Amazing Whale Watching Experience!
Oct. 2021 • Solo
I had an amazing time on the morning whale and wildlife tour on Oct 23rd with Eagle Wing Tours! We saw so many humpbacks and a few orcas, as well as some bald eagles and lots of seals and sea lions. It was such a successful day!

The staff were all lovely and knowledgeable, especially Lili! Lili shared some great facts about the whales and conservation. It was great to see the guides getting as excited as us guests to see the whales.

This tour is definitely worth it! It is wonderful to see the whales out in the wild and I loved that a portion of the ticket price went towards suppprting the southern resident orcas and marine conservation in the Salish Sea.

Covid protocol was also followed on the boat and everything was very clean which made me feel comfortable and safe.

I'd definitely go on another tour with Eagle Wing Tours when I'm next in Victoria!

Amazing family day, AMAZING crew.
Oct. 2021 • Family
First off, this trip was AMAZING. At one point our boat was surrounded by a group of humpback whales. There were so many We didn’t know where to look first. We also saw two bald eagles, at least five hundred seals, and to our surprise, orca whales also. Our crew went above and beyond, especially Lilly who attended to my 7 year old daughter who was very seasick and a bit scared. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone. It was one of the best things we’ve done as a family. Thank you guys for an awesome day on the water!!

Best Whale watching tour
This was an amazing day. Right from the start to the end. Very professional and all covid protocols were enforced. Felt very safe walking around the boat. The staff were amazing in explaining everything about marine biology. The whales we saw today was beyond our expectations. Even the tour guides said it was one of the best days they have had In A long time. Thank you captain Peter for finding such great whale watching spots. And Brett, Shaun and Lila your knowledge is astounding, all questions were answered. Lila is great at her job and you can see that she loves her job so much. We will be back

Great tour, great staff!
Oct. 2021 • Couples
This was one of the best whale watching tours we have been on. We had my 90 year old mother with us who was in a wheelchair to get to and on the boat. The staff were amazing and made sure she was taken care of and safe. They assisted when necessary getting her up to see the whales. The staff were very knowledgeable and spent time with everyone. The boat was very clean and comfortable. Thank you everyone you made an amazing memory for my mum.

Whale Watching at its best!
Oct. 2021 • Friends
This was by far the best excursion I have ever experienced. The staff and crew were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to see Humpback whales, Orcas, as well as several varieties of seals. They had sufficient crew on board to provide all the groups of people on-board with information on the sea creatures we encountered, as well as answer any questions.
The crew were also very aware of everyone on board and were able to identify any problems anyone might have had.
You could tell that all crew members were very passionate about their work, which made the experience so rewarding.

Few words outside of "wow"! Such an amazing experience and the crew made it was it was. They were incredibly professional and communicative, along with being thorough in ensuring we saw everything we could and knowledgeable in their teaching. We also had a number of seasick members aboard and Lili, the crew member assisting them, was compassionate and ensured everyone was cared for. While we didn't of course get to see much of Jeff while he was up top, Lili, Derek, and Peter were incredibly guides and made the experience even more worthwhile. We were also incredibly lucky to see so much while out there, so that certainly is a plus! My only comment would be that the registration/check-in process was a bit confusing.

Good morning BumbleBri123456, Thank you for your kind words about our team! It sounds like a real west coast experience, which can sometimes be difficult for certain passengers who do not have their sea legs, but we are all well versed in helping when this is the case. Every day is different out on the Salish Sea, from mirror calm to a wild west coast ride! You had a fabulous team to act as your guides and teach you all about our big blue backyard. We would love to hear more detail about the check-in process and any suggestions you may have — please feel free to message us privately over Trip Advisor or alternately contact us via social media or our main email. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you again for taking the time to review your tour. We hope to see you again soon! All the best, Mika, Operations Manager

Epic + beautiful experience.
Oct. 2021 • Solo
I went on the semi covered boat, which was a nice way to balance out the wind & cold part, unlike the fully open boats there’s somewhere to chill & warm up….also settle the belly if your sea legs give out, lol.

The views were surreal. We saw several humpback pairs & possibly momma’s with kids. Also different kinds of seals 🦭✨by the light house. Just can’t say enough about how moving it was to be somewhere so beautiful.

The staff were wonderful, chatty, educational, clearly love what they do. They’ll also genuinely look out for people that don’t feel well. Ginger candy party.

Thank you for a wonderful experience. I went solo & felt completely safe, comfortable, & had a great time. Would recommend especially since they actually contribute as a company to conservation efforts, that’s why I picked them initially. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✌️

Amazing experience, tons of wildlife
We loved the entire experience. Nice big, stable boat that you can spend the whole ride out on the deck. We saw a whole pile of orcas, apparently a few families having a “tea party.” We stayed a respectful distance and enjoyed watching them without disturbing them. Then we also saw humpback whales, sea lions, seals and even a sea otter. The naturalists were informative and they have two for both ends of the boat which was nice. They stayed a good amount of time at each animal. definitely exceeded expectations. Though we were surprised how many people stayed inside the whole time. They missed all the fun on the waves at the front and several seals that we passed. Wed recommend layering up and staying outside.

Good morning CharErinazard, Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review. Great advice to dress warmly — it is always cold out on the water! What luck that you were able to experience a large group of Bigg's (aka Transient) killer whales together. It's always so exciting when we see that! And humpback whales as well... it sounds like an amazing day on the water. We appreciate your feedback, and we invite you to join us again the next time you're in Victoria!
