- Douglas W0 contributionsAWE INSPIRING BEAUTY SEAPLANE RIDEThis was AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME ! The drive alone from Vancouver to Whistler was just so amazing, The changing of the leaves, the splendor of nature, pictures cannot do it justice. The seaplane flight was fantastic, the crew and pilot were great. The views awe inspiring. This is a must do adventure if you can go.Written September 25, 2024
- carolwN1007TK0 contributionsFantasy day tripWhat a fabulous trip/day out. We were lucky and the weather was just perfect. We were treated very well and professionally by Harbour Air and after the seaplane, we hopped on a bus which took us to the Capilano suspension bridge which was stunning all round the rainforest. Would highly recommend this day out to anyone.Written September 21, 2024
- Elsbeth C0 contributionsStressful and disappointingUnfortunately due to weather conditions the plane trip was delayed for nearly 2 hours which didn’t leave us enough time to explore Victoria and Butchart Gardens. We decided on Butchart Gardens but didn’t have enough time to go back and meet BC Ferries connector. We took a transit bus to the Ferry and then had to pay another $38.20 for the ticket. Lucky we found the bus driver on the Ferry and we had a way to get back downtown. So whole trip was a bit of a disappointment.Written September 20, 2024
- 562gwenr0 contributionsExpensive but worth wGreat company… weather can always be tricky, so trips do get cancelled.. we were able to make it out, and the weather was beautiful. Even my husband, who is not really into flowers, loved Butchart gardens. Our bus driver was fabulous and informative, and the views on the way back in the sea plane were amazing. Highly recommend!!Written September 15, 2024
- Compass6905410 contributionsTerrible customer serviceTerrible customer service. Arrived early and they had planes with space available, but their policy would not allow changing flights. How ridiculous in this day. They could’ve sold my later flight while earlier flights left with empty seats.Written September 15, 2024
- S7681BCalinak0 contributionsSeaplane Tour and Capilano Suspension BridgeThe views of Vancouver from the seaplane were jaw dropping. The photos don’t do them justice. One thing I will say is you take all your photos through the windows so there is a glare on the photos from the glass. Capilano was so much fun! Definitely worth a visit!Written September 12, 2024
- alancartwright120 contributionsA Spectacular Flight and Rare ExperienceThese seaplane flights are highly recommended, particularly as an unusual experience for British travellers. The Sea Otter aircraft may be old and a little tight, for comfort but they are maintained in excellent condition and flown by highly skilled pilots. As a later flight, in their day's programme, our departure was delayed by about 20 minutes. However, Captain Rob apologised and provided us with an extended flight, as compensation.... How good was that?! So, in place of a 45 minute 'experience', including taxiing and flight, we had nearly an hour I'm the air, with spectacular views of Vancouver city and the mountains to the North. Thank you, Captain Rob, and Harbour Air.Written September 9, 2024
- 52herculesr0 contributionsHighlight of Our Vancouver VisitThe highlight of our visit to Vancouver this year. It was easy to book and was great value. The pilot was charming. There were five passengers, each with a window view. The take off and landing was exhilarating and the views of Vancouver, the harbour, Grouse Mountain , Lion Bridge & Stanley Park & surrounding areas were wonderful.Written September 2, 2024
- bharathr880 contributionsPlease avoid this company for the whistler scenic tours!Absolute waste of money!! Please avoid at all costs! Let me get the positives in first: 1. Easy to book online. 2. Flight’s take of and landing was smooth. 3. Scenery is very beautiful. What makes it so bad? Absolute zero commentary from the pilot. Not a word on the flight. Not even a summary of what landmarks this trip will cover. The pilot pretty much is flying this plane to make up his flight hours. The scenery is quite beautiful, but you have no idea what you are flying over, which lake are you looking at, which mountain you are flying over. There are so many sea plane/ regular plane companies that do a damn good job keeping their guests informed. I have flown planes in multiple places but never felt this bored on a flight! After landing, I checked with the pilot and asked him about the lack of communication. He just ddnt seem bothered. As said above, he only wanted to complete his hours. He directly told me to leave a negative review online. Just following instructions here!! Please don’t waste your money with this company.Written August 31, 2024

