- 506rias0 contributionsFeb experience in the Whistler resortJD and Harry were our 'guides' for the day and were fantastic. Everything was very well organised, the chat along the way was informative and light hearted and they did a great job with my very nervous 71 year old Mum! Would highly recommend the 5 zip session and if you get these guys, all the better for you ;-)Written October 8, 2024
- ssj120160 contributionsZiptrek Bear Tour WhistlerMy sister and I (both in our 70s) went on the Bear Ziptrek Ecotour and it was wonderful. It was perfect for first time zippers. Our two 2 tour guides were professional, patient, informative and fun. Along with the zip lining the tour also included info about the ecosystem of the mountain and Ziptrek’s conservation efforts. I initially felt some trepidation but the guides put me at ease and once we got started I was completely relaxed. If I ever have the good fortune to come back to Whistler I’ll definitely take another Ziptrek tourWritten September 30, 2024
- Fmckay310 contributionsAmazing experienceWe did the eagle tour which comprises of 5 different zip lines and a short trek down the mountain to each one. Our guides were Jack, Harry and JD who were very knowledgeable about the surrounding environment. They were also very chilled as well as being very professional which made it a very relaxing, fun experience. We felt very safe at all times would definitely recommend!Written September 25, 2024

The Eagle Tour was absolutely fabulous. The guides (Charlie and Erin), were so good and made us feel so relaxed, we had not done anything like this before. - 650erikb0 contributionsAdventure for everyone! (under the supervision of pro's :))I did the Eagle tour with a group of friends. The tour was brilliant and the guides were absolutely passionate and engaging. This tour had multiple lines with differences in speed and length, this made it super nice next to the astonishing views! Besides the adventure there was attention to the animal and plant life in the area, which was very insightful. A recommended tour for both zip-line beginners as regulars.Written September 15, 2024

First off, amazing experience all round! The Staff were friendly, informative and answered any questions happily. Safety was their top priority which helped put nervy minds at ease.
Our guide for Sasquatch (Sophie from Vancouver Island) was excellent. There was no rushing or pressure from her when at the top of the line.
The zip lasts for approx 90/120 seconds depending on weight, but wow, what a rush! The first 30 seconds while gaining speed were just immense! Then you could enjoy the rest until you reached the end.
The eagle tour was also excellent. 5 separate lines all of a very good length and the guide again were great. They encouraged trying things like going upside down if you felt comfortable, this was great fun, although not for the faint hearted. But there was no pressure if you didnt want to!
Overall an excellent company, brilliantly run and would recommend and go again myself!

Had a fun time zip lining with my family and friends.
A big shout-out to our guide, Jackson, who went above and beyond his call of duty. One of us had a bit of problem walking that day and he was extremely patient and even carried my friend on his back for part of the walk back to the gondola.

The Sasquatch zip line itself is about 90 seconds of trill and fun. The rest of the time is spent traveling to the site, it involves a combination of gondola, car ride, walking and trekking. I hope they try to make this a bit more enjoyable for the elderly. I took my dad with me who is 63, and he was exhausted after the excursion.

Greetings Gaurav J,
Sorry to hear that your father found the experience exhausting. I'm not sure how well you researched The Sasquatch® tour prior to booking? but we quite clearly state that all our tours "include stair climbing and trail walking". That said, The Sasquatch® tour has the least amount of trail walking of all our tours, most of which is on a downhill slope, or flat. I can also say with confidence that we have a healthy number of 60+ year old guests visiting our operation on a regular basis, without issue. Obviously an individual's level of fitness is a relative measure, and it sounds like this option wasn't the ideal fit for your Dad. However, as mentioned above the experience is well described on our website. As far as "travelling to the site" (launch) goes - for The Sasquatch® zipline to travel the distance it does (+2kms), and at a significant height between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains (signature mountains of the resort), it needs to launch from a decent elevation (hence the gondola ride). With that said, that's also what provides the stunning views and perspective while zipping, which most find super enjoyable (see other reviews). Again, sorry to hear this wasn't the case for you and your Dad, but I believe a bit of upfront research may have avoided this.
Sincerely,
The Ziptrek Team

The zip line is a great experience although a tad expensive! The zip line is the best zip line I’ve been on for the duration, views and speed. I would say that it would have been nice for the guide (Luke) to interact in the travel up and down, he was actually really knowledgable when we pushed for a question but he spent the time on his phone messaging otherwise.

