Awesome climbing experience
Oct. 2021
I did the Star Chek multi-pitch climb with Corey last week. What an exceptional experience!

I live on the US east coast in an area where there is not a lot of great climbing, so a chance to climb in BC was an opportunity I could not let pass. The climb was definitely a challenge, but Corey's obvious expertise and familiarity with the climb made me comfortable that I was in good hands as I worked through situations that definitely stretched my boundaries and forced me to get 'dialed in.'

I also appreciated his patience in coaching me on some anchor and belay techniques that I will be able to use in the future on my own.

Kat and Ollie in the office were also indispensable for their assistance over the phone and by email as I researched and set up the climb. They made it as easy as it could have been.

If I am able to come back to BC in the future, I will definitely return to Mountain Skills!!

You are stronger than you thought!

We booked Half Day Whistler & Squamish Rock Climbing. We selected the Squamish location. It is about 58km south of Whistler and on the way to Vancouver. We were told Squamish offers more climbing routes. Corey is our instructor. He is very knowledgeable. He not only taught us lots of useful climbing techniques but showed us his love and passion for this sport. That is really inspired us. We finished what we thought impossible when we started! That is just the beginning of our outdoor climbing. We definitely will do it again!

Excellent First Climbing Experience with Mike
Aug. 2021
Prior to signing up for the half day Climbing Taster, I had never climbed before. I had such a fantastic experience, and our guide Mike Vert was absolutely wonderful. He was very supportive throughout the day, and was very clear about his instructions. I felt very safe every step of the way, and I learned a lot. Mike helped me discover a love for climbing, and I would definitely recommend going on a guided climb with him.

Vacation Highlight
We booked the Rock Climbing Taster and drove out to the Brandywine Crag to meet up with our instructor, Nolan, for our class. From the beginning, this guy was a gem. Very nice, personable and encouraging. He didn't waste any time teaching us how to rope in, commands, how to belay, etc. Even when my wife had a little freak out, he was able to get her to try again. My kids (12 & 10), both had a lot of fun and this was easily one of the most enjoyable parts of our vacation.