- williamfT6174VK0 contributionsFunAirplame ride was a somewhat crowded experience but we got a very exciting view of the entire area. Very nice but crowded. While the included Capilano swaying suspension foot bridge is not necessarily a good idea for the elderly as the more crowded it gets the more it weaves and sways. Expensive but the enormous beautiful, park, pond and facilities make it a must see and it's educational. Enjoy BnEWritten August 28, 2024
- Sightsee322063499820 contributionsSeaplane and garden tour in VictoriaThe weather was bad but the larger size seaplanes were able to get us over to Victoria for our day trip. The flight was rough and lasted about 40 minutes. Bus transfer the Butchart Gardens was okay- once we realized we needed to check in with Gray Line tours in front of The Empress Hotel and get additional boarding pass. Pick up signage was Minimal, so that was confusing. Bus driver was excellent and talked about Victoria as well as the Butchart family and history of the garden on the 40 minute ride. The gardens are spectacular. As a third generation gardener, I have been to many gardens over my lifetime. I have completed gardening programs at the New York Botanical Garden and been a member of the NYBG as well as the Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC. Despite the rainy gloomy start to the day, the sun came out by afternoon and the weather was perfect. The garden was fairly crowded on a Saturday but is so well laid out and impeccably maintained that it did not dampen the experience. We started with visit to the coffee shop, stopped for lunch in The Blue Poppy and finished up with visit to the Seed and Gift Store. Seaplane back home was excellent and the pilot was great. Sorry I didn’t get his name but he was the one from Virginia who has twin brother and been in Vancouver for 20 years. Highly recommend this trip.Written August 25, 2024

We decided on the day to take a sea plane tour of the city and wow it was amazing. Booking was easy and we opted for the package where you had an audio tour and a drink in the bar afterwards. The views were amazing with plenty of opportunity to take some stunning photos. The flight took off and landed smoothly and the pilot and crew staff very friendly. This is an excellent way to see Vancouver by air and I would highly recommend.

Imagine -dark and tumultuous cloud closing-in on the City. A ray of sunshine streams down and lights our seaplane as it takes off, spray and spume flying! Then this incredible enormous city spread out before us! AMAZING! And the pilot was a great and funny guy too. He swept us over towards Bowen Island, and it too was lit by the sun amidst ominous cloud. There is so much more we want to explore now! Then we were off to the hanging bridge at Kitsilano. We did all the trails and elevated walkways, and then had a picnic before crossing back. It was so serene there...

This was my first time booking a ticket or flying with Harbour Air. I did the Mail Run tour which I thoroughly recommend for anyone who wants to experience multiple takeoffs and landings over breathtaking scenery. I was thoroughly impressed with the company throughout the process, from booking my flight to my flight experience. While Harbour Air initially booked me for the wrong flight day accidentally, they quickly owned up to this mistake and did everything they could to make it right. They responded promptly to each of my emails and calls with different options. They worked with me consistently until I was satisfied with the outcome. That itself would have been impressive enough. The staff at the Harbour Air check-in in Vancouver and Salt Spring Island were equally cordial, professional, and patient with me. I loved the coffee bar and baked goods which were complementary for those with a plane ticket. My pilots were friendly, instructive, and professional, and my flights were breathtaking. I can't wait to return to Vancouver for another opportunity to fly with them.

Booked the panorama classic seaplane tour over Vancouver many months ago to make sure I got my seat! I paid a little extra for the 'guaranteed window seat' which essentially gives you free choice of seating through the 'priority boarding pass'. I got the co-pilot's seat which gave front and side views throughout the tour. Took in views of Stanley Park, views towards Whistler, the harbour and over the city. Absolutely brilliant and so worth while - not just the views, but also to fly in a seaplane! Harbour Air were so welcoming and professional throughout from initial welcome and check-in in the terminal, to boarding and welcome on board by the pilot who also took photographs and arranged seating in the 'plane before takeoff.

