We went on a day that the surrounding peaks were hidden by low-lying clouds. We assumed the flight would be cancelled, but at 845, Blackcomb phoned to say the clouds were lifting, and they would go ahead. By 1030, we took off, and the clouds still had not lifed so we were unable to fly over the peaks of Whistler or fly over the glacier (A MAJOR DISSPOINTMENT) The pilot continually kept on saying sorry that we couldn't see various scenic sights that were in the brochure. I think she was embarrassed that her company would even fly in those conditions. Also that put 4 people on the back seat and the middle 2 couldn't take photos or see out of the window for a clear view. I doubt they got their $300 worth for a 15 minute flight. So if you are considering flying Blackcomb Helicopters do yourself a favour and 1: only book for a day that is sunny or at least doesn't have low lying clouds covering the peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains ans 2: only book if there are less than 5 passengers so you don't get stuck in middle of the back seat.

The whole adventure was rather surreal and amazing. To one minute be in our hot rusty old van and the next being placed gently in the fragrant high alpine by helicopter beside a gorgeous remote lake takes some getting used to comprehending. We had such a memorable amazing time. The paddle boarding was sooo cool. We paddled between icebergs and around the shoreline of the whole lake. The colours and sounds were primordial, the sun was so healing. We floated transfixed staring at the waterfall at the end of the lake wondering how we got there. “It’s like we’re in a simulation, Dad!”. Well we felt like that the whole day. The picnic was out of this world too. Beyond what we have ever had at a picnic before. Chocolate covered strawberries with pistachio sprinkles, Strawberry cheesecake, Canadian bacon maple doughnuts, charcuterie, sandwiches, the most amazing tomato soup we have ever tasted! We didn’t even get to use the silver tongs provided, we just plowed into it. This must be what Oliver twist felt like when he was rescued from the street urchins. I felt like proposing all over again. Our guide, Brent was amazing. After he magically set everything up and packed everything up at the end, he left us to laugh uncontrollably with joy at everything we were experiencing. In no time after a brief walk on the last of winter’s snow in our flip flops we heard the helicopter coming to take us away. Our pilot was so skilled and fun. He took us over to see the mountain bike trail and the Ipsoot glacier before flying back to base. Our whole adventure was as long as a summer nap and we felt like we just lived the most incredible dream together. Woah.

This team from Blackcomb Helicopters absolutely blew it out if the water for the 2 of us. We attempted 2 trips in Alaska during a cruise but weather did not allow this to happen . Alaskan weather is tricky Began with the prompt pick up at our hotel in Whistler to our pre training to boarding to our flight. This team hit an absolute home run!! Such a high lite to our trip north and west trip. Thank you team Blackcomb Helicopters ❤️

After.a very friendly and professional welcome we were security briefed and took off for a great flight over the lakes, mountains and glaciers. The pilot had a very relaxed and smooth flying style and took us up over Whistler‘s mountaintops to land at a small, remote lake where we heard the marmots whistling (and nothing else). The heli was new and great for taking videos and photos with a lot of plexiglass all around. Great experience, very recommendable. Martin, Germany

We booked our heli elopement well in advance and were looking forward to it. Per my previous discussions with the Company, we were expecting to receive a call a day before the elopement related to the weather conditions in case the weather didn’t look good.. However, we didn’t receive any call. On the day of our elopement, we received a call a couple hours before our flight saying the weather looks good so far but in case anything changes we will call you at 2pm and if we don’t call, it’s expected that we are good for the fight. This was surprising as on the 1st place since we didn’t hear anything from them until a couple hours before the flight instead of the day before.. Later, we didn’t receive any call for them but since I wanted to make sure, I called them at 2.05pm to ask if we are good for the flight. They told us they will call us back if weather is bad in next 5mins as the pilot will be updating in next few mins.. We didn’t hear anything so we left for our flight scheduled at 2.40pm.. When we reached the parking lot at 2.30pm they called us saying the fight is cancelled.. This was very sudden and disappointing given we made all efforts to make sure we are good and we were literally outside ready to board the flight for our elopement.. They did not offer any alternative options such as dates/ times etc even though they knew the booking was for an elopement. We still had a great & beautiful wedding at a different location and made it all work out at the very last minute. The weather was clear and sunny the whole day and days after and we felt like they cancelled on a 10mins notice without any reason or alternative options in terms of timing. We will go for a heli tour on our anniversary next year but definitely NOT with blackcomb helicopters. We DON’T recommend anyone planning any elopement or engagement with blackcomb helicopters since they can ruin your plans any minute even when you have already arrived to fly.

Beautiful day in Whistler for a helicopter tour and Blackcomb helicopters are certainly no. 1 just had an amazing mountain tour and am very impressed with their professional set up followed through in their employees who were very friendly and knowledgeable. Everything worked seemlessly to make the tour so enjoyable. Weather helped! Would thoroughly recommend. Well done blackcomb Helicopters for making such a wonderful memory.

My Wife and I had our wedding on the Tantalus Range flying from the Squamish base. Ben was our pilot and was very professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Neither of us had been in a helicopter before, but we felt at ease due to the professionalism and skill of the pilot, giving us a very smooth ride. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience and would fully recommend Blackcomb Helicopters to anyone thinking of a Heli Wedding.

Our guided ski touring day with and A star was amazing. The pilot was really polite, informative and safe and the entire experience dealing with Blackcomb Heli was excellent. The skiing rocked too! We will definitely do that trip again!

No better way to make a proposal. From the start of booking this event to arriving the base to taking off and coming back, the staff was top notch and know how to keep a secret. The trip was book for a landing on a glacier and tour around the area of Whistler. Our pilot( I forgot his name :( ) was nothing but the best. he was professional when he had to be, and super friendly the rest of the time, as well he seems to posses the ability to disappear on cue. when we went out on the glacier to make my make my proposal, he just seemed to have vanished, after she said yes, he appeared out of no where, with a very hardy congrats, and offered to take pictures. He ( again I can not remember his name) is a very skilled pilot and this was evident by the way he handled and landed the helicopter ( very smooth) Amy and the rest of the staff at Blackcomb helicopter should also be commended. there was an issue with a medical call ( 2 actually ) and there was a lot of juggling of aircraft and prepping the units for departure. At no time did I see anyone seem flustered or out of sorts to this " curve ball". you could see that everyone was own task and very professional The view during the tour is something to see for sure. and not to be missed. Can't say enough good things about this operation.
