Our crew was excellent! Lots of information about all the whales! Very caring for the tourists. Next time I’ll have cash to tip them. We saw 7 humpbacks and 10 killer whales.

This was my third attempt to whale watch in my trip to Vancouver Island. Ferry didn't run for my first booking, so I missed it. The second tour was canceled. But the third time was a charm. I am so glad that I had this experience today. Our captain and guide was Tyson, and he was amazing. The Zodiac was a lot of fun, and we must have seen at least 6 humpback whales. We also saw many sea lions and harbor seals, as well as birds galore. I share my favorite picture from this trip. I highly recommend this company and Tyson!

Had an exceptional afternoon on the water yesterday with the fabulous Captain Ian, Captain Yves, and Naturalist Caitlyn! We've searched for whales and other marine wildlife with this company many times over the years, and it is never a disappointment. So well organized and excellent customer service! Their vessels are comfortable and safe . . . second to none. We were on the Marauder IV and there are plenty of places for excellent viewing on the vessel. Take your pick of top, inside, front, or back. Safety is always uppermost in the crew's minds and we felt well looked-after. Yesterday, we had fantastic sightings of three different groups of humpbacks, and an amazing time at Race Rocks viewing hundreds of sea lions. At all times, Captain Ian maneuvered the vessel safely so that we had the best views while being respectful of the wildlife. We were kept very well informed by Yves and Caitlyn with respect to what we were seeing without disturbing our viewing. We typically have done our whale-watching in the summer months. This Fall trip was outstanding, exhilarating, and exciting!

Although I wasn’t able to take a trip with Spring Tide I want to commend Captain Ian and the office staff for excellent customer service. There was a bit of a snafu with my booking which was handled very efficiently and with good humour. I will definitely book with them again!

The staff were all kind, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic.They made our trip and we will remember our experience for a lifetime . Very well run and everyone was masked and socially distanced . We saw at least 25 whales humpbacks and orcas and it was a thrilling experience . We will take this tour again.

Group of 5 friends who made last minute decision to do a Whale watching trip, after thinking all were closed for the season. Best decision we made, Captain Ian was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and could hear him conversing with other boats to heighten our chances of seeing wildlife. We were very lucky to spend ages with 2 Humpback Whales, along with seeing a further Whale in the not to distance. We loved seeing the different seals around the lighthouse, along with some Eagles. A real bonus of seeing an Elephant Seal! Obviously no guarantee to see Wildlife, but would recommend to others as a great trip.

Couldn't recommend this tour more! Even though it was late in the season we saw humpbacks really close to the boat as well as seals, sea lions, bald eagles and lots of other interesting birds. Captain Ian was so welcoming and knowledgeable, made the whole trip really fun! 100% must do of you visit Victoria.

We left Victoria Harbour at about 1pm with Springtide. Captain Ian was incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding area and kept the experience fun. Although it was late in the season and there were very few boats out we got the amazing opportunity to watch four seperate Humpback Whales feeding and travelling in a pack. We then travelled to Race Rock and got really lucky spotting an Elephant Seal, which was unexpected for that time of year. There was also a good show put on by Sea Lions, Seals and a few Bald Eagles, which really rounded out the whole experience within the amazing backdrop of the Salish Sea. As far as first experiences go I was incredibly satisfied with this trip and was amazed to learn that a portion of their profits go back to environmental awareness and conservation programs. This was an amazing experience with an amazing guide. I was definitely pumped that they were still doing tours in November and I got a deal from my hostel. I have always wanted to see Orcas and was thrilled to get the chance. Booking was easy and the staff was beyond helpful and gave clear and concise information, dress very warm, giving the right expectations, etc. Ian was our Captain and guide. He was great and took his time with us, so we were all comfortable. He said that there were no guarantees but that he had good information on where we could find a pod of Orca, and we found them!! It was amazing to see. Ian got respectfully close and told us specific information about that family. He also took pictures too, phones really don’t do the trick. Overall, very professional and welcoming tour. I would definitely recommend. Thanks Ian!!

Who knew Orcas lived so long, thanks for the great marine lesson on Orcas Captain Ian Robert's. Also, thank you for keeping us safe on the water. Erin, thank you for the friendly phone conversations and reminders that our boat was leaving soon. :-) Great bunch of people and we were lucky enough to see a pod of 4 Orcas. The experience was unforgettable. Highly recommended!!!

What an amazing experience! Because it was the low season in terms of tourists, we had the zodiac to ourselves! We did, however, need at least 4 people to continue the tour. Under the guidance of our experienced captain Ian, Heather (our 2nd guide) sailed us right into an area where we were surrounded by no fewer than 15 humpback whales who were 'lunge partying'. Together they gave us an unforgettable trip on the water! They could explain everything about what we saw and where we were going: from the type of sea lions to the ecosystem of water, they knew it all. On the day itself it was cold, but the visibility was super clear. However, the whales come to eat precisely during this period, because the somewhat lower temperatures ensure more nutrition in the water. Also the contact with the company through Gabriella was super easy and all information about our reservation was clear. We are more than satisfied with our experience and would recommend Springtide to everyone!

The captain took just three of us out in the zodiac despite the rain. He was very knowledgeable and an amazing guide. It was a truly wonderful experience.

We booked 2 hours before and having a doubt that will we see any whale in this season. Turn out, we see a group of whale popping up and show their tails. The best is when a humpback whale hit the water with its tail at least 5 times and have a little flip over to show its skills. What a views. The tour brought us to many other wildlife too. The best.

A sunny October day. We were not too sure to do a trip that late in the year. However, turned out to be one of the best sightings we've ever seen. We saw a lot of different wildlife. The most stunning thing was a humpback whale playing qith its little one flopping and splashing around in a group of at least 8 whales. What a display. Our skipper Ian was very knowledgeable. Funny guy. Best way to finish our year.

had a great time we saw one of the humpback whales gave a good view or two of its tail, then we rushed out into the rain and swells to follow a pod of moms and cubs. both me and my wife had a pretty great time.
