Hi there, Please accept our sincere apologies for not having provided you and your group with a much more pleasant experience. This is not how we expect guests to feel after joining us on any tour. We can assure you that the tour was not overbooked - we have a limited number of tickets based on vessel capacity and only sell up to that amount. The Tall Ship Silva Cruise, as described on our website, is a way to get out of the water, enjoy the scenery, enjoy a beverage, and sit back and relax. We do have other experiences on the Silva that may have been better geared to your group - Party Cruises, cruises with Live Music, and Wines on the Water to name a few. Either way, we regret that we did not live up to your expectations and apologize for that.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing this review with us - we're disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy the cruise. To be clear, an adult ticket for the Tall Ship Silva Cruise is $39.41. You're right- we do typically raise the sails and do indeed invite guests to help out. We would have expected our team to inform guests why sails would not have gone up (there are reasons for this) and we regret that it wasn't communicated. As far as the commentary goes - we recently updated our tour (and website description) and did away with the commentary - this was a result of more and more that guests letting us know that they did not want to hear it. We will most certainly revisit this component of our tour. Thanks again for the feedback. It will be taken seriously and shared with the team.

We're truly disappointed that you did not enjoy the experience but we can ensure you that the sails are indeed raised and they would have been if conditions were favourable - this is determined by our captain. What might seem like calm winds from the deck of the vessel could very easily not be the same above. Our team puts safety above all else so several factors have to be considered when making such decisions. Either way, we could have and should have done better and we regret that we didn't.
