COVID protocols were non-existent! I suspect this is because this tour serves both QC and ON, and QC has much more lax COVID Protocols at this time.
The boat was extremely full, no social distancing at all. And in the downstairs cabin you weren't even required to wear your mask unless you were up and walking around. No air flow.
I felt very unsafe during these times.
I wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone at this time. It felt as though the owners were too focused on making up for lost time/money than on people's safety. Extremely disappointed all around.
Overall the information provided was "meh", didn't find it that informative; not much history provided (unlike the Rideau Canal Tour - which did have social distancing, being that it is in Ontario only; and was extremely informative - would recommend that tour to anyone).

Very below average to poor experience. The company has no regard for people's schedules, first boat of the day arrived late and got back to port over 30 min past the scheduled time, which caused us to miss a lunch reservation. The ride itself was just 'meh', the guide was pleasant but just wasn't alot to say / see.
Also, the fact that they charge for kids starting at age '0' is absurd.
Save your money, not worth it at all.

I found the enjoyment of this tour really depends on where you sit on the boat. If you sit downstairs, you won’t be able to see or interact with the guide. If you sit at the back, the boat engines are so loud it is hard to hear what the guide is saying through the speakers - locate at the front of the boat. If you sit on the left of the boat, about 90% of the sites presented during the tour are presented on the right, so it’s not easy to see much until the journey home, when the guide stops talking.
The tour guide asked for a tip, so here are a few to improve the experience for everyone (we all pay the same fee afterall):
1) Add speakers on the lower floor of the back of the boat
2) Instead if rushing through your spiel, take your time, and present some of the sites on the way back
3) Speak up

Terrible experience. There was heavy rain &
thunderstorm on the day of our Boat Tour, Saturday, May 22nd. So the Tour was cancelled. Yet, we were not refunded for the payment we made for 3 adult passengers. I would NOT recommend this Tour to anybody at all. This is a rip off. The Tour Operator should refund our full money back, for this no fault of ours.

We took the Paul’s boat cruise yesterday. The cruise itself was nice and the tour guide did a great job.
My only suggestion is the departure time. We booked the 10:30 tour and the ticket and email clearly stated that the departure time was 10:30. We arrived with and waited for half and hour, and was told that the departure time is actually 11:00. It was ok with us, but we have seniors in our group and asking them to stand for 30 mins was not ideal (there were no place to sit).
My only suggestion is the departure time. We booked the 10:30 tour and the ticket and email clearly stated that the departure time was 10:30. It was a really great ride. I am so glad that Gabriella was our trip guide. She is just awesome! The way she explained the history about places is just outstanding and she made it real fun with quizzes and cool facts. Thanks a lot Gabriella for sharing the great history about buildings with us. Definitely recommend to take this cruise.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing experience! It was our last date before having to start a very long distance relationship and the views were fantastic!! On top of that our guide Pascale was absolutely amazing! She explained everything so well, my boyfriend kept pointing at buildings saying “I wonder what that is” to me but few moments later Pascale would start giving a beautiful bilingual explanation!
There’s a bar on the boat and the drinks were good and reasonably priced, the bartender was very sweet as well!
And when it comes to boat conditions everything was spotless! This is officially my favourite memory of Ottawa. My boyfriend and I loved it and will remember this trip for a long time.

I am very disappointed. The three people in front of us waiting in line to board the boat were not wearing masks and the captain just let them on without asking them to put on a mask. There were signs everywhere saying that masks were mandatory to board. The captain did not challenge them at all. I suspect that once he was paid for the 3 fares, he could not care less. The captain did not give me confidence that he had our safety in mind. The only reason this is not a 1-star rating is because Sandrine, the tour guide, was great.

The cruise was very informative and interesting with the tour guide giving insightful summaries in both English and French. We saw city landmarks, waterfalls, and other places like ambassador residences from a vantage point that you wouldn’t normally see on your own as a visitor. The boat moved a bit slow which was good if you appreciate a little down time with good views but you might feel differently if you have a packed schedule. It ran between 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Amazing staff providing a spectacular view of the Canadian capital. Highly recommended! I booked the 7pm slot so I got to watch the sun set over the river with a glass of wine, before then seeing the beautiful city architecture lit up and reflected on the water. Unforgettable experience. Thank you.
