Alwyn and Aru were fabulous hosts for the day ensuring every bit of the journey was informative . The falls were spectacular and overall the trip was excellent value for money at £135 each . We were picked up at 9.30am , with a few x passengers running late we set off from the city circa 3/4 hour late which was tough to catch up and impacted later in the day .
Wine tasting on route presented a good opportunity to stretch our legs and a comfort break with the team at the winery being well prepared and coordinated - excellent and informative.
On arrival at the falls the restaurant was ready to serve a splendid lunch, service good. However , despite some fast tracking sorted by Alwyn we were left with about 15 mins to view behind the falls and due to queues we were unable to view it all . Some passengers ( the same offenders from the morning ) were over 3/4 hour late which was further frustrating and we eventually left the falls at 4 ( with most having been ready for 3.15 as requested). The next stop was a helicopter flight ( not scheduled ) which some took advantage of and a trip to the rapids and niagara on the lake. This seemed to be a way of maximising commissions from the day trip and sadly left me feeling that I’d been ‘robbed time at the main attraction’ and from my holiday.
I’d recommend the falls but clarify timings with the company before you go so you can hold them accountable to the time and the experience you signed up for.

This first-time trip to Niagra Falls was our primary reason for visiting Canada. Our driver, Wayne was a decent tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the history and area although I think he should have asked everyone if the bus was too hot or if anyone needed a 10 min bathroom break halfway. I think a lot of people were very uncomfortable on the ride there. The bus was full and I regret their policy of allowing children younger than five to participate. Our first stop was a unique winery which I enjoyed very much. The second stop was Niagra Falls with an excellent view. The Hornblower boat was not running even though the weather was excellent. This was a big letdown but no fault of the tour. We were able to walk in the old hydroelectric tunnels with views behind the falls. The lunch meal was good in a restaurant with a bay window view. The helicopter tour was offered but no one opted in for it. We made two other 10-minute stops at viewpoints on the way then to a small town (Niagra on the Lake) with unique little shops. In all, I thought this tour was a very good value even though we did not get the boat ride.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, the lunch was nice and had a great view of the falls, and I appreciated the fact that we were able to visit an ice wine winery. The trip for the most part was fun but I felt we spent way too much time in the town of Niagara Falls (not Niagara on the Lake which would've been nicer). It felt like too much time in an area that was way too touristy and had nothing unique to see. Ended up spending about an hour waiting around in the lobby of the Sheraton - either that or spending time novelty, generic museums.

Excellent tour, very detailed, good timed and not boring at all. The tour guy was really helpful and make our tour really enjoyable. However, I cannot rate 5 stars since the company who made the tour was different from the one I booked ( apparently the season is slow for some companies ).

The day starts early with a series of pick up’s if you join at Toronto as we did. Some on the tour had to get buses to locations en-route.

The journey is about two hours.

What do you wear? We wore shorts and teeshirts with sandals - perfect.

The tour starts at Table Rock where you can view the top of the falls. The time here was a little rushed - 25mins wasn’t really enough. (We suffered some pretty rude individuals that chose to ignore the timetable and kept everyone waiting....with no sign of an apology).

Then the coach took us to nearby the Sheridan. From here a short walk via steps and a lift to the boat that takes you into the falls. The boats run every 15mins so the wait is short. No worries about standing out in the sun.

Ponchos are provided and are a must.

The boat goes right into the horseshoe falls and on top deck you get soaked. The lower deck benefits from cover from the upper deck and is less crowded - photos ante easier and you still see the falls in all their glory.

Then back up to the Sheridan Hotel for a buffet lunch that was ok. Drinks are extra (a point of complaint for some on our party who needed to get a life).

Then a drive in the coach along the river to Niagara on the Lake - very petty and quaint. Here we had about an hour. There was talk of a shuttle bus by our guide but it didn’t materialise so we walked into the town.

