    Outstanding tour and marvelous guide!
This tour is a must for visitors to Toronto. Our guide, Kieran, was outstanding. We have been on several private tours, but never had the delightful and engaging conversation we had with Kieran. His intelligence and dry sense of humor made the tour even more fun. The walking portion of the tour is short, but pleasant. You see green space along with interesting architecture. We heard many intriguing historical facts along with very tasting some fantastic treats! Each item we tried was delectable and it was difficult to find a favorite. The St. Lawrence Market is such a cool place to find fabulous food, a multitude of sweets and unique souvenirs. We will definitely visit the market on our next visit to the city.

Interesting and fun. Lots to see!
I was part of a very small group of two solo travellers, together with our guide, Robert, who was extremely knowledgeable and good fun. The tour covered a brief history of the area generally, street art, eateries, shops, buildings, people and places. Would very much recommend.

    Fascinating tour
Michelle did a great job of showing us around this interesting area. She covered everything from history to graffiti. And the food stops were delicious. I learned a lot and was thoroughly entertained.

Great way to get to know some neighborhoods outside downtown.
Great overview of the history and culture of two great Toronto neighborhoods. Kieran was very well informed and seemed to tailor the tour to our interests.

    Lots of food
This was one of the best food tours we have taken. Our guide was very informative and took us to out of the way places for a real Canadian food experience. We went to the St. Lawerance and the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Well worth taking.

Try to book with Jason - he’s the best!!
My daughter and I did the tour of St Lawrence market with Jason and agreed he was one of the very best tour guides we’ve ever had. Fun, funny, incredibly knowledgeable and chock full of terrific local stories, he made 3 delicious hours fly by! Among the tastings? Apple cake, bagels, blintzes, pierogis, Nanaimo bars, peameal bacon sandwich with maple mustard and more! We were stuffed by the end and knew so much more about Toronto. Highly recommend!!!!

    A great tour.
Wow. Robert did a phenomenal job showing us this area. He spent a lot of time explaining the history of this community. All of our questions were answered in a very conversational format. A very u usual area which we would have missed a lot were it not for his informative and detailed talk. Thank you for your recommendation for lunch. The snack stops were very much appreciated.

Great tour with lots of great info about the ever-evolving immigrant culture experience in a fresh, modern perspective
We had a great time learning about Chinatown (and eating!) and shopping our way through the immigrant experience in the Kensington Market area. Jason was very knowledgeable, very patient, and had lots of little fun facts to share. Would highly recommend as a private tour and I assume in a group tour setting as well.

    An original Mother's Day Gift.
My daughter in law took myself and her mother on the tour today for our mothersday gift. Taylor, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the market's history and very personable. We enjoyed the whole experience and came home very satisfied with our outing and planning where to go next time.

If your going to have a beer tour who better to host than a beer lecturer, or a beer writer or an international beer judge - we’ll Jordan was all three and a great raconteur to boot!!

About 11 people on our tour, a large family, 2 couples and a solo traveller - all from various parts of the world and it was great to chat to them all during the tour - all very relaxed.

Walked from Hockey Hall of Fame to the Distillery District taking in 3 bars along the way. Jordan’s knowledge of the various ales on offer was superb and he gave some great recommendations based upon various tastes. Each of the bars were very different giving a great x-sectional flavour of the beer vibe in Vancouver (we loved Betty’s - some great live music out back) all tied together with their offering of a multitude of craft beers!!

Along the way Jordan would stop and give some commentary on both significant historical landmarks and some bits of entertaining trivia. Had a brief stop at Lawrence Food Market too which was another attack on the senses - we took a tip from Jordan and bought a couple of namaimo bars (cake) from one of the bakery’s - fantastic!!

At the end of the tour we got a few tips from Jordan to take in a couple of bars on the walk back - which we duly acted upon!!

So in summary a fantastic experience with a truly passionate guide - a great afternoon, evening, night!! TOP TIP - do not expand this trip if you have an early flight the next morning………………😵😵😵

A nice way to get out and see some of the city sites and visit some nice bars and beers. Cydney was our tour guide and she was friendly and knowledgeable about Toronto and the surrounding area. She knew her history and really gave us an appreciation of Toronto and its past.

