    Peggy's Cove Rocks! (Pun intended)
The rocks at Peggy's cove were stunning. They spoke to the Geologist in me. (Amateur, you understand) the tour guide was both super knowledgeable and personable.

Nilah was amazing, she taught me so much about Nova Scotia and Peggy’s cove. She made the ride a lot of fun! Highly recommend a tour with her!

Great short visit to Peggy’s cove
Nilah was a lovely guide. She provided the small group with an appropriate amount of background on Halifax sites as we drove thriftiness town and then as we drove out to Peggy’s cove. We have enough time to explore Peggy cove before returning to Halifax.

Great Itinerary, But Timing and Distractions Diminished the Experience
I wanted to enjoy this tour, and our guide truly did his best to make it worthwhile, but two main issues held me back from giving a glowing review. First, our guide was delayed due to traffic, which unfortunately impacted the timing of our entire itinerary. By the time we reached Peggy's Cove, we encountered large crowds from two other bus groups. I had to wait in a long line for the restroom, and there was no time to grab a bite to eat. Later, we arrived at the Titanic gravesite just before sunset, which felt rushed. Additionally, an older woman sitting next to the guide turned the experience into her own personal tour. She continuously asked questions, leaving little opportunity for the rest of us to engage with the guide. The tour’s itinerary itself was excellent, and we managed to see everything we had hoped to. However, I feel like we missed out on a fuller experience due to these setbacks.

    Excellent tour thanks to Nilah
Our Driver Nilah (I hope I got that right) was excellent. Gave us a lot of information about Peggy’s Cove and surrounds. Had enough time to wander around PC and have a quick bite of lunch. Overall a really good tour.

Halifax to Peggy’s Cove on Oct. 22, 2024
Cynthia was our tour guide from Halifax to Peggy’s Cove. She was very knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Cynthia made our cruise day to Peggy’s Cove very enjoyable. We would highly recommend her and Tripshepherd (tour operator).

    Awesome Trip
Nilah was a great tour guide. She grew up here and did a great job of telling us about the area on the way to Peggy’s Cove. 90 minutes was the perfect amount of time at Peggy’s Cove - a charming fishing village with nice local stores for plenty of shopping. Crab roll was very good. Great tour.

Small group is the way to go.
We were in a small group tour, just the six of us and that was super nice. Thor was our driver and we enjoyed listening to him and learning about the area, etc. He also had a great sense of humor! We would book this tour again and request Thor for our driver.!

    Finest of Halifax
We had a wonderful guide bring us to Peggy's Cove. Unfortunately, we do not remember his name. We went on Saturday Oct 19 in the morning. He was very informative of Halifax in general. The tour was excellent!

    Peggy's Cove
Cynthia picked us up from the cruise terminal. She was a complete delight and passed on her extensive local knowledge about everything Halifax. There were 5 of us on this trip, and we had plenty of time to visit Peggy's Cove and the Swiss Air Memorial site. Thank you Cynthia, was a great tour all round.

    Beautiful way to experience Halifax!
The tour was a beautiful experience to add to cruise memories. The drive through the city was wonderful and relaxing with a detailed narrative from our talented guide Nilah. We arrived at Peggy’s Cove just in time to see the sunset and take some pictures before a delicious lobster dinner. Our guide was knowledgeable and accommodating to our schedule which made it a flawless experience. I would highly recommend the small group tour over a larger bus tour.

Great Tour -- nice sights -- loved the personal service!
Great tour -- direct to Peggy's cover with just our small group of 6! Personalized service and Nilah (our driver and guide) provided very nice commentary about the areas we were driving through and history of the area. Great pickup/drop off at the cruise port. Had 2 hours at Peggy's Cove which was plenty of time to see the sights, do a a little shopping and have a quick lunch on a lobster roll! Would definitely recommend!

    Amazing views
Beautiful views of the coast plus on the way & back to Halifax. Great guide, Sanise was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. After a cold & windy hour at the cove he gave us other warmer options such as a stop at a historic & picturesque church then the titanic grave sites. We just wanted a quick visit to the Atlantic coast and this tour was perfect.

We had a wonderful time on this tour with our guide Andrew. He was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing a bit of the city's history and also some fun anecdotes about the popular culture in Halifax. We thought the amount of food worked really well for the food tour experience. The donair was awesome! Sometimes you end up being stuffed to the point of discomfort on food tours, but this tour was very well paced and designed. Thank you!

My recent seafood walking tour in Halifax, NB, was an absolute delight. Our guide's passion for the city's culinary scene and engaging storytelling made the experience truly memorable. As we strolled through Halifax's charming streets, we learned fascinating insights into the local seafood industry and its history. Visiting various seafood restaurants and vendors, we sampled an array of fresh and delicious seafood dishes along the way. From succulent lobster rolls to perfectly cooked chowder, each tasting was a culinary delight. Highly recommended!

All the food was excellent except the ice cream/dessert. And it was a lot of food-we were stuffed. The ice cream had "cotton candy" around it and it melted quickly into a very sticky mess. The ice cream was good, but the sticky droplets got on my clothes. Also, the itinerary says you go to the Maritime Museum, but we didn't and guide said it wasn't on the list. I don't think we could have had time to see it anyway, but perhaps it should be removed from the tour description. We still enjoyed the tour. We've done food tours in many cities and it is a great way to sample local food and get some history.

Jack was a FANTASTIC tour guide. So knowledgeable and fun to be with, the reason this rating is not a 5 star is because the place where we got the oysters was crowded and it took too long to get our oysters. Delayed our tour quite a bit, but that wasn’t Jack’s fault.

We had a great time despite the weather. Our tour guide Ami (unsure of spelling) was very kind and knowledgeable, and braved the stormy weather with us this past weekend to give us the full Halifax experience. We were inspired to continue to explore the Halifax food scene. Thank you!

This is an Erik only review as Cheryl did not go. Took this tour on August 23rd, 2023. My guide Sarah arrived on time and ready to go. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tour had numerous stops for food. I had seafood chowder, donair, lobster roll with fries, oysters and ice cream. All the food items were delicious. You will get plenty of walking in on this tour, which is good as you get plenty of food. This trip was so much fun I did it again on August 25th, 2023. I give this tour my highest recommendation. Thanks Sarah!

We had an amazing afternoon with Emre! He was gracious and fun and the conversation just flowed. It was the most wonderful thing to do on a cold winter day to have a delicious bowl of chowder. The spacing of the restaurants, the variety of the food and most importantly the company and conversations were fabulous.

OK, don’t show up for this tour unless you’re hungry. Each of our stops consisted of a full portion of each item and not a sample as we expected. My wife and I took this tour today on a beautiful afternoon and we were the only participants ( it is pricey). Our tour guide (Will Flood) was knowledgeable about the city and the food to be enjoyed. He easily shared his knowledge of the history of the area as well as the entertainment options in the city. On our tour we experienced: seafood chowder; oysters; donare (it’s a Halifax thing); lobster rolls and finished up with amazing soft serve ice creme creations served with cotton candy. The tour lasted about 2 hours and included a bit of walking; including climbing several blocks up hill from the harbor. After this tour I guess I’m skipping dinner 😎!!
