About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Matthias_Silke0 contributionsWonderful day kayaking trip from Uculuet in Broken GroupWe did the one day tour in the Broken Group and were the only guests on that day, which was great for us - as some companies cancel not sufficiently booked trips. We had a wonderful day of paddling 24 km with our well experienced guide Joanne, in smooth conditions, sunny and the sea flat like a mirror, exploring much of the Broken Group. When combined with a taxi boat from Uculuet, the islands are a great day trip!Written October 2, 2024
- L3622WJjeffb0 contributionsCanada‘s Caribbean hidden gem!We timed the weather so perfectly and the experience beat our expectations! Thank you to Jeff and Christine for being amazing hosts/guides. Thank you Kevin for running an amazing business! Cheers from Victoria BCWritten September 16, 2024
- JojoElf0 contributionsLovely morning kayaking and wildlife spotting in UclueletFantastic morning spent with our lovely and very knowledgeable guide Sam, kayaking around the harbour at Ucluelet. We explored the inter tidal areas, spotting colourful sea stars, checked out kelp forests and eel grass meadows, we also saw harbour seals, bald eagles and a black bear. We would definitely recommend taking a tour with Hello Nature, I’m very much a beginner kayaker and the pace was perfect, the rudders on the kayaks really helped too.Written September 11, 2024
- Navigator5608880 contributionsAmazing Scenery!Left the dock at 8:00 a.m. for a full day trip. Water taxi to Benson Island where kayaks were unloaded, we were equipped with gear and given instruction. Our guide, Eric, was very competent and made me feel comfortable throughout the trip. All the equipment(kayaks, PFD's, paddles etc.) were in good condition. Lunch was provided on the beach and was delicious. Eric was very friendly and knowledgeable giving us lots of history and details about the areas we visited. We also stopped at a couple of beaches to stretch our legs and see some interesting landmarks. We were picked up promptly at the set time at a small beach, kayaks and equipment were loaded back on the taxi and we were back at the dock in about a 1/2 hour. We felt safe and it was a great trip, highly recommend.Written September 7, 2024

- 904tjeerdh0 contributionsGreat 3-day guided trip with Jeff!We had an incredible 3-day guided kayak/camping trip around the Broken Group Islands led by our guide, the amazing Jeff, and we all loved it. A family of 4 with one 14 and one 11 year old, we loved exploring the islands for swims and picnics and wildlife. Setting up camp was part of the fun, and Jeff's incredible cooking felt like we had our own private butler! We would highly recomment this trip and Hello Nature.Written September 1, 2024

- BDM000010 contributionsBroken Islands with LisaMy two adult daughters and I just completed the 3-day Broken Islands tour. It was incredible, and exceeded all my expectations. A big part of this was thanks to our guide, Lisa, who was a great guide and a really nice person to spend our time with throughout the three days. We chose the Lodge option which I really, really liked. The wood fired hot tub with some wine and beer was a big hit after an awesome day of paddling. Lisa quickly figured out what we liked and guided us into some beautiful, peaceful channels including into the Pinkerton Islands. We saw a good amount of wildlife which was just a bonus for us. Thank you Lisa.Written August 17, 2024
- norwegiana20200 contributionsTruly Amazing Kayaking ExperienceI cannot express how much I enjoyed doing the 5 day Broken Group tour! We were a large scout group and Kevin and his team handled everything wonderfully. The put-in and take-out process was so streamlined, and our guides, Jono and Kristine, were PHENOMENAL!! They were so kind and helpful and were very knowledgeable of the area. The trip itself was very nicely laid out and provided a great experience of the islands. I highly recommend Hello nature and could not be more pleased with the quality of this trip.Written August 8, 2024
- Matthieu P0 contributionsNice but not greatIt was nice but the tour guide wasn't really talkative and we had to ask for information about the wildlife in order to have it. We also hopped to see more various landscapes.Written June 23, 2024
- Katha S0 contributionsAwesome tour you need on your to-do list in Ucluelet!!!I was the only person for the morning booking this tour, thus I was able asking lots and lots of questions. Sam did a wundefull job taking the time explaining everything about the area and the different animals we saw (Seals, a blue heron, two black bears, Bald Eagles and various water birds). It was a great tour and I recommend it highly to get a close view to all the water animals. Loved it, besr wishes from Germany, KatharinaWritten May 14, 2024