It was easy to book the experience on-line while in Vancouver even as a UK visitor.
On the day of the experience I followed the signs approaching the Harbour area to the seaplanes’ boarding area where there are sizable premises for check-in with a number of seaplane operators as it serves travel as well as experiences. Check in was quick and easy, ID is necessary. There’s plenty of seating with views of the harbour and complimentary coffee and tea for passengers, a shop selling snacks was doing steady business.
The flight tour itself is fun and engaging, we were met by the pilot at the gate and followed him to the plane, he gave us a quick brief on boarding, seating and seat belts. The pilot and ground crew all give a sense of a safe, competent and experienced operation and the aircraft looks in excellent condition. It’s a honed operation that addresses safety efficiently. It’s quick to board and get seated with the pilot and ground (jetty) crew helping throughout so we were pulling away from the jetty very soon.
A seaplane is a very smooth way to fly, the weather was clear with some sunshine and blue sky so we were lucky. Take off is exciting as with smaller propeller aircraft, the pitch of the engine and the spray from the floats and the speed it covers the water are thrilling and it’s a smooth ride. We had a good 20minutes in the air covering the harbour area heading further out west and back to circle downtown Vancouver before landing. A height in hundreds of feet means quite a lot of detail of buildings, boats, etc is apparent (it was clear weather) with phenomenal views of the extensive Vancouver district which was engaging and compelling, if the flight lasted an hour I wouldn’t have been bored and an aerial view of downtown where I’d been staying the last week rounded off the experience and the visit perfectly. Landing is smooth and we’re back at the mooring jetty in no time. Looking back, it needed about an hour and a quarter for the entire experience keeping to the advised check-in schedule. A really enjoyable experience and a great way to end a week in downtown Vancouver.

They stole $800 from us and gave our tickets to other customers, refused to give us a refund or rebook us on another flight- absolute scam- total crooks who steal money from their “clients” avoid this place like the plague they are unethical and have no qualms about ripping off older ladies. We were in town for the Pacific Dental Conference and heard good things about this tour, paid $800, arrived 18 minutes before our flight and were told that we were 2 minutes too late and they’d given our tickets away (even though there was nothing about a check in time on the confirmation page). You absolutely cannot in good conscience keep our $800 and then give away our seats when we are there ready to get on the plane and refuse to give us a refund. This is highway robbery, do not do business with this company!!

Inside the cabin was very smelly. Gasoline smell all over the cabin. I think seaplane was too old. Harbour Air in Canada has to change or remodel them. At least inside the cabin. We pay $550 for 20 minutes for 3 adults and 1 child.

This thrilling experience meant we were able to see the fantastic skyline of downtown Vancouver, the scenic beauty of the snowy mountains and the stunning views of the Strait and various gulf islands in British Columbia.
The staff were super friendly, inviting and you are even offered complimentary hot drinks and cake whilst you wait in the boarding lounge.
The pilot was also great and made us all feel safe and welcome, also granting us with a chat post flight to tell us of his further travels that day.
As mentioned, the views were breathtaking and it’s a fantastic novelty to fly in a seaplane, something I’d never thought I’d do and 30 minutes felt like just the right amount of time for the experience as well.
I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely excellent experience ! My partner booked this trip for the two of us, and we were lucky enough to have ‘Sam’ as our pilot for the morning. It was supposed to be a 20 minute tour, but was more like 40 mins. We did get lucky with the weather, as it was a beautiful day, and the views around Vancouver bay, over Stanley Park, and a loop or two over the city, was just superb.
I thoroughly recommend this tour, it’s not cheap but the memories are priceless.
The aircraft and facilities were very well maintained, and safety comes first, which is very reassuring.
If you’re looking for a buzz taking off from the water, and then seeing the beautiful Vancouver bay/city, and then to land back on the bay, then this is a great trip to arrange.

Absolutely incredible experience with Harbour Air on Salt Spring Island. Our 10:30 am flight to Vancouver was canceled due to poor weather. The staff immediately advised us of alternatives including re-booking a later flight and ferry options. We re-booked knowing full well that the 1:20 pm flight may be canceled (and it was). The Harbour Air staff immediately issued us a refund and shuttled us to the ferry. The staff made us feel welcome to stay in the waiting area with coffee and snacks and provided exceptional service. Thank you so much!

The plane is small so I don't think you'll be able to store it inside. But the front desk area is like 100m away from the plane. You should be able to store it there. Although the staff was very sweet, I suggest call once before booking and confirm this.
