Amazing Bike Ride, Comfortable for all skill level
We went on the early morning ride, and it was fabulous! Troy was our tour guide, and he was very informative about the area and the history of the trestles. He never rushes us during our journey, and I highly recommend this activity. Also, The scenery was amazing!

        Myra Canyon Bike Rental Rocks!
We love to take visiting friends and family up to Myra Canyon and, most years, are up there at least three or four times. Almost always, we rent bikes for our company as we only have a dual bike rack on our vehicle. It’s hard not to be totally impressed with the trestles and the beautiful scenery in the canyon . Equally impressive, though, is the bike rental crew! Joe and his staff provide quality bikes along with excellent service. Joe came to the rescue when I had a flat tire and thought I would be pushing the bike the whole way back to the trail head. Your consideration and helpfulness was VERY much appreciated! Thank you so much ;-) Don’t hesitate to use Myra Canyon Bike Rental - they are the best! Julie Mulligan

        Superb tour. Superb tour guide.
This was wonderful. The views, the restored trestles, the tunnels blasted from solid rock, all of it was stunning and interesting. Ben Vos, owner, guided me. Though the trails are all perfectly safe, they're up high and my bicycling skills have diminished and my acrophobia kicked in. I wanted to do as much of the tour as possible but I preferred to walk my bike and I felt a bit embarrassed. With absolute patience and sweetness, so my sense of comfort was restored, Ben said he would be happy to walk alongside me, which he did. I give the tour my highest rating and Ben my highest rating. He's a gentleman.

        Tour with Troy in September
I took the bike tour with some of the group I was travelling with. Troy was great and helped me get going on my bike several times. I unfortunately had trouble pushing off on the bike to get started. Once going I was fine. He never made me feel bad about that, which I appreciated. I have not been on a bike for years. It was sunny and cool and great views up there. Great feeling riding along with the cool air in your face. I would have been fine going in one direction only, might be nice if that was an option. The ride is easy enough, very flat most of the way. It was great!

        Fantastic Experience
Troy, our driver and tour guide, did a fantastic job with telling of the history of the area. He made sure everyone felt safe on the bikes and made the experience very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

        An amazing, welcoming experience!
I booked my tour very last minute as I really wanted to get to the Myra Canyon and I had no car, so this tour was perfect! They easily fitted me in and I got picked up straight from my hostel! I joined the tour with another couple and the guide was so great at introducing us, welcoming us and making us feel at home. He was so knowledgeable about the canyons and the route and was so easy to talk to. He was so kind and friendly to me and taught me so much about this region and it's employment opportunities! He made sure we learnt a lot and had a great bike ride but also that we got all the touristy pictures we could want! The bike ride was very nice and relaxing witj some incredible scenery.Thank you so much for going above and beyond to care for us and for making my solo trip to Kelowna so much more special! This would be a great family friendly trip!

Fun bike ride and delicious wine tasting!
We had booked a self-guided tour in advance but upon arrival, we were informed that we were free to join a guided tour. Alain, our guide, was very kind and he took into account everyone’s fitness so nobody felt left out. In the afternoon, Alain drove us to the vineyards for our wine tour. He was playful with our group, which was nice. We’re not a fan of stiffness so we welcomed him joking around with us. All in all, a vert fun and diverse day.

Absolutely loved this short 20km round trip cycle on an old railway line through the mountains.
The views were spectacular. A beautiful vista awaits you around each curve. Easy cycling. Wonderful host. A cycling trip not to be missed.

The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. I was blown away and am incredibly appreciative, especially when they helped me get out of a tough situation I found myself in on the trail.

An amazing day. Really worth to do!
We got lucky to have a private guided tour on that day as we were the only two booked for it. Our guide was very friendly and knew alot of the canyon's history and fun facts, shuttle was large clean and air conditioned. I recommend the tour to anybody who comes visit Kelowna. The views on the canyon are stunning and the staff is super friendly!

The company were amazing to deal with. We unfortunately couldn't make the tour but they went above and beyond to ensure we recieved our refund even though the credit card we booked on had been cancelled. I can not give them a high enough recommendation.

Amazing experience from start to finish.
This was one of our favourite family activities ever! It combines panoramic mountain vistas, tremendous feats of human ingenuity and engineering, BC railway history, and encounters with wildlife. If you are in the area, this is an experience but to be missed. A few things to know: - You drive about 8 km on a gravel road to reach the canyon, a bit rough in spots but generally well maintained. - The sign in process to pick up our bikes was well organized and seamless. Staff were all helpful and well trained. - The bikes are more of a cruiser style so you sit up more upright than a typical mountain bike. They were very comfortable and had 24 gears to work with, though I was found I only needed a few and did the majority of the ride easily in gears 8-10. - There are washrooms at the beginning, middle and end of the 12 km trail, and markers at each kilometre so you know where you are. - We went at 9 a.m. and would highly recommend this as it was cooler and there were less people early on. We also lucked out with a partly cloudy day which kept things cooler as well. - We crossed all 18 trestles and then turned around just past the 10 km mark. It took us about three hours with plenty of stops for photos, snacks, and to hang out with the curious little ground squirrels!

