My wife and I actually live in North Vancouver but had a great time in spite of our knowledge of the area, thanks largely to our guide, Kelsey. We had not heard of, let alone, been to most of the places she took us to. The food and drink choices were great and we didn't need dinner on our return home. The tour was well organised and Kelsey made it even more interesting with all the historical tidbits she imparted. Worth every penny.

What a delightful way to spend an afternoon - discovering hidden gems in the restaurants and tasting rooms of the Shipyards District! Our guide, Sean, relayed the fascinating history of the area, and he paid attention to the details, arranging vegan and non-alcoholic options for my daughter, and vegetarian options for me. My highlights were the delicious (and unusual) Lemon Zucchini Pizza at North Point Brewing, and the glorious gin and tonic at Copperpenny Distilling. The portions were just right. I highly recommend the Sips and Bites Walking Tour, and our guide, Sean. He was friendly, funny and informative! Thank you!

Although we live in North Vancouver, we decided to book this tour to show our daughter — who was visiting from the UK — the emerging Shipyards Brewery District, an area we hadn’t explored much ourselves despite being locals. It turned out to be such a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon! While it would have been even more enjoyable on a sunny day, the minimal walking made the light rain more than bearable, and the places we visited were so welcoming that we didn’t mind getting a little wet. We were treated to a wonderful variety of food and drinks along the way, and we had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic people. Our guide, Sean, was both informative and fun, which really added to the experience. We highly recommend this tour to both locals and visitors—it’s a great way to discover the North Shore Brewery District and have a good time!

I was an unlikely guest on this tour, as a non-drinker (and a vegan too, just to make things more complicated)! Having done other Taste Vancouver tours, I knew it would be a fun experience, regardless — but I did not expect to be SO well accommodated. The non-alcoholic options at all stops were delicious and high quality; I felt just as pampered as the other guests! The vegan food was really great as well. (Sometimes one feels like an afterthought as a person with dietary restrictions on a food tour, but Taste Vancouver clearly thinks of *all* food lovers.) Our guide, Sean, was so knowledgeable and helpful, even providing guidance on other great restaurants in the area. He created a welcoming and friendly environment and curated a truly fantastic afternoon for us all. I would highly recommend taking this tour!

This tour offers visits to the newest additions to the Shipyards District and they really shine! The breweries and distilleries offer really great samplers and their atmospheres are unique and different enough that it makes traversing the (admittedly) industrial neighbourhood worth it! Sean is an amazing host/guide and this ~2hr tour is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and sample the latest offerings of the North Shore

It was fun to follow our guide Sean who took us to a cidery, distillery and Breweries where we sampled beer, wine and a delicious Gin cocktail! It was great to support these small businesses and we also met some of the owners! A fun walking tour learning more about the Shipyards District! Bonus- we met some interesting people in our tour group! Very fun!

A well thought out tour, with a nice variety of food to try. Kelsey was a fantastic guide. She laid out what we could expect ahead of time and mixed in some interesting sights and historical anecdotes as we made our way around The Shipyards. We all enjoyed the tour and were impressed with how Kelsey managed it.

The kind of guide that makes a place come alive in a way you can't just get by walking around. Food stops focused on local businesses and each one was unique, from carpaccio to fried chicken and donuts - this was a tasty tour!

What a wonderful afternoon to spend time with work colleagues right in our own back yard around the Lonsdale Quay! This is truly something for both tourists and locals alike! Trust me there will be lots in the tour as a local you didn't know and it will be fun to find out. Kelsey was full of historical facts and delivered them better than any history teacher you had to keep it interesting, fun and informative. The food and drink spots we stopped at were the icing on the cake! Delicious and perfectly timed throughout the afternoon.
