- T5990LLjamesl0 contributionsGreat evenings fun!A fantastic tour operated by Ziptrek. We arrived and there was some confusion about how long the tour might take with our travel arrangements. The team did there best to ensure we could still go on so big thanks firstly to the team in the check in centre and to Seb & Lukas who were both excellent knowledgeable fun and still safety conscious guides. A whole heap of fun flying through the winter rainforest. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks guys!Written December 26, 2024

The guides were so friendly and informative taking us on a walk through the canopy and forest, and telling us about the history and ecology of the area. There were so many mushrooms!! Really professionally run, very enthusiastic guides and fun ziplines. We actually live in the Sea To Sky Corridor but had never experienced this ecotour and learned so much! Highlight was hanging upside down suspended above Fitz creek!! would definitely recommend this if you and the family are into adrenaline and nature! Thanks!Written October 15, 2024

Our two 2 tour guides were professional, patient, informative and fun. Along with the zip lining the tour also included info about the ecosystem of the mountain and Ziptrek’s conservation efforts. I initially felt some trepidation but the guides put me at ease and once we got started I was completely relaxed. If I ever have the good fortune to come back to Whistler I’ll definitely take another Ziptrek tourWritten September 30, 2024

I recently had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the Eagle Tour with Ziptrek in Whistler, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! From start to finish, the adventure was filled with excitement, breathtaking views, and incredible guidance from our amazing guides, Lukas and Joe.
Their expertise, humor, and genuine passion for what they do made the experience even more memorable. They not only ensured our safety but also kept us entertained with fun facts about the environment and the area’s unique ecosystems. Their energy was contagious, and they helped calm the nerves of anyone who might have felt a bit hesitant at first.
As for the ziplines? WOW! Soaring high above the stunning Whistler landscapes with the mountains, lush forests, and sparkling creeks below was like stepping into another world. The lines were exhilarating, especially the longest and fastest ones—it truly felt like flying.
I can’t recommend the Eagle Tour enough, especially with Lukas and Joe as your guides. If you’re looking for a combination of adrenaline, awe-inspiring scenery, and a whole lot of fun, this is the experience for you. I’ll definitely be back for another round!

This was one of the very best things we did on our whole holiday! Tefi and Talia took us through the safety talk and checked our harnesses before doing each zip line. We did the Eagle Tour of 5 zip lines, which took about 2 hours 50 minutes in total. You take a gondola trip half way up the mountain to get to the first zip line, which is the longest. I am scared of heights but really wanted to do this and walking down the steps was hard but so worthwhile. Amazing views…a real rush of adrenaline and the satisfaction of having done it! Lines 2 and 3 were shorter but still fun and line 4 was my favourite- it’s the second longest but by this time I could really enjoy it to the full. On the last line, you have an extra safety line so could go upside down if you wanted to. I didn’t do that but did let go with my hands. It was quite cool walking through the woods on a hot day between zip lines and the eco talk content about their approach to sustainability was very interesting. Drinking water was supplied at two points during the experience. It was absolutely brilliantly awesome!

Absolutely fantastic activity, great set up, perfect blend of adrenaline, nature, gentle hike through the forest and eco info.
Our guides Kirsty and Dan were awesome, professional, experienced and fun.
Great activity for all, amazing views of the mountains and valley, would also be stunning in the summer.
Well worth the price, 2.5/3 hrs of really good fun, cannot recommend highly enough!

I regret to inform that my experience with Ziptrek was profoundly unsatisfactory. My friends and I had a reservation for a zipline session at 3:50 PM, which we were compelled to cancel due to inclement weather conditions. Upon attempting to cancel, the supervisor informed us that the cancellation was not possible as it was beyond the 24-hour notice period. Given the severity of the weather, it was impractical to proceed with the activity, raising concerns about safety liabilities. Furthermore, the supervisor’s demeanor was far from professional, and an additional fee of $50 per person was demanded for rescheduling. This approach to customer service is very disappointing.

Greetings Solo YXR,
Sorry to hear that from your perspective, your experience with Ziptrek was unsatisfactory. However, in reading your review and discussing it with the staff involved that day - it appears you didn't truly understand our operation, policies, or what you ultimately signed up for. As stated on our website, Ziptrek is an outdoor activity that operates in all weather conditions (the only exceptions being very high winds, and if there's a risk of lightning). Rain does not qualify as "severe weather". We also state and ask that guests "dress according to the weather conditions of the day". Whistler is a mountain resort, and weather can often change quickly and unexpectantly. That said, our operations team (not individual guests) determine whether a tour is safe to operate or not. We had several other tours go out that day, without any issues. Plus, we've been operating safely, and effectively in Whistler for over 20+ years now, so have a very solid handle on operating our zipline tours, and have an exemplary safety record.
As far as cancellations go - we have a very clearly stated 24hr cancellation policy. Guests have the option to change their tour time, but if it's within the 24-hour time period there is a re-booking fee. This is no different than how an airline operates (change fees are standard). Without those policies in place, it would be very difficult to run an effective operation (i.e. if every guest were to just randomly decide when they'd like to go, or not).
Again, sorry to hear you found this all unsatisfactory, but I believe if you had reviewed and researched what you were booking, none of this would have come as a surprise. Lastly, not sure you can refer to us as "The Worst Zipline Ever" if you never actually experienced one of our tours.
Sincerely,
The Ziptrek Team

What a perfect way to start the day with some morning ziplining! The Eagle Tour offers an exhilarating experience with five ziplines in total, connected by scenic mountain walks in between. The staff was incredibly helpful, and a special shoutout goes to Alanna, who made the experience even better. She promptly assisted with booking and was exceptionally engaging and welcoming when we met her at check-in. For anyone visiting Whistler, I highly recommend trying the Eagle Tour with Ziptrek. It’s absolutely worth it!

