- Meiskhaa00Amazing Experience!!!!!Was such an amazing experience and would do it again. My partner even got to help hoist the sails. Drinks on board were a little pricey but I mean, I get it. The price for the experience wasn't that bad though. All of it was amazing. They should try and make it a bigger adventure in the future, like further out of the dock and into the water. Now that would be epic!!!!!
- shuvz202300Exceelent eveningSaw the beautiful Toronto skyline in the evening time. It was a great time in a pirate ship, and great event for taking snapshots.
- Bazinarrow00Fun ExperienceWe had a great time on this tall ship. The crew was so fun and made an interactive experience. My partner was able to help the crew lift the sails. We went as a couple but would definitely bring the kids next time.
- karizmatic0700Kajama the black beauty tall shipKajama the black beauty tall ship who has survived loads of battles. It travelled across oceans to give us ride of a beautiful scenic view of Toronto from the lake side, especially when the sun is setting down from the distance gradually seems like sun is submerging in the water.
- jimb246800Stuck on a boatNot really my cup of tea. Your basically stuck on a boat with vague history and just a view of the Toronto skyline which you can get from the Toronto Ferry.
- Gail F00disappointed with everythingMy husband and I booked a dinner cruise in Brockville on September 1/2019. Cost was 85.00 each. We were sitting down stairs which was nicely set up tables with table cloths. What we were to get for 85 dollars was appetizers to start...(got none..no one came down stairs) the Buffet was limited..not at all what the menu stated. A buffet is you can serve yourself..not the case. I received very little and when I asked for more I was told no but I was welcomed to come back at the end. I did wait but being downstairs there was no anouncement for seconds. I never have left a review before so I am sorry if this sounds stupid. The boat was very packed with people having no place to sit so they could eat. Huge disappoinment for 160.00...could have much more with my money...oh yes if you wanted something to drink you paid for that too. Oh well live and learn. I wish I had a review like this one to read before booking tickets.
- Batnaby00Dinner on board the Empire SandyHad a fantastic time cruising on the Empire Sandy in Brockville. Went for the dinner cruise. The food was fabulous. I don't know how they prepared such delicious fresh food on board a ship! Not everyone had a seat at the tables below decks so I actually sat on the deck but I am fairly able and flexible so not a problem for me. The stars were amazi g! The sunset beautiful. Crew were very friendly and professional. DJ was entertaining. It's lovely to sail along the river to music. It's also fascinating to see the workings of these old ships. I'll be there next time!! I'm
- Natalie H00Birthday treatBought the tickets online and managed to get a discount through Groupon. The trip on the Kajama was for my friend's surprise 30th birthday. The ship was sold out, but it wasn't cramped. Such a great afternoon out and it was a lovely a hot day. There's a bar and food on board to purchase (they take credit card). It's a great way to see the city skyline. I would definitely do it again and try to book the sunset sail, as it sells out far in advance.
- Felipe S00Great ExperienceWent with a group of 9 people, the whole experience was great, we took the 3 pm tour so it wasn't that busy and the food was way better than we expected, it was actually pretty good for a good price! Thanks, Felipe S.
- Digby H00Most Enjoyabe and RefreshingWe five arrived at the last minute, booked and received email. Were boarded and had seats moments before departure. Beautiful and warm with a refreshing breeze to bring the wind through your hair and introduce the scent of fresh great lake water to your nostrils. The sails were run up the masts accenting the vista and the majesty of the experience. We caught the full sunset and the shore-light experience of Toronto, all from a vessel known as a Tall Ship.
- julianm85700"pirate ship"A lovely trip around the harbour, and my grandchildren loved it, we told them it was a pirate ship and they dressed accordingly! Thoroughly recommend, and the crew were lovely.
- Go2681480189200Way better than the crappy roast-beef-dinner cruises.Everything was perfect: 1. Crew was awesome. 2. Ship had character. 3. Cruise style: light and casual bar and food service, as opposed to a 2-star sit-down roast-beef buffet on the other cruises (been there.... numerous times - so I can say it with confidence) Only thing I wish that happened is that the cruise was longer and to a better location. This is why 4 out of 5 stars. Our cruise went out for 30min towards the east end (not far enough to clear the islands), then turned around and went back the same way. 60min total. Quite boring in terms of view. I would have gladly paid 50%, or 100% more, for a 50% longer cruise to a more interesting end of the islands.... But all in all - I would recommend.
- sfk23201900Nice surpriseWe wanted to go on the cruise that serves dinner but they were all booked for the long weekend we were there, so we took this tallship instead. It turned out we enjoyed this one much more than the dinner cruise because you are out in the open and right by the water all the time. The dining room of a dinner cruise is served inside so you have to go to the outside deck to be in the open. If you manage to grab the patio chairs on the side, you can sit comfortably by the water throughout the cruise. It's a bonus for older people who can't stand for too long.
- francinekorczynski00Enjoyable experienceBeer cold, staff helpful and entertaining, tarp keep us out of the sun and wonderful views of Toronto. Our Polish guests as well as ourselves throughly enjoyed the entire experience.

