About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- sarahwE5620II0 contributionsA great way to spend the morningWe had such a great time on the water. Our captain was very informative and shared some great information about the wildlife and the city of Vancouver BC. It was a blast. The ride in the boat was one of the smoothest I’ve ever had!Written November 11, 2024
- Z7252VEdaniellek0 contributionsFun Boat Ride with Seal Sightings! We had such a great experience on this tour! The full body wetsuits were super warm and the boat ride was relaxing with some great views. Even on a rainy Vancouver day. Dani was our tour guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable and funny! We got to see a colony of seals on the tour. Would highly recommend to any international traveler!Written November 10, 2024
- Explorer217579351390 contributionsGot bacterial skin infection from wetsuitAfter the excursion it was noted that red bumps became present in the areas that began to get itchy while wearing the wetsuit. They developed into a bacterial skin infection which has traveled across the body and has gotten worse. The excursion itself was fun, but the cleaning of the wetsuits at the end was up to the people who used them. Likely, whomever used the wetsuit before didn't properly clean it or skipped it altogether. Considering the skin infection and the fact people openly pee on them that's a gross thought. Not really worth spending money to get an infection which seems to be growing immune and persist through topical treatments imo.Written October 10, 2024
- Travellernearby0 contributionsWonderful trip with skipper GregGreg was the best skipper and guide we could have wanted. Enthousiastically and clear pointing out many interesting details about wildlife and history in the area that you will not easily find online. Very knowledgeable. Took the time to show the interesting things to all sides of the boat. Thanks Greg for all the extra's. For me personally I could miss the music on most of the speedy miles, but fair to say it also provided fun and energy. In general a stunningly beautiful trip, well on time, clearly informed, also about safety, a fast and rather comfortable boat/zodiac, good suits provided. Recommend it.Written October 6, 2024
- Camper686105725200 contributionsGreat and memorableAmy is super nice and an expertise in sea, sea animals and surrounding environment. We are happy to join her tour. It was a great experience and really recommend the tour! Thank you!Written October 3, 2024
- amykV3125KV0 contributionsI want to do this again! This tour was so much fun! The tour guide was very knowledgeable, but I love that he also gave us a few zooms up close around the tankers out on the water and did a few donuts on the water (wide circles...nothing that would make you sea sick). We saw so many seals! I wasn't ready for the tour to end and very much want to do it again! The views are amazing, the animals are adorable, and the ride was a blast!Written October 1, 2024
- paulstubud0 contributionsFabulous tripFantastic trip and Marco was a great guide/host. This is not just a fast boat trip to Bowen Island for dinner and back but a really informative tour on the way of various sights and history of Vancouver. Marco got a call on the way that whales were in the area so he made a quick detour and we saw whales actually jump out of the water - amazing experience. The food was great too. Highly recommended.Written September 19, 2024
- Barbara L0 contributionsBoat tripI feel like the boat ride could have been shorter. I would have liked to have not gone as far and had more time on Bowen Island. On the plus side, our captain/guide , Paul, was very friendly and knowledgeable.Written September 9, 2024
- Hindy10 contributionsAmazing City and Seal Tour with Captain JackWe had an incredible speed boat tour with Captain Jack on the Vancouver City and Seals Scenic Boat Tour that we booked via Vancouver Water Adventures. Captain Jack gave us some great history of the area, got up and close to the seals and saw other marine life such as starfish and even a jelly fish. It was the perfect amount of time in the water and would definitely book with this company again. We highly recommend this tour and this company.Written September 3, 2024
- Go042213122240 contributionsJet ski private tour- worth it!Three of us did the sea-doo private two hour tour with Justin and Anya. It was brilliant & they made it so fun. Lots of adrenaline & waves, a dip in Howe Sound & great info about the area & wildlife too. Highly recommend and will definitely go again! Brilliant!Written August 25, 2024
- BrookeLMorgan0 contributionsOcean seadoo tourWe had a wonderful seadoo tour with Chrissie. She clearly loves what she does and had a great respect for the city and its waters. We saw porpoises and seals on the tour and caught some amazing views of Vancouver, Howe sound and the islands from a unique perspective on the waves. Seeing the Vancouver city scape from the ocean was just awesome. The machines are high quality and clearly looked after, we had great fun zooming along and felt safe at all times. Thank you VWA and Chrissie for a super morning!!Written August 21, 2024

