Very informative tour. We especially liked the earpieces which meant everyone could hear the guide talk very easily, but it made it a bit hard to interact with the guide, so it was more of a "listen to the information" tour rather than interactive. Personally, I like tours with a bit more on local culture/ fun facts/ interesting characters in history to bring things to life a bit more. Would still recommend.

We had a great walking tour, unfortunately can’t remember the name of our guide but she was animated and delightful. 1 hour long and very slight uphill walk. Two teenage boys with us also really enjoyed it. We would come back and tour with this company again. Thank you!

Excellent history tour of China town and the temple. Use of headset ensured all the talk could be heard and the tour went over time. A honey bun to eat was an added extra. Very good value for money.

Outstanding. I don’t think I have ever met a more enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide than Sheldon. Also, they use a audio headset system that worked extremely well.

An informative and engaging walking tour covering a variety of elements of Victoria and its past. The guide was attentive to his group careful that the ten of us stayed together and safe, very important on the busy summer sidewalks. The talk was sensitive to the various peoples in Victoria's history and handled this diversity very well. The pace and duration of the walk is just right (90 to 100 minutes) and while I would prefer that the walk returns us to our start point, it is an easy 10 minute walk from the end of the tour back to the starting point.

We are big history walk fans and this was one of the best we've been on. Chris was a very engaging guide; a good historian and a good story teller. I appreciated how he wove in both the stories of individuals and groups who shaped Victoria while also pulling in the larger historical events that were influencing its growth and trajectory. If you're considering this tour, just go for it! You'll be glad you did.

I thoroughly enjoyed our walk back in time with Gill. History, humour and wonderfully spooky stories seamlessly bound together to provide a fun-filled wander through the darker parts of Victoria's past! Highly recommended and excellent value!

Informative, entertaining guide. Loved the fact he had earpiece for each us so we could easily hear him over the noise of the city and as we spread out a bit. Good walking pace - easy for old and young to keep together. So glad we did this on our first afternoon in Victoria.

We found Chris, our tour guide, to be very enthusiastic about sharing the history of Victoria. He is a historian and brought history to life. It was fun to learn about all the old buildings and the history behind them. He provided us with a headphone set which we could then clearly hear what he was telling us. Very helpful! Excellent walking tour by the knowledgeable John Adams and his grandson Oak. I took copious amounts of pictures and they are posted on Facebook. It was a wonderful tour even in the rain! We were given headsets so we could hear our guide even if we were not close to him. We learned a lot! We highly recommend taking this tour.