- 294tanisc0 contributionsWhale Migration 2 DayI had the best trip with Hello Nature, Easter Weekend during the herring spawn. Kevin was organized, communicated well had patients with all of my questions. I joined the group as a solo old lady and felt very welcome. Eric made us delicious food, shared lots of facts about sea-life and indigenous history. We saw Gray Whales, Orcas, a Sea Otter (which is a big deal!) Sea Lions, Sea creatures, a beautiful sunset and shared stories around an evening beach campfire. Our gear was immaculate, safe and if they had control over the weather they get 5 stars for that too. Perfect 2 day paddle. Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Written April 16, 2024
- kayvee_1510 contributionsAwesome trip, especially for plus-sized outdoor enthusiasts! What an awesome weekend kayaking! We booked in for the herring spawn in the spring with Hello Nature, so of course weather could have gone either way, but we lucked out. Our tour guide Eric was fantastic; knowledgeable, funny and super attentive to everyone's needs and wants. One of the stand-outs of the company, for me, was the accessibility. I'm plus sized (5'8, women's size 18) and not only did they have everything in my size, it wasn't even a concern. There was no dithering, or pointing out anything, the kayak and gear were already the correct size when we arrived, it was just great. My best friend who is 6'4 had the same experience, everything was sized accordingly without any fuss. All the gear was in great shape, clearly well cared for and top of the line. Throughout the weekend the food was top notch, and it was obvious that a lot of care and consideration was put into each part of the trip. I would highly recommend the company to anyone, and especially to locals who might want to do a trip in the shoulder season when there is a ton of wildlife around.Written April 1, 2024
- P3229EKdavide0 contributionsA terrific day out on the waterI had such a great day out on the water today. Kevin was super helpful and flexible in arranging the trip and Eric was a wonderful guide--both very knowledgeable about the area, pointing out wildlife and such, and very friendly and interesting to talk to. Sea lions and bald eagles! Needless to say, the harbour did its part by being exceptionally beautiful. Highly recommended!Written February 4, 2024

We actually just finished the 5 day Broken Group Islands tour, postponed due to Covid for the past two years! Kevin was so accommodating and flexible with all the challenges of having to postpone our trip for two years. So worth the wait! We had a spectacular 5 days kayaking the 4 guadrants of the group. Jonathan, our guide, was a gem. He is very knowledgeable of the area and after a quick introductory paddle led our group on well paced daily paddles. He is also an exceptional chef, putting together memorable meals. We highly recommend this tour/ outfitter.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being able to see this magical place from the kayaker's perspective gave us a true appreciation for the beauty of the broken group. The trip was well organized and Kevin was very accommodating given the challenges and restrictions of the Pandemic over the past 1.5 years.
We had a large group and the guides (Jono, Kali, Lisa, and Christina) really made this experience memorable. Most of our group were novice kayakers and the professionalism and expertise made all of us feel safe and helped us learn and improve our own skills on the water. Their knowledge of the environmental issues and their reverence for the indigenous history left us all with a sense of gratitude for having the opportunity to experience this pristine area. And they all had a great sense of humor and the food was outstanding.
All in all a fantastic and highly recommended experience.

Unfortunately we were not able to take this tour that we had been thinking about booking due to the corona virus situation. However I am leaving a review as Phill was so helpful to deal with when organising our trip, all my questions were answered promptly and I was very much made to feel that he was taking all our requirements into consideration. The trip was going to be the highlight of our trip to Canada and we will definitely be looking to do it when we can finally travel again. These guys seem like a really well run, family friendly business and they deserve your support when things get going again. Thank you Phill and we hope to see you soon.

The glamping tour is the next level to enjoying nature the Uber fancy way. Barrels are the most comfortable sleeping experienced I have ever experienced. They anticipated everything and really made sure we were safe, informed, and satiated.
Loved this experience.

Our guide, Nolan, took us on a spectacular tour of the Broken Islands by Kayak. We went not knowing what to expect and we got gorgeous scenery, whales and eagles and Nolan’s extensive knowledge of flora and fauna and camping. May is a great time to go!

Amazing kayak tour with experienced and informative guide Lisa. We learned a lot about the first nations history of the area and the wildlife. The Islands were inspiring, gorgeous and the food was great. Camping cot and mat were greatly appreciated. I slept like a baby.
Owner Kevin was very responsive to all our inquiries ahead of time.

This was a milestone birthday trip which did not disappoint. From Kevin dropping our dry bags at our motel in person to the knowledgeable guides, Aaron and Christina, to the equipment (except my cot) , to Norm’s efficient drop off and pickup, to our paddling route, to the other guests everything and everyone was amazing and very well organized. The weather was even perfect for 3 full paddling days. I was the slow poke in the group so hopefully the others on the tour enjoyed themselves as much as I did. Food was terrific - gnocchi and salmon, beet carrots and quinoa bowls, charcuterie board to name a few. Lots of vegetarian choices too. Would do another tour with them in a heartbeat.

Hello!
Can you please give me any information about getting to the start point from Victoria? I don’t have a car and I plan to arrive to Canada in July.
The next question is, I am going to travel around Canada and will have a luggage with me... Is it possible to leave it somewhere during this journey?
Best wishes
Sophia