The cost of the tour was well worth the money and a good value. The beer was not expensive at the two bars visited and at the last stop the beer was complementary. If your from the US as I was the cost was additional 25% lower than stated just because of the exchange difference

I enjoyed the trip and would encourage others to take this tour as well

Thanks for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed having Cydney as your guide - we think she's pretty swell too! I hope you come back to visit us again - we've got some new tours in the works - and I hope the exchange rate continues to work in your favour when visiting Canada.... at least until I decide it's time to visit my friends in New York and California that is. ;-)

We had just got off the plane from a long 24 hour trip from Australia, so were keen to learn about the city we had no idea about. Mike was a fantastic guide and knew his history and recommended great beer. I appreciated the walks between drinks, and loved that we got to see a variety of places. This was such a marvellous way to explore a new city and even make new friends! I'd recommend this to not only overseas travellers but to local Torontonians - the city is so rich with different perspectives of history. (And appreciate the inclusion of Native history as well!). We had the best time!

This was a really fun way to discover and explore parts of Toronto that we had not thought to see etc. Really enjoyed the walking and discussion with our tour guide. it was VERY hot the day we took out tour but stopping off for beer refreshments kept us going. Got to see the markets and distillery district which we had not been aware of!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and energetic! But the group was way to big for everyone to hear or see the sites. I wish it would include more tastings, as we had a chocolate one and beer tasting that was free to try as walk in.

I'm happy you enjoyed the tour guide, but I don't understand how you found the group to be too large since our maximum group size for this tour is 12 guests with an average of about 7 per tour. This tour includes 2 beers, a snack, and a beer tasting at the final brew pub. We could include more beer, but the cost would go up significantly, and it would be more affordable for guests to just purchase more beer if they aren't satisfied with one beer per stop. Not everyone wants to drink heavily on a beer history walking tour, so we include what we feel is a reasonable amount that anyone would drink.

Tour guide Jordan has tremendous knowledge of the history of Toronto and the progress of both beer and distilleries. He guided us through the "old city" stopping often to expand on the activities of notables and the locales of various events. We casually mentioned we had stopped at St. Lawrence market the day before, so he called an audible and we diverted to the old banking district for a "substitute" route toward the distillery area.

We stopped at 3 local breweries/pubs, all unique, colorful, and had a wide variety of beers from which to choose. We deferred to Jordan's expertise and had him choose our "flights". NOT disappointed!! Hint, nachos @ Betty's are GREAT!!

4 hours of leisurely walking, talking, learning, and relaxing. Time and money well spent.

It was this first time from me in Canada. I always go to tours when I'm visiting a new place. Sometimes walking tours and sometimes hop and hop off.
I decided to do the beer tour after I had good expirence with them in other cities.
Mike was our guide and he was fantastic tour guide. He had good knowledge about history of Canada and Toronto and gave us great local tips about everything we wanted to know. We went to three really good craft beer bars and the beers were all really good. You can order every style you can think of. Ipa, wheat, lager, stout, sour you name it.
Mike had good knowledge about the beers and helped us find beers that fit our style we liked.
We heard some great and interesting facts about Toronto I gotta say again Mike did excellent job of being a insightful and funny guide.
Me and my brother loved the tour and the beers and getting all this extra knowledge from the guide was the icing on the cake.
Thank you again Mike!

Mike was engaging, knowledgable and funny throughout. He really made this British guy feel right at home.
I got to learn a little about Toronto, and drink a lot of beer!
The group got along really well and I had a fantastic time...excluding the following morning!

I booked this tour for my husband and myself to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. I am so glad I did! Our tour guide, Mike, delivered a lot of interesting factoids about Old Toronto. He made sure everyone in our group felt welcomed and included. We visited some interesting pubs that I have walked by numerous times yet never ventured into! Mike is a hospitable host. We came away from the tour a little more knowledgable and smiling from the great time we had. I recommend this tour and give thanks to Mike for an enjoyable afternoon!
