A must do experience in town
Special highlight to our amazing guide Daniel, who was super attentive and supportive throughout the tour. It was a super interesting experience—we learned a lot about Vancouver and enjoyed some tasty beers along the way.

      Great local knowledge
Fran was amazing at the tour. Such great local knowledge on the artists and the history behind the murals. She gave great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Vancouver as well. A fab tour!

Good time coffee and mural tour
The trip was a great experience with my partner and a pair of friends. The small group allowed us to naturally connect with the other people and the tour guide. The art was a hidden gem of Vancouver I had overlooked in my time there and the guide was the right balance of knowledgable and patient.

      Awesome bike tour of Vancouver
Had a lovely time on our 4 hour bike tour of Vancouver. Erica was a perfect guide…friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We had a larger tour of 20 people and she took great care of us. Highly recommend. Great way to see the city.

      Great way to see Vancouver!
What a great way to see Vancouver in a few hours. Cameron our guide was very informative and cycled at our pace. We didn’t hire the e bikes as the terrain was mostly flat, there was one steep section where I got out and pushed the bike but that was ok too! Great tour, would highly recommend.

      Don't miss it!!!
It was a fantastic experience with a small group of great people. Amazing, what's all hidden behind the more famous part of the Olympic Village. Ondrej gave us a wonderful impression about the combination of numerous amazing murals and the art of handcrafted beers made the tour indeed something special. My personal favorite place of the tour was the Faculty Brewing Co. since they provide the recepies of all their offered beers (where all we tasted were outstanding) on their web page. Perfect for a hobby brewer like me 😅

      Informative and fun
Our tour guide was Ondrej, and he did an excellent job. Vancouver is a walkable city, and along the way we learned a lot about its history and civic planning (which is uniquely appealing). Recommend using this Toonie tour,

The best 4-Hour tour covering all the spots you want to see
If you're looking for a 4 Hour bike tour, this is the one you want. The other option I saw stopped at half as many places and had long breaks at the stops. This tour covered all the areas I wanted to see and then some, and the pace was relaxed and easy. The only hills are overpasses over other roads as almost the whole route follows the waterfront. Our guide was good. This is not the tour for you if you want an e-bike, the e-bike up charge is $84 which is crazy considering the other company's 4 hour ebike tour is only $30 more than this one. But you really don't need an Ebike , my wife was nervous but had no problem at all.

      Great tour
It's a great way to get to know a different side of Vancouver. Having some beer and getting to know fellow travelers is also a plus. I loved it. Ondrej did a great job as a guide. I highly recommend this tour.

10 out of 10. Daniel was a great guide. I loved it. Pro tip: Go for the e-bikes if you're at the end of your visit here or don't want to get too tired.

Fran really knew her subject and was very entertaining as well as informative. She worked hard as we were a big group and she made sure we could hear her at all times, despite traffic etc. She answered questions well and was generally excellent.

As we were such a big group, the introductions of everybody in the tour at the beginning took too long and could have been cut short. Also the suggested $25 per person was awkward as we thought it was a free walking tour and that the tip was up to us. Having said all that, we would recommend this walking tour, especially if you are lucky enough to have Fran.

Our tour guide Andrew did a great job of guiding us through the city landmarks giving us their potted history and some very entertaining stories. His enthusiasm and pride in Vancouver and Canada, in general, was laudable and he had plenty of time for questions after the tour was finished. His advice and tips assisted us planning our remaining time in the City and as such we would highly recommend taking this tour at the start of your city stay.

Highly recommend these guys. Our guide, Andrew was both knowledgeable and engaging with his audience and it made for a very interesting and enjoyable tour. If you want to learn a bit about the great city of Vancouver, book a tour with Toonie, you won't regret it.

I’m a frequent traveler and so used to walking tours and it’s not necessary to mention 3 times that you expect 30 dollars per person (yes, three times).
The guide has a terrible Georgia-Texan accent and doesn’t even say man but “fella” and “folks”, always. She did not connect with the group at all and the information provided about the city was not remotely interesting. We spent 25 minutes at the library and 20 with the story about a runner outside the arena. There is much more interesting information about Vancouver than what she was capable to show.
So disappointed with the guide and the tour. Do not recommend it at all.

Easy walk with interesting history. Unfortunately, our guide Fran was too soft spoken for the size of the group and the background noise. She should invest in a personal speaker and be more aware of the surroundings. At one point she stopped next to a loud street guitar player to talk instead of crossing the street to the opposite corner where it would have been quieter.

I recently took a walking tour in Vancouver, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our guide, a young man named Ridwaan, led us through the city's vibrant streets with enthusiasm and expertise. The tour was exceptionally well-organized and educational.

Ridwaan consistently had fascinating facts to share about the buildings and their stories—details you wouldn’t easily find on your own. His knowledge and passion for the city's history were evident in every story he told, making the tour both engaging and entertaining.

I highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Vancouver. Ridwaan’s ability to engage with the crowd and narrate the city's history made this an unforgettable experience.

We will pass on your glowing review to Ridwaan, and I hope you join us again in Calgary, Victoria or Toronto in the future for more unforgettable tours!

What a fun way to get to know Vancouver! This walking tour was just over 3 hours with our guide who is originally from Germany (I can't remember her name!). She was great in showing us the city and showing us photos of historical things and people in her handy binder. The pace was pleasant and easy as we started from Canada Place and made our way through downtown to Terry Fox Plaza to the edge of Chinatown then to Gastown. The tour was engaging and informative giving us newbie visitors the lay of the land plus our guide sent us some restaurants and places to visit to enhance our experience in Vancouver. Our guide did a great job of balancing a variety of ages, countries, etc.

We just did the three hour walking tour with Fran, and it was fantastic! She was informative, interesting, and was great in getting people to interact with each other from the very beginning. We would highly recommend for people to do the tour, especially when first getting to Vancouver as she will then give you plenty of suggestions of where to go, eat, see, and do!

We’ve done these kinds of tours all over the world and unfortunately this one didn’t seem authentic or stack up to some of the great ones we’ve done in other countries. Our guide didn’t grow up in Vancouver which made it seem like she was just reading the script instead of giving us the insights of a local, it was difficult to hear throughout the tour and people from the group were consistently left at lights despite being told we would wait for the whole group before crossing streets. It was difficult to follow, the guide often stopped in loud environments and overall underwhelming.

We were led by Daniel, there were about 15 in our group. He made himself heard nice and loud, we never struggled to hear him. The meeting instructions were clear and he was easy to find at Canada Place with his red umbrella. We were lucky to have nice weather, but wear sun cream if so! Stopped off at just the right amount of places to bring the tour to a nice 3 hours. Daniel had lots of knowledge about the sites such as The Marine Building (he took us in, we would never had gone in by ourselves) and Christ Church Cathedral (where someone else gave us a 10 minute talk about the church, though I’m not sure if this was part of the Toonie Tour or just the reverend taking advantage of a big group all walking in at the same time!) Time for a comfort break halfway through, about 15 minutes. Other highlights were the football stadium, the public library and Gastown. Much better than an impersonal bus tour in my opinion as you have time to chat and ask questions. At the end Daniel had even prepared a QR code with recommendations for eating and drinking. Nice prep!
