We were a group of seven adults and we learned so much about the history of Toronto, banking and prohibition. - tomgc570 contributionsGreat tour in December, and any timeGreat introduction to this area in Toronto. Nicole was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide who easily answered our tricky questions. She made the tour one of the highlights of our trip to Toronto. And because we were there in December we got the full Christmas Market experience - a special treat. Only caution is to double check the times direct with the Go Tours folks - we arrived at the nominated time but it didn't march the Go Tours hours. The company was fantastic at accommodating us at no notice. And did I mention before how wonderful Nicole was?Written December 2, 2024

- G4198ZVzacharyt0 contributionsGreat informative tourDevon led us on a great tour through the distillery district and was eager to answer our questions. There were hidden details in the District that were pointed out which was great (things you wouldn't notice on your own), and great advice on how to make the most of a day in the area. Only reason for four stars is the tour was only an hour long.Written September 17, 2024
- rem8680 contributionsInformative and interesting small group walking tourGreat walking tour with just one other couple. Devin was a great guide, friendly and informative (especially for those of us with no knowledge of Canadian history). We were in the area just before the start of a tour, and were able to purchase and join on the spot. Also happened to be a Whisky Fest on that day, so Devin filled us in on that as well.Written September 10, 2024

Our guide Nicole was awesome! Very knowledgeable about the grounds history, very patient with my wife lol, and was very concerning for our safety as well as insuring we enjoyed ourselves! We booked a 30 min Tour but she went well over and never did it feel rushed! You'll be in good hands with Nicole as your guide! 😊

this was an amazing experience. i had been on a segway tour in the past in a different city, but this toronto one was great. shout out to nicole, who was not only knowledgeable about everything around the distillery district, but an excellent tour guide overall. she made the entire experience extra special. i would highly recommend this to anyone who’s curious about the area and especially those who’ve never been on a segway. i would definitely do it again.

Learning the Segue was not as hard as you might think, once you realize it’s just subtle shifting of weight. After a while it almost feels like you just need to think of a direction and you go there.
The grounds were very conducive to learning and riding, although maybe a busy Saturday might be tougher with higher pedestrian traffic.
One of the best parts was our tour guide Maryam, who had a real interest in sharing the history of the grounds. She tailored the tour to our level of interest and wasn’t just reciting memorized facts. Very interactive.
An all around great experience!

My husband, 22 year old daughter and I went on a rainy afternoon. Riding the Segways was a blast! We really enjoyed the experience.
Erik our tour guide was a lot of fun and knows an insane amount of information:) Jason, our trainer, was super patient and calm which made the training pretty smooth! Another staff member trained our daughter and he was great too! Such friendly and patient staff - excellent customer service.
We had never been in the distillery district before and it was a fun way to see such an interesting area of the city. Highly recommended!!

Comfort riding the Segways is one of our top priorities! Hope you didn't get too wet, and glad you had a fun time with Milo regardless! We'd love to take you through the distillery again!

My wife and I loved this tour. Nicole was very knowledgeable about the history of the area which was super interesting for us. We’ve both ridden self balancing devices before so it wasn’t too difficult for us to maneuver the Segways. Regardless, Nicole gave us a solid training at the beginning which was a great refresher. It’s a really fun activity in general and gets you to learn something you probably didn’t know, so I highly recommend it

My husband and I had a great time with Nicole. She is so friendly with a great personality and told us some really interesting facts about the history of the Distillery district. She also pointed out some nice bars and restaurants in the area as well as told us about some of the movies filmed in the area. I would definitely recommend this tour for a quick Segway and sight seeing with a guide of this old historic area of Toronto.

The Segway was very easy to learn. The staff took good care of explaining how it operated including a small training/test ride before heading out.
When their caption says "educational and entertaining" they weren't kidding. Our guide was very enthusiastic and passionate when discussing the distillery heritage. Unfortunately we spent way more time stopping and listening to him talk then actually riding the Segway which for us was disappointing.

Great tour from David at Go Tours throughout the Toronto Distillery District. Nicely informative tour leaving our group a little more educated of the areas history. Fun for an afternoon (or if you're playing tourist).
No one in our group had experience on a Segway but they're incredibly easy to learn. We all felt very confident driving them around even in the crowds. Go Tours team gives everyone some one on one operational training before starting the tour. They also provide helmets. Definitely recommend wearing thick gloves if riding in the winter months like we did.
Overall a great experience!

Very enjoyable tour through the beautiful Distillery District. I have lived in Toronto my whole life and still learned new things about the city from our guide, Nicole. Our family of three visited on a rainy day but the Segways were still easy to use and the staff gave us a good orientation before we got underway. We are looking forward to trying another one of their tours.

Allyson - we do our best to dig up real Toronto history that few have ever heard. We're glad you enjoyed your tour even if it wasn't the sunniest of days. Thanks for joining us and we can't wait to see the 3 of you again!

Is it possible for an adult and a teen to ride on a Segway together? My teen is under 100 lbs.

one person from our group does not know how to run bicycle; does it correlate to segway?
Written September 5, 2018
No, not at all. They teach you how to use the Segway’s before your tour, it isn’t like a bike at all!
