My wife and I had never tried to make stained glass pieces. Kim met us at the door to her studio. She was very pleasant and got us working right away. We learned to cut glass. Then we worked on cutting out the pieces of our chosen piece. We then learned how to trim them on the grinder. After that we put copper foil on the edges. From there we soldered the joints. Next we tinned the remainder of the foil. My project turned out great. My wife’s was even better. I made a cat and she made a starfish.

Kim is a patient and excellent teacher, her art studio is gorgeously decorated with her art. You're greeted by her very reassuring presence and she knows exactly how to teach you while allowing you the space to experience the craft. Her place was also easy to find. We really enjoyed our time at this activity!

Our group of 3 had the most fun with Kim in her amazing workshop. Kim is friendly, accommodating, flexible and so easy to work with. The options she offers are perfect, and it was fun getting to pick our own glass pieces. She breaks it all down and makes all skill levels feel comfortable. The end project is the most precious ornament and keepsake. It was the perfect activity for our day in Saint John, and I’d highly recommend Kim and her fun class to all!

Kim is wonderful! This class was so much fun. I came in to town via cruise ship and used a taxi to get to and from her studio (~$18-20USD each way... I dropped off in town on the way back so some slight variation). The studio is tidy and well organized and you can see her beautiful work on display.
Once you get started, you can pick from several variations of templates that are built for beginners but all look great! I chose the snail shell. She then let's you decide what colors you want to use and you begin. She's an excellent instructor, breaking down the terms used like "flux", "foil", and "solder" and explains how to measure the pieces and grind them to fit. Every step she let's you do the work, but is there to give helpful tips so you feel like a pro.
I am not much of a nature enthusiast and love having experiences when I travel that I can't get at home, so for a port of call like Saint John, this was the best experience I could have asked for! I would highly recommend and if I ever come back to Saint John would love to take another class.

Absolutely was shocked what goes into a completed Stained Glass Masterpiece. So much fun and look forward when we can go back. Even my 13 year old enjoyed. Will never look at stained glass the same knowing how much work is put into each piece. Kim is awesome at instructing how to create thankfully as we went in with zero knowledge. We were so happy we went.

This was a great experience. Instructions were clear and concise. It was very independent but also help, guidance and coaching available when needed. Shop is clean and well organized. All our questions were answered and we learned so much. We will be returning and have all ready recommended this experience to many people!

A big thank you to Kim for showing my friends and I how to create our own beautiful masterpiece that we could take home with us. Kim was a great teacher. Taking this class was so relaxing and stress free. It was a nice little treasure to find this class in our own city. Kim made us feel welcome in her shop. It is a must do for those looking for something new to try.

Excellent workshop for first timers! Booked this for me and my best friend who was visiting from out of country. Relaxed and comfortable environment, clear instructions, and patient instructor. We both had an amazing time and have talked about doing it again next visit. Price was great, timeframe was perfect, location was easy to find.

This is a class that I have wanted to do for years. Both my husband and I signed up for a 3 hour workshop and thoroughly enjoyed learning a new skill.
The workshop is professionally kitted out.
Kim discussed each process with us and gave us space to go ahead with confidence (?) Kim was on hand at all times,
Her calm nature puts you at ease .
We left with our finished pieces, gift wrapped ,and proudly hung them in our new home.