There is not a high enough rating scale to do this team justice! We celebrated the family matriarch’s 96th birthday with three generations riding the Sasquatch Zipline. The staff went over and above to make sure the experience she’d been dreaming about for years was absolutely perfect. All five of us agree: the Sasquatch is the most exhilarating experience ever and Ziptrek Ecotours rocks! Everything was professional and top notch - not to mention down right fun - from being escorted through peak Whistler Crankworx crowds, the gear preparation, safety protocols, the AMAZING zipline ride between mountains, and even a piggy back ride for part of the hike back to the gondola, our guide Katie was a star! Thank You is wholly inadequate to express our appreciation to Katie and all the staff for making Nai Nai’s birthday wishes come true!!

There isn’t a rating scale high enough to do this team justice! We celebrated the family matriarch’s 96th birthday with three generations riding the Sasquatch Zipline. Start to finish, the experience was absolutely wonderful, with all the staff at Ziptrek Ecotours going above and beyond to help make the experience she’s dreamed about for years absolutely perfect! Our guide, Katie, took charge of the birthday girl and escorted her all the way through, including a piggy back ride part of the way back! Even for those of us not quite as brave, Katie was full of encouragement and helped us have the most exhilarating experience ever! “Thank-you” is entirely inadequate to express our appreciation for making Nai Nai’s birthday dreams come true!!!

What a great experience. We did the Bear trek in the morning and then with my teenagers I did the Sasquatch trek in the afternoon. The team really promote safety as well as the eco-credentials of the tours. The Bear tour was nice and gentle in the morning and got you used to the set up and how the trek worked. The Sasquatch was another level, really exhilarating and a really great experience - definitely recommend if you're in Whistler. Thanks to all the team (Megan and team)

From beginning to end we had a fabulous experience.
Kudos go to Issac our guide and Steph for reassurance and making us feel comfortable.
It would be a challenge for someone with mobility issues as there was a bit of a walk to get to the jump and when we finished on the zip line.
We would definitely recommend everyone to experience this activity including people like us who are aged 62+

Amazing
Whistler is great, going up the mountain by gondola you get to see it from a different angle. By luck we also saw a bear rolling in the last remnants of winter snow once we got up there.
The sasquatch is sooo high & sooo long that I'd probably not recommend it if you are scared of heights, but would definitely recommend it to everybody else. That 1st step into the abyss is scary, but worth it for the 2km flight.
Great thing to do as a family

It was the 2 nd time our family did a Zipline experience
first was in Costa Rica (multiple lines in different hanging positions, different jumping experiences and different environments/sceneries)
In Whistler we went for the longest line Sasquatch.
The people of the organisation were great!! Especially our guide from Ucraine, Sasha. He was very enthousiastic and entertaining.
The girl at the jumping platform took great care of everybody's safety and anciety.
Zipping is always fun!!!! The speed of the Sasquatch is breathtaking!
The points we regretted ;
- most of us went down turned with our back to valley and could not turn around to face the valley, even using the methods that we were told to use. therefore we could not enjoy the view of the valley properly.
- most of the scenery consisted of pinetrees; we prefer more varation in the view
- after 1 zip it is already over, so we prefer a multiple zip tour

Just wondering if anyone can recommend whether the Sasquatch or the Eagle tour are best?
With the Sasquatch tour it looks like we would get to ride both the Black comb and Whistler gondolas which I like since the Peak2Peak experience is closed when I’m visiting. Thanks in advance for any advice!

You will go to the info center where you get fitted with your gear
So if u are staying in whistler you can walk otherwise they pick u up after getting fitted for gear at their office in whistler
Very easy
Remember that when you take off you will get turned around so the whole trip is looking backward
Really doesn’t matter as for the first 15 seconds you can’t think straight
I am 71 200 lbs was going about 110 mph
All my family did it was fabulous
Do it!!!!!
