Awesome time. Even if you don’t see any whales or icebergs, the team provides an informative tour and scenic ride. Glen was engaging with us before we stepped onboard and checked in on us frequently during the voyage. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting St. John’s.

I cannot say enough about this tour. We booked because the weather was to be really hot so we thought it would be a good way to stay cool. We expected a tour of the Newfoundland coastline. What we experienced was much more than that and was actually one of the highlights of our Newfoundland trip. We followed a whale for a couple of miles watching it breech from the water 75 times - a record number! It was so exciting. Captain Barry, Fogo Tyler and his crew were excellent - very informative and just as excited as the passengers to witness this. Thanks so much for everything from your PEI passengers! :)

A great tour to do while in St.John's.

The crew was very friendly and informative and the live local music was awesome ! The views from off shore were spectracular. We were fortunate to get to see some Minke Whale's ,Eagles, Puffin's and some other sea birds. Prior to booking I had talked with Carolanne , she was super helpful with all the details, If you atre thinking about a tour give Carolanne a call and she will set you up .

Let me say that the staff was fantastic! My issue is that I booked my tour June 15th and the tour is titled "icebergs, whales and puffins". And obviously you cannot guarantee to see all three. But it was disappointing when I spoke to other tour companies and locals and they revealed it was unlikely to see icebergs and it's not yet whale season. Whale season begins in a couple weeks. We also didn't see puffins. So basically it was $100 a person to sail around the coast. Which I wouldn't have done. I'm not sure why the company would offer this, if those attractions aren't in season. Seems like an easy way to take advantage of tourists. If I decide to travel back I'll probably book a longer tour with McCarthy tours that tours the north part of the island. Their tours I've taken so far have been fantastic

This tour is a rip off as we saw no whales or puffins - oh one dead puffin. We didn’t even go off shore so no intention whatsoever to see whales. The guide book says August is the season but we sailed very close to to shore line, so not a chance.

The boat cruise was ok, maybe a nice experience if you haven't much experience boating. We did not see much out there, just a few puffins swimming and a whale very far out, not a good viewing but of course, that is out of the operators control. We were not happy that the cruise started 20 minutes late as we had metered parking. Also when we got to the launch they demanded $12 per person extra, because gas is now more expensive then when we purchased the tickets and they wanted it in cash only. I would go with another tour next time, in a neighboring community.

Great staff and good tour of St.John's from the sea outlining important historical facts. We didn't see any whales which was a disappointment. They told us that apparently the whales were 2 weeks early due to the ocean being 2 degrees warmer than normal. My only critique: They could have done more to point out the puffins which they said "were all around". I personally didn't see any of them since it was rough on and the puffins are quite small (I didn't realise this). Since the sea was rough and I was getting queasy so stayed in the covered section of the boat so didn't see anything.

The positive is that we did see a bald eagle and some interesting looking fish as well as some geographical landmarks. The other positive was that the physical ticket had discounts to places to eat that we used! That saved us a ton of money so I would say that it was well worth it.

We had a great afternoon on the boat! We didn’t see any whales but I didn’t expect to, facing done my research and knowing the whales have moved on by this time of year. We did see lots of jellyfish and an ENOrMOuS ocean sunfish. I didn’t even know that was a thing! We loved being out on the water. The tough ride back was spent in the front of the boat, getting drenched by the waves and loving every minute.

After coming to St Johns for years, we finally went aboard the Iceberg Quest. This is a MUST to take in the breathtaking sights of this magical island. Live, traditional music by the great Arthur O’Brien makes the trip very special… but the highlight was our charming and hilarious guide, Glen, who welcomed our family with open arms. Thanks Glen and all the great staff who made our trip truly unforgettable!

Was given advance notice that we were not going to see any iceburgs but was still well worth the money. The crew was fantastic and shout out to Glen and Nathan for the extra effort. The live musical entertainment on board simply added to the experience. Capped it off with becoming an honorary Newfoundlander coming through the narrows by being Screeched In.