We booked the full day guided tour starting with cycling the KVR Trail across the trestle bridges in the morning followed by a winery tour in the afternoon. The company was fantastic answering our questions leading up to the trip as we assessed fire and air quality concerns from afar, offering a number of options should we decide to reschedule. On the tour day they graciously moved us to the next day due to rain. Martin was our guide and he was very accommodating and easy to be around. He took many family photos at the various scenic spots on the bike tour and fit in well with our family chatter and banter as he drove us to five different wineries in the area in the afternoon. We had a super fun day and would recommend Myra Canyon Bike Rentals and Tours to anyone visiting Kelowna.

It was a nice bike ride over the kettle trail, we enjoyed it very much. Even whilst it was very warm in Kelowna the route offered shade and cool air. It is not a cheap activity 135 dollar for 2 bikes, 1 with tail-along but in our view, it was worth it.

Thank you very much for your excellent rating, feedback and recommendation. Every day we trailer our bicycles and equipment for about 30min to the trailhead of the Myra Canyon (east side of the canyon at Myra Station). We offer the convenience of renting right at the start of the trail and riding the bicycle over 18 trestles and through 2 tunnels on this flat and smooth trail. The rental is $44+tax per bicycle or equipment. Thank you for being our customer! We recommend everybody to visit the beautiful Myra Canyon!

We had not expected more than drizzle so were a little under-dressed for the occasion, but the rental team have everything you need to equip you for a comfortable and fun ride along the trail and over the trestle bridges...

It's a pity there are not (yet?) longer routes that allow for bike-packing type holidays, like EUROVELO, but hopefully it's just a matter of time!

Thank you for your rating and feedback. We are happy to hear that you had a fun and comfortable ride at the Myra Canyon despite some of the the conditions. We try to do anything possible to make the visit at the Myra Canyon a nice and unforgettable experience. The Myra Canyon is the most impressive section of the Kettle Valley Railway route with 18 wooden and steel trestles and 2 tunnels on a flat and smooth trail of about 12km from one side of the canyon to the other and the same way back. Along the way are many information signs and benches to take a rest and enjoy the beautiful nature and views. A visit to the Myra Canyon on a half-day bicycle ride is always a worthwhile activity. Thank you for visiting us!

Today we went to the bike rentals at Myra Canyon. Tried to call to inquire about the bikes the day before but no answer. Tried to book bikes the night before but they require 12 hours notice to book the bikes. Ok, so we decided to take our chances and drove up. Upon arrival we wanted to try our luck with bikes for 2 adults and 2 boys. The man (older with French accent) who “greeted” us was absolutely terrible and should not work in customer service or hospitality. First he made us feel bad about not having a reservation. Ok. Then, I mentioned that we would only ride for 1-2 hours and he cut me off saying “it’s the same price no matter how long you ride” - making me feel cheap. My intention was to say that if the afternoon was full we did not intend to take the full 4 hours. Then he checked to see if there were enough kids bikes at the moment. There was not. He told us we could sit and wait somewhere on a bench as long as my 2 young boys were quiet. He had to mention that he heard them in the lineup and said we could only wait (which was another 2 hours) as long as they kept quiet. Unbelievably rude for him to say. Didn’t know we were in a church or library, we are in the middle of a mountain. My kids were excited and he definitely ruined everyone’s day with his absolutely poor attitude and condescending tone as if we were riff raff. Never has my family been treated in such a manner before by a stranger, never mind someone who works in tourism. And to top it off, as we left that container, we adults were talking to see what we should do next, wait or hike, and we inadvertently wandered into the tent where you sign waivers. He came at us immediately and told us rudely to get out from under the tent as if we were cattle and a big bother to him. Wow just wow. Unbelievably rude and uncalled for. Sorry we accidentally stood under your tent to talk while no one else was under it. Needless to say you ruined our day, not to mention my 7 year old son who was celebrating his bday that day. I called you out on your rude behaviour right there and you should have apologized. We did nothing to deserve that kind of offensive treatment.

