      Vancouver Harbour Air Tour
I love flying harbor air for travel, but I think it's absolutely bananas that if you book a seaplane tour over Vancouver with your significant other that you don't get to sit together. There was a couple on our flight who were forced to sit apart - the husband sat in a front middle seat (so he had to peer over a stranger the whole time), and the wife sat at the very back on her own in a single seat. For a flight, I understand, you are just getting from A to B, but a seaplane tour is an expensive adventure that you obviously want to experience with the person you booked with. My sister and I were lucky enough to sit together in a two seater, but why don't they enforce that if you are a single flyer you sit in the single seat, and couples sit in the couple seats? Just bonkers.

Fun getaway only two hours from Seattle
It was a beautiful sunny day and we had a chance to see all of downtown as well as part of the outlying area. I highly recommend this trip if you want to see the city from an aerial view as you, get to enjoy the landscape. The trip itself is 30 minutes, but feels longer.

      Great experience - 10 stars!!!!
We booked the sightseeing flight almost two months ago and were really excited about what to expect. Today, Easter Monday, was the day. As we were early enough at check-in, we were given two tickets for priority boarding. When we arrived at the aircraft, the captain offered to let one of us sit in the co-pilot's seat. As a big aeroplane fan, I didn't need to be told twice. The flight itself was great. We flew towards the mountains, then downtown, past beautiful nature and over blue water. The sun did the rest and bathed Vancouver in a fantastic light. Unfortunately, the 20 minutes went by very quickly. The flight was worth every cent. We will be back and then book a longer flight.

      Must Experience tour of Vancouver
An awesome and exciting way to see Vancouver. Our tour was about 30 minutes and even without a fully sunny day it was well worth the time, energy (and flight anxiety!) we are locals and still really enjoyed ourselves.

      Fabulous first flight.
What an amazing adventure. My first time on a seaplane and it was a great experience. The location is easy to find, the pilot was friendly and informative, and the flight was prefect. Just enough time in the air to see the beautiful downtown and mountain skylines. I highly recommend this sightseeing opportunity.

So much fun! The flight provided amazing views of the city and nearby mountains, parks, ocean and ships. We took the 20 minute flight. We would love to come back and do a longer one!

Great flight. Even in overcast conditions the views were awesome. Next time will book a longer flight. 20 mins was just a bit short for us.

      THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
They stole $800 from us and gave our tickets to other customers, refused to give us a refund or rebook us on another flight- absolute scam- total crooks who steal money from their “clients” avoid this place like the plague they are unethical and have no qualms about ripping off older ladies. We were in town for the Pacific Dental Conference and heard good things about this tour, paid $800, arrived 18 minutes before our flight and were told that we were 2 minutes too late and they’d given our tickets away (even though there was nothing about a check in time on the confirmation page). You absolutely cannot in good conscience keep our $800 and then give away our seats when we are there ready to get on the plane and refuse to give us a refund. This is highway robbery, do not do business with this company!!

      Best 20 minutes ever!
I was so impressed with everything about this tour, from the front desk with the nice, helpful staff, to the waitress in The Cock Pit Cafe who was so kind to me, to the pilot and the folks who handled the actual plane ride. The take off and landing was super smooth and the pilot made sure to do a full circle of Vancouver so that every passenger could take pictures and video from all directions. Best 20 minutes ever!!!!

Very well organized charter. The weather was great for Vancouver. Pilot was very good too. Overall great experience.
The view was amazing and weather was great for Vancouver for this time of the year. Everyone was very professional. We really enjoyed our short flight around Vancouver downtown and harbour area. Seeing the city from the bird eye view was special.

      Co-pilot 👍🏻
I had originally booked for early morning 10.30 but my flight was postponed due to foggy weather, so I was rescheduled for 12.30. When we got to the plane the lovely pilot asked if anyone wanted to be co-pilot so I threw my hand up and got to go in the cockpit with him. Had a great view over the city and a great experience. 100% the best thing to do in Vancouver!

      Thumbs down
Harbour air sent a text message “informing me that I had 4 minutes left to check in” I was there at 11:01 instead of 11, when they told me I was unable to get on my flight that left 25 minutes later, I had to pay again for the next flight, when asked why even send a text, they said to give me another chance , what chance Is 4 Minutes???, also , if they had made the signage more clear I wouldn’t have spent 10 minutes trying to figure out where to go and I would have been there at 10:50 however the signage was confusing and I got lost. Bad experience all around, the agent was incredibly frustrating and unkind aswell. The only thing they did was tell me they gave my seat away and I would need to pay again.. but don’t worry they’ll make me pay another 100$ instead of 120 . Other than that it was okay, the pilot was nice and the plane back was 30 mins delayed

The seaplane ride to Victoria is an amazing experience. Victoria is beautiful but can be windy and if it’s windy there’ll be no whale watching trips. Very beautiful ferry ride home but a four hour journey including bus, ferry the another bus dropping off at various places!

