        How to ride the rapids
Guides were very saftey conscious. I did not appreciate the manufactured water fight at the end of the ride. The rapids were just enough to get your heart pumping.

        Wildlife Tour
Sam did an excellent job driving us around and seeing the animals in Jasper National Park. It was a great tour. I was really sad about the wildfire which came through on Monday. Our trip was excellent!

Grateful for my time in Jasper
I had a wonderful day with Jamie as my guide. I learned so much about the area, got the chance to see some wildlife and amazing views, and enjoyed the pace of the trip. Specifically, I enjoyed getting off the bus for a short hike at the canyon and the boat ride on Maligne Lake among other stops. Thank you for a great day! My thoughts are still with everyone in Jasper as I am deeply saddened to hear about the devastation with the wildfires. The park is truly a gem.

        Extreme Discomfort on Sweltering Van
Do not recommend this tour as the company cares nothing about your comfort as they claim on their advertisement. They operated on an extremely hot day that was close to 100 degrees F with a broken air conditioner. When returning to the van after hikes, etc., the van was scorching hot and everyone needed to wait for it to "cool" somewhat. This was totally unacceptable. Unless they start to maintain their equipment as they should, recommend to stay far away! Tour guide was very knowledgeable but spoke the entire time which became annoying after a number of hours and added additional stress to an already highly uncomfortable situation.

        Family Fun on the Athabasca
We had an amazing time rafting the Athabasca. This adventure was perfect for young children; fun and exciting but not scary at all. Our guide Rory did an outstanding job making sure we had fun, and he was so good with the kids. Can't wait to go rafting again with this crew.

        Unmissable wildlife tour
Our guide was amazing - saw loads of wildlife including deer, elk, marmots, moose, bald eagle chicks and grouse and chicks. This was the evening we were then evacuated and advice was excellent. Hope everyone did get home safe and you will be able to resume as soon as is safe. It was a brilliant tour and thoroughly recommend.

Great tour saw loads of wildlife with Jake
Jake was our guide who was great. We saw deer, elk, elk with antlers, moose, eagles nest with eagles and two black bears. Just waiting for the grizzly now but it was 38C so understandably a bit hot for them

        Inexperienced rafters
As inexperienced rafters, our guide, Francois, was terrific in allaying our concerns and going gently over the rapids. The scenery was beautiful. Stephen, the bus driver/assistant was also very accommodating. Once we were comfortable on the river, we wished the trip was longer!

        Thanks Pascal!! Great tour guide
Our tour guide Pascal was awesome! Lots of local insight and tips, stories, history, etc. The cruise to Spirit Island was a favorite part of the trip. Got to see a HUGE elk, baby bald eagles on nest, deer, etc. Wish we could have seen bear and moose, but they were elusive. :( Rest of trip was terrific!

Well organised great first whitewater rafting experience. The guides were all excellent and looked after everyone. We felt safe - the views of the river, waterfalls and mountains are incredible. Our raft guide Thomas was fantastic - thank you

        A great evening wildlife tour
Kelli was a very informative and interesting tour guide. Her passion for the park and its wildlife was obvious. We saw lots of wildlife including a black bear with 2 cubs, elk, deer, marmot, osprey and 2 young bald eagles in their nest. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable tour and well worth the money.

        Excellent service and memorable trip
This tour was very interesting, especially for a family. Our tour guide, Kelly, told us meaningful information, like the stories of the land. We learned lots about bears from her and how to defend ourselves if we are near one which was very fun to hear about. Kelly was also very accommodating by offering us cold water bottles. She showed us different types of antlers as well. During the bus rides, we were allowed to quickly stop and take photos of wildlife. The trip was memorable ( written by Teenager)

My husband and I had a great time during this tour. Our guide, Jimmy is very knowledgable and passionate about animals. He packed the tour with fun facts about different wildlife animals commonly seen in Jasper. Not only did he go extra miles to ensure that we got to encounter as many wildlife as possible during the tour, he also taught us how to detect treks of bears and Moose so we may find them ourselves.

The hike was relatively easy and suitable for all. Scenic views are plenty throughout the ride and the walk as we covered Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake, Malign Lake, and Moose Lake.

Jimmy is very patient and accommodating. He set the pace so everyone got to enjoy the tour comfortably.

Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your Maligne Valley Sightseeing tour with Maligne Adventures! We are glad that you enjoyed the experience. Maligne valley has a lot pretty outstanding views to be seen and a lot of history! The guides really enjoy that area because there is so much going on and lots to talk about! Learning how to track animals is pretty cool to when you are seeing all the different foot prints!

Went on the wildlife tour and boat cruise today. Right from the start it was a pleasant experience. They picked us up right from my hotel in a comfortable bus. Several safety measures were taking due to covid , to make your adventure safe all the way through the tour. I can’t say enough about our main tour guide Kelly , she was great. Kelly was very well informed of the ecology of the area and has an extensive knowledge of the park and wildlife. I was truly learning something and entertained every moment of the tour. There was sufficient stops and breaks along the way. The sights were breathtaking and I was lucky to see some amazing wildlife. The bear and wapati deer and fawns nursing was quite a site. The guide and captain on the boat were also well informed and great as well. I was on the new boat in the fleet, it was amazing and a smooth comfortable voyage. (If you are sensitive to sea sickness , not to worry). If you are looking for a fun informative adventure. I rate this tour 5 stars. Thanks for the wonderful experience. I’ll be back next time I’m in Jasper.

This was a great day. The tour guide was Ross. Ross explained things as we went along. He is very informative. I choose to do the hike at Moose lake which was very good. Maligne Adventures offers hotel pick up and a central meeting point. Due to COVID masks must be worn on the bus. First we went to Maligne Canyon and then drove to Maligne lake. At the lake some people did the boat tour and I did the hike. My suggestion is to bring a lunch. This was an informative and fun day.

I was a little disappointed in this tour. It’s is listed as wildlife and waterfalls. I understand that wildlife is hard to predict and we did see some but waterfalls, we saw exactly 1.
Our tour guide was very friendly but was new to the job and was unable to answer some basic questions.
We took the hike, the Mary Schaefer Loop, at Maligne Lake and it was rather boring. A few scenic viewpoints but try little else to see and the guide did not point out or explain anything about the vegetation etc.

We had a lot of fun on this trip with our guide Jake. The trip covered almost all places in the Jasper National Park at a nice pace. Jake was extremely knowledgeable and humorous too! It was our lucky day- we saw 3 black bears, 1 moose (up and close), bald eagles, osprey and a few deers and elks. The encounter with moose was the most interesting. We were just 4 of us with Jake on the Maligne lake hike (most of the other folks had taken the Maligne lake cruise option). When we had walked just about 1/4 f a mile, we encountered this female moose, who got startled by a pair of rabbits and decided to charge in our direction! Jake took swift action and guided us to safety via some trees to keep a distance of 100 feet from the moose. We were able to continue the hike after giving a wide berth for the moose. Overall, it was an awesome experience!

It sounds like you had an incredibly lucky day with wildlife sightings, including three black bears, a moose, bald eagles, osprey, and a few deer and elk. This was a fantastic trip where we got so much packed into one trip - waterfalls, lakes, wildlife and a boat trip on Maligne Lake. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and mature. We had younger and less experienced guides on other tours (including the boat ride) who were fine, but this guide was a step above. He showed us everything, was attentive to our needs, worked really hard to find us wildlife (we saw a bear, a moose, eagles, marmot, and a dear) and provided an incredible wealth of information. We could not have been happier or more appreciative.

From the very start the service was outstanding and there was clearly an attempt to formulate an inclusive party. The guide had an intensive knowledge of both the wildlife and the geology of the area which he freely shared. We would have no hesitation in recommending this tour. We were fortunate to see various animals during the course of our trip. Thank you.

Ross is such an incredible guide, so full of knowledge and self experience. We learned so much about Jasper and the surrounding area. From the history of Jasper both the city and the National Park to the animals and how they help each other to survive. Going to Moose Lake and seeing the mama moose across the lake was a real thrill..

This was an excellent tour. The guides were very knowledgeable and flexible in the itinerary to maximise our wildlife experience even taking a detour to see a Grizzly that was close to town. Fortunate to see a lot of wildlife, bears, bear cub, elk, deer, marmots, bald eagle. Only downside was the hike was curtailed due to the route being still snowbound. Would highly recommend and very good value
