We learned so much about the history of this part of Toronto from our guide. She took us to places and shared insights that we would have completely missed if not for our guide. Very personable and fun tour!

    Outstanding tour and marvelous guide!
This tour is a must for visitors to Toronto. Our guide, Kieran, was outstanding. We have been on several private tours, but never had the delightful and engaging conversation we had with Kieran. His intelligence and dry sense of humor made the tour even more fun. The walking portion of the tour is short, but pleasant. You see green space along with interesting architecture. We heard many intriguing historical facts along with very tasting some fantastic treats! Each item we tried was delectable and it was difficult to find a favorite. The St. Lawrence Market is such a cool place to find fabulous food, a multitude of sweets and unique souvenirs. We will definitely visit the market on our next visit to the city.

Great way to see and understand the city with added beer!
Dave was a welcoming and knowledgeable host, covering both beer and city facts. It was like walking the city with a friend who happens to know about history and brewing.

    Great tour, highly recommend
Dave was our guide for we three couples from the US. He did a fantastic job in super hot and muggy weather. He kept us in the shade as much as possible. Interesting history of the city described in a very engaging and entertaining way. Loved the stop at the St Lawrence Market, would love it if there was a way to allow a few minutes for shopping. The stops for beer at two breweries were very much appreciated as the weather was so hot. We all enjoyed the Distillery District. Highly recommend.

    Lots of food
This was one of the best food tours we have taken. Our guide was very informative and took us to out of the way places for a real Canadian food experience. We went to the St. Lawerance and the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Well worth taking.

Try to book with Jason - he’s the best!!
My daughter and I did the tour of St Lawrence market with Jason and agreed he was one of the very best tour guides we’ve ever had. Fun, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and chock full of terrific local stories, he made 3 delicious hours fly by! Among the tastings? Apple cake, bagels, blintzes, pierogis, Nanaimo bars, peameal bacon sandwich with maple mustard and more! We were stuffed by the end and knew so much more about Toronto. Highly recommend!!!!

    An original Mother's Day Gift.
My daughter in law took myself and her mother on the tour today for our mothersday gift. Taylor, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the market's history and very personable. We enjoyed the whole experience and came home very satisfied with our outing and planning where to go next time.

    Fantastic Toronto afternoon
As a history buff and beer nerd, I had an awesome time learning about Toronto and the local beer scene. My guide Jordan is a wealth of knowledge on both. His beer recommendations were spot on, and the historical tidbits he provided along the tour route were fascinating. I could not have spent my time any better.

Loved learning things about Toronto I never knew. Specifically the Market but lots about the surrounding areas. This was all due to our guide Tim. Tim was an absolute mine of information. He knew the history of the building, the people in and around too. The little tastes of the area were wonderful giving us an impression of how everything/one got to where it was was. Very good tour highly recommended.

The tour was fun and interesting and glad I got the chance to see some neighborhoods in the city I might not otherwise have visited. Lots of cool places to eat wish I could have tried them all. We did a bunch of snacking at a few stops though. Mike was a great guide who knew so much. And there were about 5 of us all together on the tour. It’s great when you can meet up with strangers but it feels like spending the day with new friends.

Jason was great. We were running a few minutes late and he waited for us.

He had so much knowledge of the city and of the areas we were walking through. He has lived in those areas and knows them inside and out. He knows so much about the local history and had context for everything. Listening to him was like drinking from a fire-hose! Awesome. Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time learning about Chinatown (and eating!) and shopping our way through the immigrant experience in the Kensington Market area. Jason was very knowledgeable, very patient, and had lots of little fun facts to share. Would highly recommend as a private tour and I assume in a group tour setting as well.

We were 10 minutes late to our tour with Alex, who kindly waited for us to begin. We spent about an hour in each Chinatown and Kensington, through which Alex was a reservoir of knowledge and great suggestions of where to eat with our gluten dietary restrictions. I love Kensington, and I might not have even found it, much less understood the culture and history of the market, without the tour. Would highly recommend!

The guide is informative and fun. The pace was good for us older folks and there was a coffee break at the halfway mark. Toronto Chinatown is not as good as Vancouver or San Francisco but we still enjoyed it. You could tell the guide enjoyed talking about his city.

I was part of a very small group of two solo travellers, together with our guide, Robert, who was extremely knowledgeable and good fun. The tour covered a brief history of the area generally, street art, eateries, shops, buildings, people and places. Would very much recommend.

My boyfriend and I took this trip as a weekend date/getting to know our city better trip (We're both familiar with the city). Mike was our tour guide, and was funny, personable, and knowledgeable. He did warn us that he never shut up, but considering I wasn't in the mood to chatter and was in the mood to learn, he was the perfect tour guide. I'm a history buff, and he still managed to teach me something about the city, which was exactly what I was in the mood for.

The one piece of advice I would give is bring hand sanitizer if you're squeamish - lots of snacking is about to happen.

Wow. Robert did a phenomenal job showing us this area. He spent a lot of time explaining the history of this community. All of our questions were answered in a very conversational format. A very u usual area which we would have missed a lot were it not for his informative and detailed talk. Thank you for your recommendation for lunch. The snack stops were very much appreciated.

Carlos has been a fantastic guide, he has given us many explanations and anecdotes throughout the tour we have done. It is important to know all the neighborhoods of the city. Carlos has made it very enjoyable, he is very friendly and pleasant.
I recommend taking this excursion and if it is with Carlos as a guide, even better.

We did both the Kensington Market and St. Lawrence Market tours with Jason. This will sound like a broken record but I will say it anyway, it is an outstanding use of your time in Toronto. Jason loves his job and is very knowledgeable. Please don’t plan on eating before or after the tour of the St. Lawrence Market. Excellent intro into Canadian food. I will say that, despite National Geographic’s claim, its not the best marketplace. But is is worth the tour. If I had to chose between the tours of Kensington Market (a neighborhood, not a market) or St. Lawrence Market, I would chose the Kensington Market tour. Not really a food tour (you will sample at a couple of places) but a very interesting walk through a fascinating neighborhood.