Terrific zipline experience. We went for the bear tour which starts and ends in Whistler village. There were plenty of slots available mid week but it is still better to book in advance to avoid missing out.
They say to arrive 15 minutes before your tour but realistically you only need 5 minutes. Our guides were both lovely and made you feel 100% safe. I loved that each zip has steps down until you feel the harness take your weight so it’s not a drop at the start like on other courses I have done.
The first zip on the bear route is insanity fast and pretty scary so I would not recommend it for children. After that zip it confirmed that I would hate the Sasquatch! The rest are far more enjoyable with views over the mountains and rivers. This is definitely the most picturesque zip tour I have been on. There is quite a bit of walking between the zips but they say that upfront.
All in all it was a great experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Great morning out. Well organised. Excellent views. We had Luke and Tom as guides and they were great, made everyone feel very comfortable. We did the eagle package (5 zip lines) - these were all really good with a little difference between them all. Was good value for money, walks in between were interesting and informative, learning a bit a bout the area. Rides were long, quick and enjoyable.

Fantastic 2 hour journey through the forest, really engaging guides who obviously loved their job, knew loads and where really professional and safety orientated, totally put us at ease whilst hanging hundreds of feet up and wizzing about in the treetops.
Cannot recommend it enough…oh and we saw a bear!

This was a great experience from the start. Reservations and forms were easily done on line ahead of time so very convenient. The staff was very friendly, and our guides, Zoey and Sophie were the BEST!! I want to commend the way they conducted business. We only had 3 of us in the time slot we reserved so we were afraid they would push into another group since it's normally 10 people. They did not. They never even considered it and took just the 3 of us. WOW, how fun that was to have so much time to chat with guides and take our time between ziplines. For older folks like us that matters when you've got a LOT of steps between lines. Guides were very knowledgeable, shared interesting information, and just super nice and friendly! Would absolutely do it again.

My daughter has been patiently waiting to be big enough to go on a Ziptrek Tour for over a year now. Although she was just shy of the weight requirement she was able to tandem with the guide on the first zip line and did the final 4 on her own. The guides were very friendly and full of information. The zip lines went back and forth between Whistler and Blackcomb and the scenery was amazing. We ski the mountain often but this was a whole new perspective!

Hi, do I need any special clothes, equipment for the Bear tour? Also, where do my stuff goes? haha, I will be traveling with my backpack and camera and I'll love to make pictures of the experience.

Hello, we are looking at booking the Eagle Tour zip line experience and were wondering what time of day is best to book? They have morning, afternoon and late afternoon available.
Thanks!
Written October 6, 2019
It depends on time of year. It is getting dark earlier now (October) so I would book a late morning to early afternoon time. A early start may be a little cool temperature wise, so dress for it. You may also experiance that morning mist/fog so you may lose some of the scenery. We didn't book an early start because we didn't want to feel rushed through breakfast. You may be ok with that.

Whats the difference between Non Peak Eagle tour and Eagle tour?
Written July 24, 2019
Hi. Non-Peak available on Tours departing 5 PM and later (Eagle & Bear Tour only. Summer season only.). Prices for non peak eagle tour is less compare to regular one. But it’s better to do regular one. As weather is tricky.
Written July 25, 2019
Hi
We are a family of 5 travelling there in July. If we do the peak to peak and Bear Zip lining tour, do they have to be done in the one day? Are you given a time for the ziplining? We wanted to spend a while on the walking trails so can you do this over 2 days?
Written March 30, 2019
The peak-to-peak is not timed; you just go the gondola that leaves from the town centre, and then when you get to the top of Whistler you go to the peak-to-peak and wait your turn.
Ziplining is timed. We've gone in the morning, mid-afternoon, and late afternoon and all were good. You do a bit of walking and going up bridges and stairs so if it is going to be hot (which it might be in July) you might want to aim for earlier - but you'll cool down on the zip, so...

Hi Kimmyg,
We are going early May. And are wonder two things.
Would you suggest we book when we arrive our before leaving Australia ahead of time online.
I see you did the Eagle tour. What exactly did that cover. We have read the brief but are still unclear if it covers more than the one monster zipline.
Hope you can help
Written February 4, 2019
The Eagle Tour was 5 zip lines and 4 sky bridges. You went about halfway up the mountain in a gondola then alternated zip lines to the bottom, it was great and I would highly recommend this tour. The Sasquatch is the longest zip line in North America and is not part of this tour but you can purchase it along with this tour as a combo package.
If you will be there for quite a few days and are able to adjust your schedule as needed then you probably do not need to book ahead that time of the year but if you only have a day or two to fit it in it is best to book ahead.

If your girls are a bit timid, do the bear one. If they like a more exciting adventure then the eagle.
