- Wanderer441604079240 contributionsBEST experience!!So much fun!!! I went solo but in our tour group there were a few families; best group of people! My group had all fitness levels and ages. Everyone said they'd do it again! The guides were knowlegable, patient, considerate, and worked great with all levels. I'm already planning my next snowshoeing tour!Written January 8, 2025
- Scenic387234246150 contributionsHighly RecommendThis snowshoe tour with Into The Wild was such a great experience! The hotel pick-up was super convenient, and everything felt well-organized from the start. The guide was awesome — sharing cool facts about the forest, winter survival (if caught in an emergency), and interesting tidbits about the Vancouver area. One of the highlights was sipping hot chocolate surrounded by the quiet, snowy woods — it felt like a little moment of magic. The whole trip was a perfect mix of adventure, learning, and just enjoying nature. Highly recommend it if you're looking for something fun and memorable to do in the winter!Written December 15, 2024
- love2levart0 contributionsAmazing adventureWe have travelled with Paul and James in Ireland and Sweden. Not enough words to describe their excellent planning and execution of outstanding days filled with adventure, beauty, delish food, excellent accommodation all delivered with such warmth and humour. We never want to say goodbye at the end of our week together and always look forward to our next adventure with them. 🙏🚲💝Written November 15, 2024
- J6740IDtomc0 contributionsA fantastic day in the mountains! This snowshoe tour with Into The Wild was absolutely stunning! Our guide, Paul was amazing – super knowledgeable and friendly, making sure we were all set for the day. Even though it was early winter conditions on the trails (as it is still only mid November), the higher we got up the mountain the deeper the snow got. The trail felt like stepping into a winter wonderland, with breathtaking mountain views and quiet, snow-covered forests all around. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, with plenty of time to soak in the scenery and take photos. The tour is great value for money and they also supplied hot chocolate and snack to keep us warm and full of energy. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get our of the city and rain to experience the magic of winter in Vancouver. I’ll be back for more summer adventures for sure!Written November 8, 2024

- hridley50 contributionsE-biking on Vancouver IslandMy husband and I have just completed a self guided 7 day e-bike tour of Vancouver Island organised specially for us by Paul. We couldn’t find a trip we wanted to do, so Paul planned one for us. We didn’t know what to expect before we started, but had an amazing time exploring a section of the island, staying in excellent accommodation. We especially liked Sooke, Brentwood Bay and Ganges on Salt Spring Island. The e-bikes supplied were great and Paul gave us plenty of pannier space to store all our things plus the additional essentials he supplied eg bear spray (which we didn’t need!), bike essentials and first aid items. The bikes were almost new and we had no issues at all with them. The cycle route was very interesting, mostly on bespoke cycle paths following really interesting trails and Paul and Arman provided us with door to door service to/from our hotel and ferries at the start and end of the trip. Thanks so much. Happy Days!!Written August 15, 2024
- Trek2773130 contributionsInto The Wild is a must do tourPaul and Armand could not be better guides. We spent 5 hours on a private bike tour around Vancouver hitting all the hot spots and our specific destination requests. Very personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend if you want a personally curated experience in a breathtaking city. Plan to return to do one of their multi day tours!Written June 4, 2024
- marthag560 contributionsSelf Guided Bike Tour Vancouver IslandThe perfect 4 day/3 night experience! We love self guided because there is so much choice. Paul put together an excellent itinerary (bike paths/rail trail most of the way), booked our hotels and provided excellent bikes and equipment (panniers, Ride with GPS phone and routes) and transportation to and from the train station in Vancouver to the ferry. Paul is an excellent communicator, suggesting interesting places to stop and restaurant options. Vancouver Island is beautiful and the people are so friendly. We'll be back as there is so much more to explore!Written May 17, 2024
- roseoC8296UV0 contributionsA bike trip from Vancouver to BanffOur group did an 8 day cycling trip from Vancouver to Banff. It was wonderful! Paul has an amazing ability to plan such great activities . We are not an easy bunch to please and have a wide range of abilities. He managed to plan rides that covered us all from the hard core cyclists to myself ( a beginner). The scenery is beautiful. In addition to biking we went hiking, kayaking and zip lining. I cant recommend Paul and his company enough. I liked it so much that I cant wait to schedule another trip.Written August 19, 2023
- piratepeteandpals0 contributionsFun family tripA great day from start to finish. The weather was iffy and Paul contacted us the night before asking if we wanted to rebook for another day which was great service, but as it was our last day in Vancouver we persisted. It was an early pick up from our hotel in the rain and the drive to the ferry terminal. We were shown how to use the ebike and navigation guide, then packed off with lots of instructions and spares for the bike (we didnt need any but it was worry free to know we were prepared). As the weather cleared we enjoyed the ferry ride over which is a beautiful trip in itself. On Vancouver Island the ride to Victoria is on a quiet and well marked trail. The ebikes meant for once I could keep up with husband and daughter. Enjoyed lunch by the water in Victoria before returning back. Return time was flexible, we just messaged when we were on the ferry. You could probably save a few $ putting the trip together yourself but for me the local knowledge was well worth it - we got lots of tips for things to do on the rest of our holiday plus the door to door service meant it was totally hassle free and we could just enjoy the day.Written August 19, 2023
- emia00 contributionsCycling Vancouver to Banff with Into the WildWe travelled with Into the Wild (Paul and Paul) for 9days from Vancouver to Banff. I cannot say enough about how fun, amazing, engaging, and flexible Into the Wild was for our family reunion of 8. We all had different interests and abilities. All of us walked away from the trip having had a great time meeting all our expectations - how did they do that? Paul (owner) made everything fun, was super clear about what to expect, and was great to plan with in advance. It was a wonderful trip and you will be lucky to book with them.Written July 30, 2023
- janetmA5342BN0 contributionsHighly recommend planning a great cycling adventure with Paul!I just recently came back from doing Paul’s 5 day cycling trip in the Okanagan. This is the 4th trip I have done with Paul. Why do I keep coming back?! Because of Paul’s effortless Irish charm. Not only is everything taken care of but Paul always seems to know the best places to eat and sleep. He makes everything fun. I would highly recommend doing any of Paul’s tours. I have done Vancouver Island, Whistler and Gulf Islands as well. And I can’t wait to plan my next adventure with him!!Written July 11, 2023

