacob was a great captain and Liam was an awesome guide. My wife and I brought our 18 month old and we were so happy with the cruise. Learned cool history about the lake, beautiful views, and had a great time. Bonus points for Liam: he literally ran to catch a fellow passenger from our trip who left their phone and didn’t realize it.

      THE GREAT ESCAPE
Ours was a 3-day customized tour for 32 of us. It started in Rimbey, AB, on June 6th, returning June 8th. On Day 1 we travelled the David Thompson Hwy west to the Icefields Parkway, then south through Banff National Park. The bus took us to Howse Pass, Waterfowl Lakes, and Emerald Lake. We returned to Banff for a banquet type dinner at the “Farm & Fire” restaurant in Banff. We stayed overnight at the Pocaterra Inn in Canmore, AB. On Day 2 we travelled to Lake Louise and Morraine Lake, returning to Banff where we had an afternoon of free time to explore Banff. We returned to the Pocaterre Inn in Canmore for the night. On Day 3 our driver took us to the gondola on Sulfer Mountain, then back to Banff where we toured around Banff Springs and Bow Falls. We had 2 hours off for lunch before returning to Rimbey. Matthew Rodger’s, our Brewster’s driver and tour guide was amazing in all respects. He was a wealth of knowledge, had strong inter-personal skills and a great sense of humour. We were really impressed with his professionalism as a driver and as a tour guide. The sites we visited and the information he shared with us really made the tour. Top Notch! Our only disappointment was with the dining experience at the “Farm & Fire” restaurant. While our meals were ordered weeks in advance (chicken or beef, and salad or soup), we were never asked how we wanted the steaks prepared. From what we could see, most steaks were overcooked resulting in significant wastage. Normal service protocols were noticeably absent (I.e. lack of beverage service, 1 jug of water per table and empty water glasses, no wine, beer or liquor menus, no one asked us if we wanted anything other than water during the meal, or even asked if we were happy with the meals).

Fantastic time on Lake Minnewanka, do not miss
Wonderful experience. Our guide, Hayden and Captain Jo where fabulous. Knowledgable both in terms of the history and "science" of the area and with great local knowledge as residents. The time spent in the back of tbe lake with engines off was a highlight. Would highly recommend.

a very memorable and comfortable experiences
I have had really lovely time with this tour. The tour guide/driver Steve and the co-ordinator Gracy looked after us very well. The bus journey was very comfortable, and we have had decent time in Moraine lake, and a very lovely hot lunch in Emerald lake. I have a great walk in Johnston Canyon. We also stopped by several interesting photo points. We also have a lovely cookie and coffee break which was really lovely. I found the whole experience better then I expect, and have a very good memory from it.

      Best day of our holiday
One of the best trips I have ever done. Fantastic scenery. Walked on a glacier and along the Skywalk. Nathan the driver had a great sense of humour and was really helpful and informative. Tom the guide was excellent. He had an excellent knowledge of the area and could not be more helpful. This trip was the highlight of my holiday

We got this cruise as part of a combo deal. O the day of the cruise their booking system somehow overbooked the cruise and they asked for two volunteers to give up their spot, they offered a refund and upgraded us to their premium cruise for that same evening. This goes to show that the company cares about their customer experience.

The cruise itself was beautiful. The premium cruise gives you fifteen extra minutes on the spirit island (unnecessary in my opinion) and takes you further out after the spirit island stop to the deepest part of the lake where you are surrounded by mountains on all sides which is great. The boat for premium cruise had a little better seats as well.
Out guide and Captain (Tim? And Tara) were nice people and knowledgeable.

Awesome experience (even if it was a rainy day)! Shout out to our crew/guide Nick for the info tidbits. We were a group of 4 and took the premium cruise for an extra time in Spirit Island. It was quite a drive from Lake Louise to Maligne Lake and we took the last trip (4pm). We went on a rainy day so it was foggy and a bit nippy. Maligne Lake is huge. Because of the rain we did not get the blue-turquoise water colour but it's all good. Saw a black bear on the way and some deer while we were in the lake shore. Wildlife sighting is always a bonus!