The cruise itself was very nice. A nice view of the city from the water. We were on the 7 pm cruise so we saw the view during the day and at night, I would highly recommend going at that time, if you go. .What I didn't like was the seating and the overall look of the deck. Your paying to go on a tall ship not just any cruise. The seating was bench seating where most ppl were facing inwards not out over looking the water. We unfortunately got stuck sitting in a plastic lawn chair facing the back of the ship. As for the deck I was expecting it to look.. well ..more like a tall ship. They did explain that is was gutted and renovated. They seemed to put more thought into how many ppl they can get on the ship at one time rather than the experience the passengers will have. It's a shame because we were so looking forward to having a real tall ship sailing experience and all we got was a nice view of Toronto that cost more than any other cruise.

Amazing experience for such a great price. The food was also good and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly. The boat was pretty open. You have enough room to move around and take photos with all the different views. The ride duration was long and satisfying. My husband and I chose the 7:30 time slot and it was perfect because we got to experience the sunset and the Toronto skyline at night. A perfect romantic night 🥰

This experience was ok. We got on the boat (was properly distanced for COVID precautions). Left the dock, went to east side of Ward Island and back. Nothing overly exciting and no interaction with staff except to order a soft drink.
The experience would have been better if there was some education on Tall ships, history or landscape of Toronto, what the staff were doing with the sails etc - none of that happened. It just seemed like the staff were in a hurry to go through the motions - get people on, do the short trip and get people off.

Thank you for your your review and for sailing on our 1 and 1/2 hour cruise on Kajama- which is more of sailing experience than a guided tour as advertised on our website.

Staff was friendly. Drinks were good but overpriced. Food wasn’t very good at all. I understand that it is a boat not a restaurant but when charging those sort of prices you expect half decent food. The cruise around Toronto island was lovely however and I would still recommend doing this.

The good stuff: Nice weather. The rains were coming as it was cloudy, but it never rained. Nice short ride. Worth the price.
There was food but none of the ppl in my group took apart of it, we did NJoy the drinks! It was cool to help set the mast. The was really fun and a lot of ppl assisted. The best part was when the boat ride was ending, the crew put on popular music and we danced and danced until we docked and then we danced our way off the boat! So cool.
Not really good stuff: Didn’t understand why the crew sanged a song about something/some lady. It wasn’t entertaining. The crew just seemed uninterested. I was looking around at other folk and they mostly had the same expressionless face as my self and my group of friends. The garbage cans were smelly although the trash bags were empty. We asked the crew to change the cans, they moved the cans to the other side of the boat but with wind blowing, it was just an awful stench.

The ship was nice, and people running the cruise were great. However, we really did not sail with a majority of the power coming from its engine not the wind. Also, did not leave the bay and for 10 minutes we did not move before turning around. Lastly, sunset cruise is not worth the extra money because you really can’t see the sunset because we stayed in the bay. I expected some real sailing, at least exit the bay so we could see the sunset.

We took the 19.30 sailing, and it was a really great experience. The views of Toronto and the harbour were amazing and we came in to dock just as the lights were going on at the CN Tower. The crew were amazing, and even sing a sea shanty 😁!
It may be a warm day but when you are out on the lake it does get cooler, so remember to take a sweater or jacket.

I bought my tickets online and got charged twice for my trip when I called to cancel instead of refunding one of the transaction, I got charged again. Not willing to refund the 2 transactions now. If it was not for my friends birthday plan I would have never gone on any of their trips. Do not recommend it to anyone and do not buy their tickets online or be prepared to be scammed!

We did an evening Cruise on the tall Ship Kajama. The Tour was nice, got some great pictures of Toronto islands and the city as the sun was setting. Crew was friendly and encouraged people to get involved putting up and down the sails. My disappointment was with how disorganized the bar staff were. We had prepaid for a beer bucket, when we went to get it there was no choice of beverage, just handed us a bucket of Corona. I questioned if there were different choices, and was told no, this is what you get. This is not stated anywhere on the website when you preorder. I was told to see the staff person at the kiosk when we got off the boat for a refund. when we got back onshore the kiosk was closed. I have emailed the tour company with my concerns, and have yet to hear back.

The day of our trip was very busy due to highway closure. I wasn't sure if we were going to make it, so I kept calling the booking number and the guide assured me that I can re-book my tickets for a nominal fee. This was very comforting. However, the roads opened up and we were able to make it, one minute before the Kajama set sail. My grandchildren were quite happy. Being last in had an advantage, as my granddaughters were near the sailing hoist. They were able to experience the pull of the sail. The canon half way through was quite the bang. The music was great and the food offered looked enticing. The sail around the Toronto Harbourfront was a nice and pleasant experience. Smooth sail.
Great family fun!!!