My mom wanted to get together for my birthday but I didn't want to do the usual dinner. Since I know the tourism industry continues to be an industry that isn't bouncing back quickly since the pandemic hit, I thought it would be nice to do a tour in our own town. A quick Google search brought me to a couple of pages of great tour ideas but since I didn't want to book through an agency, I went right to Vancouver Water Adventure's website (and saved a few dollars). I booked the Granite Falls tour for me, my mom and my brother, a day in advance and we were able to get spots without any issues.
Simon and Greg were our guides for the afternoon and they were fantastic. Fun and knowledgeable, they took us on a great ride up the inlet to see some spectacular views - some seas, jellyfish and cormorants. No eagles, unfortunately, but it was still a great time. The donuts were fun too (and not the Lee's kind).
I do recommend sunscreen if you're not going to wear the suit (you have the option to wear your own jacket and a life vest if you don't want to wear the suit). I decided to wear the suit halfway done up and leave my arms bare, wearing only a sleeveless shirt, and I'm not sure that was the best of my ideas of the day.
Book this tour directly through Vancouver Water Adventures (a family-owned company), bring your cameras and sunscreen, and enjoy a three hour tour of your backyard. I learned a few things!

Amy was a great tour guide, she kept it very informative and fun t the same time! She would drive and make donuts in the water once in a while and her excitement when telling us about different history pieces or sea creatures we found in the way was ver contagious.
As a new local, I had a lot of fun and loved the tour takes you all the way past Deep Cove and the Indian Arm. Highly recommend this activity for any visitor in Vancouver especially when there’s good weather like we luckily had this time!

My daughter and I went out with a quiet group today lead by Captain Paul. We’ve had a lot of water tours and excursions with leads but nothing like this, Captain Paul was born for this, he didn’t just point things out, he knew the most wild, interesting facts about every little thing and if it was something nobody knows for sure, he tells you the theory behind it and whether or not he believes it. My daughter is early 20’s and had an absolute blast. Captain Paul was also very funny, in what I call a ‘mom joke’ kind of way, which was great. The girls in the office were super helpful and friendly as well. We walked out into Granville island after the 3 hour tour and recommended this particular tour to people we met from across Canada. You won’t be disappointed, there’s a couple amazing surprises and you’ll learn alot of very cool stuff. Please ladies, tie your hair up tight, it’s windy and wild! 10/10!!

This was y first experience with them. The tour started on time, the boat was exactly what you see in the pictures. It was big and comfortable. I particularly appreciate the shock absorbers around the boat, they made it very stable and with much less turbulence than I had previously experienced with other boats. Our tour guide was Simon, he was very friendly, very good sense of humour and very knowledgeable. Really appreciated that he made a stop at various places and provided very interesting info. He was also very skillful at riding the boat which made everyone feel safe.
While we did stop at granite falls we were not allowed to get off the boat. I would have liked for us to get off the boat, and maybe spend 10-15 minutes at the falls, get our feet wet, have a snack and then get back on the boat.

We had an amazing three hour tour with our captain, Jules, who expertly navigated our group from False Creek into the Burrard Inlet where she shared stories about Siwash Rock and Stanley Park. From there we headed north under Lions Gate Bridge to Deep Cove, The Indian Arm, Granite Falls and Silver Falls. Along the way Jules provided a great deal of information about each stop and even found time to throw in a couple of zodiac doughnuts along the way. Excellent time!

I got this trip for my son’s 30th birthday. We live in Vancouver and I wanted to do something different. Our tour guides were respectful, communicated well and created a wonderful tour! They were also open to and respectful to new information and allowed the clients to add their knowledge.

Simon, our guide was excellent! He gave us information about the weather, mass of land and water areas we covered. On the trip we saw seals, dolphins, moon jelly fish, a bald eagle and of course the 2 falls. We went in early October as they had a late summer and the weather was perfect. Simon made it fun by maneuvering some of the turns into doughnuts and speeding along the long stretches of water. We had a teenager along with us and even he enjoyed the trip.

This is my first time going with Water Adventures, and I would recommend them to anyone new to the area as a grand introductory, or as a resident, a very scenic adventure. You get everything you ask for and you get to enjoy warm sunlight, splashing waves and high speeds to get the wind in your hair. Its truly a nice thing to do on a day off or an add-on to your vacation in beautiful British Columbia.

The tour was a good way to see Vancouver from the water and the views are beautiful. Our captain, Paul, provided a lot of information about what we were seeing and was obviously experienced at his job. Be aware the waterfalls may not be flowing at their peak in early Fall. Everyone at Vancouver Water Adventures was friendly and helpful. Overall a good value.

Me & my partner went on this tour Sun 18th July 2021. We would highly recommend this tour. All the staff were well trained in making sure everyone filled out the liability forms etc. Simon was our tour guide, he was fantastic, he made the tour interesting and you could hear him very well.. Me & my partner learnt alot about boats, history and the scenery was amazing. I would recommend you wear the suits if the weather is chilly.

We’re booked next month and are so excited. The only real question we have is footwear recommendation. Do we just plan on whatever we wear being wet at the end or are there specific shoes we could wear that would be preferable.
