      Exhilarating Adventure
I saw a video on YouTube and immediately knew I had to do this both for myself as well as a birthday gift for my son. We had three other people in our group, who were not known to us but had great camaraderie. Cairn was an amazing guide, who was always there to encourage us and help us. One of my the young female who got really nervous and was crying, Cairn handled the situation very well. Guided her well and let her take her time. She eventually overcame her fear and was able to successfully complete the climb with the rest of us.

      10/10 First time backcountry experience!
Adrian made the classroom / outdoor session as enjoyable as possible, would definitely recommend using these guys if it’s something you’re interested in getting in to. Will be booking more courses through MSAA to progress in the backcountry.

10/10 would recommend AST refresher with Cloe!
We did our AST Refresher in Squamish with Cloe and had the best time! Cloe took the time to make you feel comfortable, safe and empowered. She has so much knowledge and is great at sharing it in a digestible way.

      Guided hike and snowshoe adventure
I had a wonderful half-day adventure hiking a snowy trail alongside the Chekamus River south of Whistler, up to a ridge above Logger Lake. My guide, Cairn, was from Scotland, which made for great conversation. He was knowledgeable about trees, birds, weather and terrain and he was well-prepared for all conditions. We used micro-spikes rather than snowshoes (which he brought along). The trail was a steady climb through trees. It was snowing lightly all morning and the trees around us were laden with snow and breathtakingly beautiful.

      Fantastic Avalanche Refresher Leader
I did an avalanche refresher course with Elodie. She was so passionate, fun, and informative, and even followed up with additional resources by email. It's wonderful to learn from someone who is so keen and excited. Thank you!

      Loved the Via Ferrata
We loved our afternoon in Squamish on the via ferrata. Our guide, Victor, was amazing. To ensure we could concentrate on the climbing he took photos of us on the rock face that we will cherish for life. Whilst the photos make it look like a daring climb, all of the safety measures ensure you feel comfortable at all time. Thank you Victor for an amazing climb.

What an amazing experience! Our tour guide Emile was fantastic - very knowledgeable and he also made sure that everyone was safe and had a great time. Emile also went out of his way to make sure my 9-year old son was fine for the entire trip!

      It is not for everyone
If you are not fit for this, you will lose money because there is no refund. They will ask you to stop in the middle of the hike if you are not able to keep up with the group. They made the right call for my wife and I agree with the decision. Just want to let everyone know that you won't get the money back if you don't finish it.

      Super!
Our guide was just awesome. There were 3 in our group, one of which was more advanced. Our guide was able to to challenge all of us at our different skill levels. Would book again - if only we didn't live out of province.

This was a great hike up the whistler peak. Victoria our guide was exceptional and did ensure our safety providing lessons on how we handle any untoward situations.

She was quite knowledgeable and made sure the hike was at the pace we could handle.

This hike is highly recommended .. and forgot to mention the views from the top are exceptional

My husband and I went on this morning’s glacier ascent and it was fabulous! Mike, our guide was great, teaching us about mountaineering and explaining carabiners, different mountaineering terms, and belaying. We also enjoyed finding out about Mike’s adventures around Whistler and beyond. It was our first time using crampons but after a few minutes instruction we felt very comfortable on the ice.

The hike was a bit challenging but a must do for anyone with a moderate level of fitness.
A definite must do adventure for visitors to Whistler.

I had a great time with our guide April, who's so knowledgeable and entertaining. I took some tours in the past in Alaska, but it was the best for me and I totally recommend this tour to everyone including beginners. We could start from the very basic step on the glacier and never felt too scary because April always pull me and support. It was the very exciting and beautiful tour I've ever had. I totally appreciate for such a wonderful experience in a short stay in Whistler. She also shared really heartful and brave insite during the course, which also gave me a great appreciation to the wildlife.

I wanna come back to this beautiful place again.
    Many thanks,

This was such a fantastic tour. Although it was a cloudy day on the mountain, it did not spoil this adventure. Jeremy, my guide, was great. He explained things really well and made it a very enjoyable experience. This was my first ever glacier ascent and first time wearing crampons. A memorable and enjoyable experience. Thanks Jeremy and Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures!

We (family of 5) booked a private hike at 15:00 to give us time to do Sasquatch zip line in the morning and still get up to the top of Whistler Mountain, do a peak-to-peak to Blackcomb and get some lunch before heading up the glacier. We met at 14:40ish and met Maya and Tim who were brilliant guides who dealt wonderfully with a couple of the group very nervous about hiking with crampons across pretty steep ice. They were very flexible with how the group worked and the routes we took and we all got a great experience with some wonderful views that not everybody gets. Back down at base in Whistler just after 6pm. Topped off a great day - thanks so much Maya and Tim.