Although I've been going to school at UBC for 3 years now, i haven't seen too much outside of the city. Now of course i've been to Lynn Canyon, who hasn't, but learning SO much about the temperate rain forest, trees, and wild life was very interesting and eye opening. It's amazing how we can be surrounded by so much and know very little about it. We had a fantastic farm-to-table lunch after Lynn Canyon and went for a 10ish mile bike ride. WOW! I didn't even know this area/trails existed. So much beauty, yet very quite and peaceful.
The whole day was fantastic, from the Mercedes Shuttle pickup in Downtown, to learning about our forests, impeccable fresh lunch, joyous and refreshing bike ride by the farms and mountains, to the smooth ride back to Downtown with enjoyable tunes!
I highly recommend this experience to anyone, wether you're visiting in Vancouver or a local looking to get into some green spaces. Paul was a great guide!

The self guided tour was excellent. Paul picked us up from our hotel in downtown Vancouver and drove us to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. He set us up with the bikes (new well maintained e-bikes), gps maps (with backups and chargers), water, pannier bags, helmets, and card to buy return ticket. The recommended route was a great day trip ride. Almost entirely away from cars and on paved or gravel bike trails. The bicycle infrastructure on the island was great. We got lunch at the flying otter by the water and watched the float planes and seal. Everything went smoothly, and Paul is a caring and knowledgeable host. He did his best to make the day a success. Highly recommend.

If you are looking to get an outdoor adventure during your stay in Vancouver, I highly recommend Paul and his company, Into the Wild. Paul is very personable and congenial. He is also very knowledgeable regarding the history of the area and nature. We were lucky enough to spot a black bear on the bike ride. The hike was very nice and scenic. Paul recommend an excellent hike for my son and I, which we did the following day. Lunch at Hopcott Farms was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to get an enjoyable outdoor experience while in Vancouver.

This tour is a must while staying in Vancouver. It’s a great way to get out of the city and into nature for a day! We traveled with family, 3 adults and 2 kids, (aged 12 and 10). Paul, our guide was amazing with all age groups. He was knowledgeable and attentive and throughout the tour he found time to interact with each member individually. The scenery was stunning. So many excellent photo ops and instagramable moments. We even had 2 separate bear sightings in the wild which was just the cherry on top of an already amazing day. Lunch was included at a lovely farm to table restaurant. Bikes were in excellent condition. Paul got a puncture along the way and had it fixed and back on track in about 10 minutes. He used it as a teachable moment for my kids, as they learned how to fix a punctured tire! Overall an amazing experience for our family. 10/10 recommend Paul and Into the Wild Tours!
Tips: if the weather is appropriate, there’s an opportunity to jump in a beautiful fresh water mountain creek. Bring a bathing suit and towel! Also, if you can, bring your guide some Jelly Tots!

This was a fun, physical and friendly day out. Paul was an exceptional guide who from the very beginning (when we reserved our date) showed dedication and care. He was easy to communicate with and helped us feel at ease as he coordinated our pickup time and place after disembarking from the ship. On the tour Paul took us to local, non commercial areas to enjoy and learn about, as well as a tasty lunch at a 'farm'. It was a great way to spend the day after our cruise.

An amazing day spent discovering the surrounds of Vancouver. Our guided hike through the canyon was so beautiful with the added bonus of interesting facts and stories from Paul’s extensive knowledge and experience. Riding through the blueberry farms was definitely a highlight. Thank you Paul for such an incredibly enjoyable day.

If you want something other then "Stanley Park" and "Capilano Suspension Bridge" and you are active, this is the trip for you! NB: steep stairs!!! Leave the car behind and get chauffeured in a luxurious van. Paul is a great communicator and incredibly knowledgeable regarding the area and the local culture. I would not have found these hidden gems on my own. Excellent bikes that are included. We lucked out at the local market as they were celebrating a 50th anniversary. Either way, great locales and excellent food!

An excellent day trip. Paul is so friendly and knowledgable - and his good company enhanced the tour. We had a stunning forest walk in the morning, a delicious lunch stop and then a very pretty and easy cycle ride in the afternoon. A thoroughly enjoyable day. I would recommend it to anyone.