My wife and I have done this type of cruise in several locations in various locations in Europe, the US and Canada. The difference between a scenic tour and a great tour, is the guide. Anyone can give a narrative or scripted history performance; the great trips have a guide that has experienced the area that they are describing. These guides not only have a passion for what they are describing, they also have insights and anecdotes which add to the overall experience. Today we had a great Captain (Kate) and an outstanding guide (Sam) who shared with us some of his experiences hiking and climbing in the area, as well as his knowledge of the Stoney Nakoda people and their beliefs. If you do this tour and have Kate as your Captain, watch how attentive and respectful she is to every body on the boat the lake; I watched her check her wake's impact on canoes and kayaks several times. If you have Sam as a guide, listen to his prepared remarks, but make sure that you talk to him as the tour nears its end, ask him about his hikes, the coral fossils, how the Stoney Nakoda understood forest management, how much weight a grizzly can gain off of one moose carcass; he is in the "great" category of guides.

Recently went on the 1.5 hour cruise to Spirit Island. Our captain Alexis, and guide Jordan were both fantastic and made the cruise even more enjoyable. Captain was courteous to other lake users and we felt safe. Seating was pre assigned to allow for social distancing in light of the current pandemic, so this worked perfectly. Our guide was very knowledgeable and bought in a little humour at times. This is a must if you are in the Jasper area!

We visited Maligne Lake on a rainy day and I even didn't expect too much in such weather. However, it turned out the view was very unique and also stunning. You should never skip the cruise!!!

Both Nick and Floue are very friendly. Nick is such a fun guy and he gave a very interesting introduction to the lake. We enjoyed our cruise tour very much!

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My mother and I had a terrible experience with the Maligne Lake Cruise today as a boat tour guide named Nic publicly humiliated and castigated my mother for speaking up to a white French family who tried to kick us out from seating at the front of the boat. Seats are first come first serve. There are no reserved seats. Everyone on the boat, many of whom are non-native English speakers, including Chinese and Indians, understood that the seats are first come first serve. On our return trip back from the island, people sat in different seats from the seats they previously occupied on the way to the island. Naturally, our prior seats were taken and we ended up finding seats at the front of the boat. This white French family rudely and with a sense of entitlement told us to leave as they claim the seats we occupied were their seats. We told them that seats are first come first serve and they harassed us for refusing to leave our seats. Nic, our boat tour guide, sided with this French family and pleasantly spoke to them in French explaining that there are no reserved seats. In contrast, Nic castigated my mother in front of everyone on the boat for not being understanding of this French family whose first language is not English. Interestingly, my mother’s first language is also not English as with many of the people on the boat but they did not disrespect others and nor did they act with entitlement so as to try to force people to leave their seats. This was purely racist behavior that Nic of Maligne Boat Cruise condoned. Any person of color should stay away from this business and not support it. I would not want you to experience what my mother and I just experienced.

We had Jen as our captain and eliot as our tour guide. They where both awesome ! Jen was very smooth When operating the boat and respectful of other boaters. Eliot was knowledgeable but also funny and entertaining. Eliot took the time to talk to guests individually and recommend things to do while in jasper and answer questions. Would recommend the tour to anyone! Definitely worth doing.

Although we’ve travelled to Jasper several times in recent years, we had never been to Maligne Lake, and were looking for that view of Spirit Island and to enjoy the experience overall. The cruise exceeded our expectations thanks to not only the natural beauty that surrounds the area, but also thanks to the guide we had, Kelly, and the captain, Crystal. We learned so much about the area and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the boat and visiting Spirit Island

Even on a cool rainy day this lake and the surrounding mountains are magical and mystical!

Boat Captain Jared and interpretive guide Maddy were professional, knowledgeable and very engaging.

The entire area is beyond beautiful!

On the drive back to Jasper we saw two grizzly bears and an elk. I took the photos from inside the vehicle and zoomed in with my phone camera.

I’ve lived my entire life in Alberta yet this was my first time at Maligne Lake. So glad my husband and I did it this trip.

My wife, daughter and I went on the first cruise of the day with Matt and Amelia. There were only five of us on the cruise. Matt & Amelia did a great job and made the experience memorable one. The lake was like glass all the way to Spirit Island and only started to rain a bit as we left the island. I would highly recommend this experience.
