Coffee, art, walking - what's not to like!
A fascinating walk around a less well-known area of Vancouver. Andrew is a brilliant guide; knowledgeable, friendly, informative and fun.

Great way to see parts of Vancouver! Thanks Fran!
Fran was such a great tour guide! We really enjoyed the biking and seeing the various locations throughout Vancouver. The bike ride was not strenuous but still fun for our group. The information shared by Fran was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour!!

      Worth it.
Set up this tour via Viator.com and it was just what we wanted... someone to walk us around town and point out information, history, and sites that we wouldn't know on our own and provide some places to shop, eat, and see while we were in town. Its at your own pace so you can rest when you want and catch up with the group later if necessary. Learned quite a bit about Vancouver and visited areas we wouldn't have found on our own. Would recommend.

Toonie Tours - Stanley Park and Seawall bike tour
We had a fabulous sunny day for our family bike ride with our two grown up sons. The bikes were very well maintained and Andrew was a great guide. There was very little on road cycling and I felt very safe, in fact the main challenges came from other cycling enthusiasts trying to overtake you. The ride was not at all challenging as it is almost exclusively on the flat with only one short steep section which all but one of our group got off for and pushed. You get to experience lots of different habitats including a very peaceful lake a wooded section. Although it is a three hour trip you probably only cycle for about two hours as you stop for a breaker the totem poles and then stop several times whilst the guide tells you about other landmarks. I thought the tour was a fantastic way to see beautiful Stanley Harbour and to also learn about the history of the area - go for it!

100% recommend this fantastic cycle tour
After a rocky start , we set off with the amazing guide Andrew . He was attentive , making sure our bikes , helmets were ok . The history we heard about was absolutely fascinating. We both learnt so much , along with old photos. We loved all the areas we went to and later on we returned to English beach . Andrew was very helpful when I had a little accident. First aid kit was used , checking i was ok before starting again . 100% recommend. Thank you Andrew for a super afternoon

Excellent introductory walk for the Downtown Vancouver area
We went on the 3 hour walking tour and it was excellent. The guide, Sarah, was very informative and knowledgeable - she also went out of her way to help us with bus routes for other places to visit (looking up timetables for us). The tour gives you a good overall view of the downtown area with a good variety of places.

      Free walking tour of Vancouver
We did the English- free walking tour of Vancouver with Roberto. Our guide was very informative and happy to answer any questions. We enjoyed the casual pace and learnt a lot about the city and saw some amazing buildings I would have not noticed if not on a tour. Would definitely recommend this tour and thanks Roberto.

      So much to learn!
This trip was extremely informative, and we learned so much about the history of Vancouver. I particularly appreciated that our tour guide started with the land acknowledgment, and included indigenous history as an important part of the information she shared.

Great free walking tour of Toronto
The walking tour of Toronto with Toonie Tours was great. Ally was an excellent guide. Her local knowledge was great and she gave us a great insight into Toronto. We walked into places one would be slow to go to as a tourist. The concept of public access to private spaces was new to me and it was great to learn a bit about it. Don't miss this wonderful tour.

Highlights of the park in the fresh air!
A fantastic way to see Stanley Park in all its glory! Cycling through the park we saw the Lost and Beaver Lake plus the stories behind them. The sea wall is spectacular as are the totem poles! We went through a little gap and onto trails leading through, what we described as an ‘enchanted forest’ and could’ve been easily missed if we didn’t have our fabulous guide. Even on the way to the park we stopped off at some historic houses and learnt their background. Highly recommend this tour for anybody!!! Loved it!

DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR! 🥳
I had an excellent afternoon being shown around Downtown Vancouver by Fran. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny and despite only having 4 people turn up for the tour due to the rain; she was in great spirit. Our tour even lasted 4 and a half hours as we kept stopping so much to talk and ask questions. She really couldn’t have been anymore amazing! Whatever you do, DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR when visiting Vancouver; I can’t stress this enough

Andrew was our tour guide and he was fantastic, full of energy and knowledge and although he comes from Ontario, he's really passionate about Vancouver and gave us the best tips.
He made us see Vancouver from another perspective, told us stories, parts of the Canadian history and anecdotes in a very dynamic way and he was extremely approachable.
I definitely recommend to take part on this tour so not to miss hidden gems of the city

Easy walk with interesting history. Unfortunately, our guide Fran was too soft spoken for the size of the group and the background noise. She should invest in a personal speaker and be more aware of the surroundings. At one point she stopped next to a loud street guitar player to talk instead of crossing the street to the opposite corner where it would have been quieter.

This was SUCH an incredible experience and I feel so lucky that it's tip based and was available during our time in Vancouver. We saw many other tours charging upwards of $50-$75 for the same thing. Andrew, our guide, was fantastic! He was so enthusiastic, had such a great demeanor the entire time, and was very good at making strangers feel like family. WOULD 100% RECOMMEND!!!

Some numbers: It's recommended that you pay ~$25/pp but not required. This tour was 3 hours long and took us all of the city, so well worth it. We had about 15 people in our group but it wasn't a big deal.

We’ve done these kinds of tours all over the world and unfortunately this one didn’t seem authentic or stack up to some of the great ones we’ve done in other countries. Our guide didn’t grow up in Vancouver which made it seem like she was just reading the script instead of giving us the insights of a local, it was difficult to hear throughout the tour and people from the group were consistently left at lights despite being told we would wait for the whole group before crossing streets. It was difficult to follow, the guide often stopped in loud environments and overall underwhelming.

We have been on many tips-based walking tours all over the world. This was similarly structured and ranks high! Our tour guide, Jamila, provided a great overview of the city with fun specificity on architecture and movies. As a librarian, I especially enjoyed the bio break at the library which is design to resemble the Roman Colosseum.

I really enjoyed this walking tour of downtown Vancouver. Andrew was an excellent guide, good knowledge of the city, very personable, and enthusiastic without being over the top. He also managed a reasonably large group very well, always able to hear him and kept the group moving at just the right pace. Definitely recommended.

Cameron made our walking tour very interesting and informative with his extensive knowledge and great stories about Downtown Vancouver. The 3 hours passed very quickly and we visited locations that we would have normally bypassed.
We would highly recommend you add this into your itinerary for visiting Vancouver.

We enjoyed the tour very much. Unfortunately, the tour guide was about 20 minutes late due to a family emergency. We had no notice and were afraid we had missed the tour or gone to the wrong spot. The volunteers that are stationed on the plaza were helpful though and told us what was going on. The guide also seemed distracted throughout the tour which was understandable. It did not help that several people decided they would join the tour at the last minute so she spent quite a bit of time registering them and our group ended up being quite large. She made a valiant effort though and the tour was still good.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the initial delay due to a family emergency, and we appreciate your understanding. Despite the distraction and the last-minute additions to the group, we're pleased that you enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide for the 3-hour private walking tour turned out to be one of the co-founders of Toonie Tours so he was not only very well versed in the history and culture of Vancouver but also attuned to the needs and interests of the clients. And he was more than willing to hear about the issues we had with their company name! We went virtually everywhere in central Vancouver, stopping as needed to grab a Coke or rest. Well worth the money we paid for the two of us.
