    Fun Tour
Personable owner/tour guide with interesting stories of the area and shops/restaurants on the tour. As tasty as everything is, you only get samples of menu/shop items, and there's walking in between, so don't expect to feel full afterwards. We would definitely go again AND take family and friends.

    Very tasty
Andy was knowledgeable of the food scene and history of Victoria. His presentation was both entertaining and appreciate his enthusiasm. The small business restaurants all had their own unique taste and flavor. Highly recommend this tour!!

    Great experience!
Andy was a wonderful guide and host! His knowledge of the city and its small businesses really introduced us to the food scene in Victoria. We would definitely do this again when visiting BC.

A fun, informational and delicious tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food tasting tour with Andy in early Sept 2024. We appreciated each tasting, meeting the chefs, and learning about the areas of Victoria that we visited. The tour really enhanced our overall visit to Victoria. Highly recommend it!

I enjoyed this food tour immensely. The guide was so knowledgable, funny, personable and chose wonderful shops/restaurants to sample. The history lesson was very interesting and the entire tour was well organized and well paced.

Great food out of our normal comfort zone
Andy took us on a very informative tour of the downtown area from a historical perspective. This was our 1st day and very first visit to Victoria, so we were grateful for the experience. The food was very tasty and we would not have tried it without the tour.

    Excellent Food Tour
When we were in Victoria, we went on a food tour with Andy. We loved it! We loved all of the food stops, but the history and information shared was our favorite part. No, probably not. The food was definitely our favorite part!

Yummers! And a great introduction/start to seeing Victoria
We drove over from Sidney and didn't have a lot of time. Was a great way to see and learn about Victoria while having lunch at the same time. We met and heard from several of the restaurant owners. It's a group tour that's not all gawking - Andy is a one man show, and when he introduces the restaurant owner and they tell you their story while you enjoy their food, it's more like a friend showing you around introducing you to their friends. Also nice to support these small businesses.

Even my 11-year-old grandson fully approved!
A Taste of Victoria Food Tours was an excellent culinary and historical experience. It was the right mix of savory, sweets and drinks to encourage us to stay longer in Victoria to check out more restaurants. Even my 11-year-old grandson is still talking about it nearly a week later:-).

This should be the first thing you do in Victoria
Definitely recommend this food and history tour. Going on this tour first thing after arrival in Victoria will orient you to the city and give you lots of places to come back to later. The tour guide and owner Andy is knowledgable, articulate, and fun. Is a bit pricy but worth it.

    Thanks, Andy!
Andy led our group of eight from a Princess cruise on a terrific walking food tour of Victoria. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the local food scene in Victoria. I think we all fell in love with this charming city, because of his clear and evident love for his city, which was evident throughout the morning. The stops were perfect. The more-than-bite-sized food at every stop was delicious. I would give the highest recommendation to this tour.

We had a great time with Andy as he led us through 8 different locations in Chinatown and the inner harbour of Victoria. We found him to be informative and easy going, often adding interesting and funny stories to add more colour to the tour. His food and restaurant selection was diverse and I found him to be very respectful to each of the owners. If you have a couple of hours...spend it with Andy.

Andy was a great guide. We learned a lot about the downtown Victoria food scene as well as some of the local architecture and history. Andy was full of enthusiasm and gave us lots of information about each restaurant and the specific history of how it came to be. We really enjoyed the food and even went back for seconds to some locations. Would definitely recommend this is a great way to get to know the downtown food scene and local must try places.

Andy, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional. As a resident in the area, we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Victoria, a city that he clearly loves, through his eyes. It was great meeting some of the local chefs and owners who are so proud to share their love of food with us. The tour takes exactly 2-hours as advertised and is well worth the money. You learn about the history of Victoria while sampling some great food - come hungry. Lots of rest stops along the way. Thank you Andy!

This would be a good tour if you have extra time or are travelling alone, as it's a nice way to meet people from other parts of the country/world and learn some trivia about Victoria. However, it is not good value if you do not drink alcohol or like sweet desserts. The cost of over $70.00 per person does not fill you up for lunch as the samples given of each food item is small.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m sorry to hear that you did not find the tour to be of good value. This is not something we hear very often as there are 7 tastings and only 1 sweet tasting and 1 alcohol tasting. Overall it adds up to 1200-1400 calories, which should make you feel like you had a lunch out of the deal. However, the idea of a tasting tour is to try small bites of a variety of different places including sweets and alcohol. We do offer non-alcoholic beverages for those that don’t drink at that 1 stop. Nonetheless, I’m sad that the experience didn’t live up to your expectations. I hope the rest of your trip went well. All the best, Andy

This tour is so much more than just a food walking tour. We not only tasted delicious food and drinks, we also received a wealth of history and knowledge from Andy. We walked all over different parts of Victoria seeing so much more than we would have seen ourselves or with any other tour guide in my opinion. Andy has so much passion for what he does and is very humourous and charismatic as well. You will love being in his company! If you do only one tour, I would pick this one in a heartbeat.

The tour was outstanding. Andy was a great guide providing narrative on each stop and surrounding area. The selection of tastes was diverse and very yummy. Unless we went on this tour we may of never of found out about the many hidden gems to eat and drink. La Roux Patisserie dessert was incredible. Wish we had another day or so to go back to this area.
A definite must if you have a couple of hours in Victoria.