Overall a great day out - though I have to say our guide Jim was awful. He was unclear in his instructions, and explanations, missed points of interest (I’ll point out the Hydro Electric Power Station - oh my I’ve missed it...), and was incapable of counting the number of people in the group. We didn’t let his ineptitude spoil viewing such an awesome sight.

The sights themselves are impressive but the bus tour had a few problems. The time management was pretty poor - we were given two and a half hours at the Falls, which was way too long in the freezing winter cold. And we were given one hour for lunch, which was really tight considering how busy the restaurants are. To top it off, the heating in the bus was so incredibly warm that everyone was sweating and falling asleep! We did ask for it to be turned down but not much was done about it.

Worth seeing the sights, tour service disappointing.

The tour itself was good but seemed a bit all over the place. We got to Niagra Falls and had 15 minutes to look around before we headed up to the tower to see the falls from above (the boat had stopped the day before we got there). I thought it was a great view and you can see for miles, true 360. We had our photo taken there and they wanted $25 for it. Very pricey!
When we came back down we were taken for lunch in the restaurant which was a set menu but you did get two choices for the main course. Soft drinks and hot drinks are included but alcohol isn't. You also need to give a tip.
The server was very knowledgeable and food was served pretty quickly as we had 45 mins to eat and then 30 mins to see the falls before getting back on the bus. So a little rushed here I thought. If I'd have known there was a sandwich shop down the road I would have probably gone there so we could have seen more. The food was really nice though. Just time wise it took up quite a bit. We did get a window seat though!
We then headed to Niagra by the lake which is a beautiful little village. Quite pricey but I had some ice cream from here as it was meant to be the best, maple and walnut. It was lovely - probably not a good idea when its cold outside. You cannot go in shops with it either. We had around 45 mins here, but by the time we had got ice cream, looked in a few shops and been to the toilets we were pushing for time to get back to the bus. So we could have done with maybe an extra 20 minutes here. That was the side of Canada we really wanted to see - outside of the cities. We then set off to the college or university campus to taste some ice wine. It's actually really nice, but we don't drink so at $45 for a bottle we didn't purchase any. Apparently it's a dessert wine as it's so sweet. I'm not really a wine fan but I enjoyed it. Then we headed back to the hotels for drop off. Overall It was a good tour but it could have done with being a little longer in places. Tours always seem so rushed no matter where you go.
Although our guide was knowledgeable he did drone on about how expensive everything is in Toronto for the whole journey to the falls which is around 1.5 hours. Great knowledge about everything but i'm not bothered about house prices, how you cant afford to get a car or take the plane home. Yawn! I don't know if he was setting up for a big tip or something. Try going to Vancouver, that's expensive!

They picked me up at my hotel, Intercontinental Toronto Yorkville, at 9am.
Unfortunately, i am the first one on the coach.
It took more than one hour to pick up all the participants and left Toronto at 10:30am.

Therefore, it is best to stay around the Union station and be the last one to get on the coach.

It took 1.5 hour to get to the first stop, Trius winery, to taste the famous Canadian icewine. It was a lovely experience.
The next stop is the falls.
The scene is magnificent. As you might have heard the comment that seeing the Falls from the Canadian side is better than from the US side. It is absolutely true.

There is a buffet lunch at the Sheraton.
You can get as much food as you would need, but don't expect anything delicious.
We have the boat (Cruise) tour after lunch.
It went close to the bottom of the Falls and prepare to get a bit wet.
They provided raincoat for you.
It is very nice to look at the Falls from this angle.
I would advise you to bring with you a "WATER-PROOF" camera to capture this interesting moment.

The last stop is a small town near the Falls.
In my opinion, there is little to see there.
In fact, I think it is better to cancel this stop and give more time to take photos of the Falls. For my visit, only 30 minutes were allowed to take pictures of the Falls. It is very rush.

Not used to organised trips I was at the beginning concerned about the organisation and the services. But I was not disappointed, everything went well! Owen the driver was really friendly and funny, we were not bored all the day with the activities. The lunch was ok. The boat was amazing. The bus is comfortable and we had a great weather. I recommend!