The seaplane was terrific! It was easy to check in, the instructions were clearly communicated and the experience was so fun. The return trip was just the opposite. The bus check in is 30 prior to departure so you sit on a hot bus for 30 min. The ride is long and uninteresting. The ferry is ok but the bus ride back to Vancouver is unreasonable. In our case, the bus had to make an unplanned stop at the airport! Making the ride back over 5 hours. FIVE HOURS! Ending an otherwise really nice day this way was very unfortunate!

A great way to see Vancouver and Victoria from the air. Easy check-in and boarding, amazing flight across to Victoria. Plenty of time in Victoria, which is a beautiful place to see. Then, a coach ride to the ferry terminal and beautiful scenery on the crossing back to Vancouver, followed by a coach ride back downtown. It was not cheap and a long day (12 hours). The coach driver was a bit stressed out, but all in all, it was a good day and worth the cost.

The 40 minutes seaplane trip to Victoria was great. Very smooth and with great views.
Took 50 minutes on trainsit bus 75 to Butchart garden, but had enough time coverred everything in 3 hours and back to catch the return BC Connection bus (leaving 3:45pm). If you want see more of Victoria, would suggest stay overnight at least.

We enjoyed this outing. The sea plane was a lot of fun. Visiting Victoria was nice. The bus and ferry were fine but I think I’d skip next time and splurge in high speed ferry or seaplane back. I knew the timing for all and it was pretty spot on. So all in all it worked well and as advertised.

Not being a fan of flying I was very apprehensive about taking a seaplane to travel roundtrip from Vancouver to Victoria, but it was the best and fastest way to get there and so I took a deep breath and booked passage for my husband and I. And may I say, what a wonderful flying experience. Harbour Air offers free bus shuttle from Vancouver airport to Richmond which is where the seaplanes are docked. Maybe 5 minutes away? The checkin process is very efficient and fast. Boarding was efficient. Can't tell you what type of plane it was, but on both trips we had approximately 10 passengers plus the pilot. One advantage to traveling in a seaplane is you don't fly at an extremely high altitude so we were able to see the islands, and water of course! Both flights were maybe 25 minutes. We landed, retrieved our luggage and voila! we were on land. I'll be honest I wouldn't fly a 2 hour trip in a seaplane but we'll definitely consider one for future Canadian trips.

Dear SHARON C, Thank you for your five-star review! We're so glad to hear that you tried flying via seaplane for the first time and enjoyed the experience! As you mentioned, the convenience and time savings just can't be beat. It sounds like you were travelling in one of our Single Otter aircrafts which seats up to 14 passengers plus the pilot. The views of the Gulf Islands and mountains in the distance are absolutely stunning at the lower flying altitude. We look forward to welcoming you aboard again on your next trip to Canada - may we suggest you try flying to Whistler if you visit during the summer months! -Harbour Air TripAdvisor Team

After an Alaskan cruise ending in Vancouver, we decided to visit Victoria and used the BC Ferries as transportation from the airport. We had a reservation and was met at the airport by a BC Ferries representative who took us to a bus. We boarded the bus and picked up passengers at one other stop and at the bus terminal where we sat about 15 minutes. The bus then took us to the ferry and drove onto the ferry. We disembarked the bus while on the ferry and were free to eat, shop, or enjoy the scenery and before getting into Victoria we boarded the bus again. The bus took us to downtown Victoria to the BC Ferries building where we hopped a taxi to our hotel. The experience was seamless and easy to do. The cost was reasonable and the scenery was dramatic. All in all a wonderful ride and great way to see the area!

I am glad that we did two different things, the seaplane for outbound and the ferry inbound, we enjoyed both. The staff were very helpful and warm. The plane (a bit noisy) but felt safe and calm, the sea and islands you could see from above were beautiful. The ferry was very crowded but we managed to get into a buffet restaurant where it was quiet and provided with abundance of good-quality food from salads to cooked food, soup to all kinds of drinks and cakes! We don't eat a lot, but we could see how relaxed and happy other people around us were. We spent the whole journey in the restaurant until we were called to go back to our coach. The coach driver was not just a driver, he also acted as a guide and explained to us all significant buildings/sites along the way. We were dropped back to a place very close to our hotel so to complete a stress-free and much enjoyable day. Of course the Butchart Gardens are simply breathtaking - I have never seen so many stunning and different flowers/plants at one place! I highly recommend it.

Nice and smooth, very efficient and wonderful views. One of the many highlights of our recent Alberta/BC holiday. We chose the single engined seaplane as recommended, as the windows were larger than on the twin engined seaplanes. Much quieter than I had expected (but then I am a little deaf).