We are sorry to hear about your disappointing visit to our bike rental station. We do our best to provide the best service possible and accommodate everyone; Unfortunately, we seem to have fallen short on your visit. Due to COVID-19 we are forced to work under stricter rules and regulations as prescribed by WorksafeBC, Health Canada, the B.C. government and other governing bodies. This means that due to limitations put upon us, we have had to operate differently this year. As is mentioned on the front page of our website we are operating with a limited fleet of kids and adult bikes, no tandems and are unable to have a concession stand. This limitation in combination with your unreserved visit on the busiest day so far, meant that we were out of kids bikes. Our voicemail indicates that reservations can be made on our website, or if you had left a voicemail the day before, it would have allowed us to call you back and inform you of the availability of bicycles and the reservation process. Furthermore, we have spoken with the employee involved, who has many years experience in the hospitality field and extensive experience as a public speaker for audiences of all ages. He has explained his point of view and has apologized to you in a direct message to let It be known it was not his intention to offend you. Everyone is free to do as they please while in the parking lot, but once you enter our roped of areas it is like entering the doors of our business and we carry the responsibility of enforcing all the COVID-19 related rules and Guidelines. If our staff does not enforce these rules, we risk facing fines or being shut down. The employee did what was asked of him by enforcing those rules on your visit. He has made an apology to both us and yourself that if you took his wording as offensive, he did not mean it to be offensive. Although we were unable to help you with a bike rental, we offered a place to sit and wait in case bikes became available and explained what you could see if you chose to hike. We apologize for the perceived hostility by our staff, but we must continue to enforce the COVID-19 rules in order to keep everyone safe. We are a family business and value the importance of a great day out with your family. If you are ever concerned with anything including the treatment by a staff member, we always have one of our family members on site to assist your family. (or send an email which are all handled by a family member as well.) Hopefully on your next visit we can provide you with bikes and a more positive experience. Kind regards, Myra Canyon Bicycle Rentals and Tours Inc.

We were very much looking forward to this tour. The operator is very well organized with friendly and communicative staff. 5 stars for customer service!
The bikes are functional for the tour but not overly comfortable. That's more an issue with the trail than the bikes, I think.
The first 12 km through the Myra Canyon are amazing. The trestles are so interesting and there are lots of photo opportunities. In retrospect we had wished we had booked the 1/2 day tour and cycled Myra Canyon and back.
On our full day self-guided tour to Penticton, though, the trail got really bad and unpleasant to ride. Lots of pot holes and sandy patches that made the bikes swirl around and made riding hard work for about 45km.
After that, above Narramatta, the trail got a lot better and it was a pure pleasure to ride down with the spectacular view of the lake and wine country.
If we did this again, we would do it in two sections, Myra Canyon for a 1/2 day tour and then rent a bike in Penticton and rid up the KVR Trail until the trail deteriorates, about 15-20 km in.

Thank you very much for your review and wonderful recommendation of our customer service and the marvellous trail experience of the Myra Canyon. The KVR trail (especially between Myra Canyon and Penticton) is in the woods, in true wilderness and the maintenance is provided by different government parties. We are not involved in the maintenance. Government and third party contractors have improved the trail over the last year but there are still parts which need further attention. We inform our client about the trail situation and let them know that it is not a perfect trail when choosing to ride the full-day tour from Myra Canyon to Penticton. We thank you, though, for your feedback!

The staff were pleasant and knowledge able their equipment and our safety, the bikes (and child trailer) worked very well, and the trail was absolutely incredible! A wonderful experience and a real adventure. It was one of those days with "four seasons in one day" - sun, rain, wind, dramatic clouds, and back to sun. The puddles were truly massive and deep - up to our knees. If these are the conditions I highly recommend taking the rubber boots that the company offers. The teens loved the challenge so while slow going it added a lot of character. These are very unusual conditions for July in Kelowna, which is normally very hot and dry.

The seventy kilometer-long ride from Myra Canyon to Penticton can often be an adventure and that’s what makes it so rewarding. It’s so nice to hear that your teens enjoyed the challenge of the ride. The conditions, including lake-size puddles and inclimate weather, are different every time I ride the trail; and that’s what I like about it. Thanks for your thoughtful review. Hope to see you again.

It’s my long awaited wish to experience biking along a portion of this historic railway and it was finally realized on 29-June-2020. It was a perfect timing because Myra Canyon Bike Rentals had just re-opened for business a couple of days before our visit to Kettle Valley Railway. The staffs of this Bike Rentals are very friendly. We felt most welcome during our visit. As an added bonus, they are located right at the start of the trail, which makes it perfect for visitors who can’t bring their own bikes. They also provide helmets so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. During this pandemic though, you probably want to bring your own food and drinks because there are plenty of places to stop by along the trail and enjoy your lunch or snacks in the midst of nature with spectacular views.

I would categorize this Trail as easy for all levels and all ages, even for beginners. The only challenge that I noticed from beginners is to be comfortable biking on the Trestle Bridges. If you are a beginner and wanted to experience this trail, I highly recommend practicing to gain more experience so that you’ll be comfortable all the time along this magnificent trail.

Dit is zeker een aanrader als je in de omgeving van Kelowna bent. Wij zijn de nummer 1 atractie in Kelowna en hebben sinds kort ook de wel bekende Gazelle E bike in onze fleet of fietsen.

Didn't book but being early in the season they were fairly quiet so could accommodate "walk-ins".
Flat trails and maintained bikes allow you some fantastic vistas and easy riding.
      Absolutely recommend it.

Thank you for your 5-star rating and feedback on your experience. We always bring some extra bicycles to the trailhead for walk-in rentals, but strongly encourage online reservations beforehand. With a reservation, the bicycle will be set aside and ready to go upon arrival. Thank you again for recommending our business!
