About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Travelozzy0 contributionsFun and interesting- even for a hockey newbie!I’m not a well versed hockey fan, I mean i know who Gretzky and Tim Horton are but that’s about it, but the family love the game and wanted to visit, so I happily came along. I found it really interesting and very cool! Even I came over a bit ‘fan girl’ when we got to pose with the Stanley cup! Brilliant insight into Canada’s national sport - definitely worth an hour or so of your time and great value too.Written January 9, 2025
- joshk5400 contributionsHockey hall of fame TOR90 hockey players exhibition. Interactive hockey shoot game with hit ratings and speed rating. Must stop visit in Toronto.Written December 20, 2024
- GattoViziato0 contributionsThe best hockey museumA must for any hockey fan. This is a really thorough, clean, and well kept museum. Buying tickets was extremely easy, finding the entrance required asking a few people and following the signs. All of the displays have really well written verbiage and everything was spotless. A map would have been very helpful to find our way around. There are so many rooms dedicated to different generations of hockey and how the sport has evolved. So many well decorated hockey stars are memorialized here with mementos of their gear displayed with their write ups and pictures. Seeing The Stanley Cup was obviously a highlight. They have 2 cups that they rotate between the winning team and the museum. Lord Stanley's vault was very special. We even watched the 3D movie, which the kids loved, and was very well done. Their gift shop is well stocked with something for everyone.Written November 7, 2024
- P9553CCangelac0 contributionsAll Hockey - All the TimeSuch an amazing place. So many things to see. So much history. Even if you are not a fan of hockey, the place has so much to read and learn about all the years of hockey and all the players. You can spend several hours here and still not be bored! I loved the whole area with the mascots and the helmets. Astounding! The Tim Hortons in the mall has a bunch of stuff to see too so don't miss it. The entrance is behind the escalator BTW... The gift shop has SOOO much. Oh and get the souvenir book when you come in. Its $5 and you can give it to someone as a souvenir!Written September 10, 2024
- MichaelKohn10 contributionsHockey HistoryThe hockey hall of fame is a "must"; not just for hockey fans but for history buffs as well. This place is sort of "hidden" in the lower level of a building in downtown Toronto but you must go. Trophies, sweaters (jerseys) interactive games, histories of players--you name it-it's here.Written July 31, 2024
- Jbro11860 contributionsCool museum! The Hockey Hall of Fame is a great museum dedicated to Hockey in Toronto, Canada. It is also home to the Stanley cup! The Hockey Hall of Fame also has Olympic jerseys, original hockey gear from the early 20th century, championship rings, and trophies galore! I highly recommend coming here!Written July 14, 2024
- MeghanM9430 contributionsGreat Experience for Hockey Fans!We had a great afternoon at the Hockey Hall of Fame! Tickets were so easy because I could buy them ahead of time and then use them on any day of our trip. It is a well laid out museum with great exhibits! The staff was friendly, especially the guy who took our Stanley Cup picture!Written July 4, 2024
- keithk8370 contributionsGreat Sporting MuseumThe Hockey Hall of Fame is not just a must for all Ice Hockey Fans, its an interesting museum documenting the full history of the sport, all inductees of the Hall of Fame are covered by photos and information of their part in Ice Hockey. Most of the Hall of Fame is dedicated to North America however there is a section covering the leagues & players outside of North America and including a section on the Winter Olympics.Written June 8, 2024
- beerwriter0 contributionsLong-Time Hockey Fan NirvanaExtensive collection of historic hockey artifacts, displayed in a somewhat disjointed manner. Home to hockey's "holy grail" the Stanley Cup and other trophies; "The Cup" is kept outside a case for fans to touch and be photographed with.Written May 21, 2024
- Tom M0 contributionsVisit to the Hockey Hall of FameIf you're a hockey fan, this is a must!!! Well worth the price of admission!. The exhibits are impressive, and you relieve the history of hockey. To see the trophies, the Stanley Cup. Impressive!! A must! The interactive shooting simulators are awesome.Written January 14, 2024
- Zach534490 contributionsMust do for any hockey fanatic!I was in Toronto recently with my wife and we stopped by the HHOF. Amazing! So many items that were part of history in relation to milestones and achievements made by current players and hockey legends alike! Try out your hand at stopping NHL players as a goalie or sniping one past a goaltender. You can do both! But don’t be fooled, even if you’re a goaltender, it’s not easy as it is designed to snipe the corners of the net. Also, lord Stanley’s cup is also there on display to take as many pictures of it as you’d like! Following up the experience is the gift shop, which is every NHL fans dream! Pro tip - purchase tickets online in advance and save 10% in the store. Trust me, you want to do this! 100/10 experience! Must do for hockey aficionados!Written December 31, 2023
- PhilipLeic0 contributionsGood if you like ice hockey!Firstly, it took us ages to find the actual main entrance, signage could be better. On ticket prices; on many museums, etc, in Canada there is a concession for disabled visitors but not here. However, my son, who is mad on hockey loved the visit, I was a little more lukewarm. It was interesting to see the Stanley cup, etc, but for me it was just masses of kit and trophies, but what did I expect? He also enjoyed the interactive games, especially being in goal. There is a large shop on the exit to the museum. So as I said in my title, good if you like ice hocky!Written November 29, 2023
- MikeyJ4200 contributionsAn obvious must-do for hockey fansThis is an obvious must-do for any hockey fan. The most amazing hockey memorabilia, fun interactive games, and just so much to see and look at. So incredible seeing so much hockey history in one building. I took my fiance here for her first time and she had a blast! If I had to pick a best time to go it would be a weekday around 1:30 or 2:00 because school trips will later to end at that time and 3 hours is lots of time to look at everything it has to offerWritten November 20, 2023
- Yeti19880 contributionsAmazing! Whether you're new to hockey, have no knowledge of the sport, or are a walking book of hockey trivia, there's somethingAt first, this museum appears to be rather unassuming. The entrance is located inside of a bustling shopping mall, and it would be easy to pass it by. However, once inside, the sheer amount of items on display is enough to rival any other museum in the country! They have old pucks, sweaters, game-used sticks, trophies, etc. Some of the items date as far back as the Original Six! This museum details the beginnings of the league, it's many attempts at expansion, the transition of it being a solely North American sport to one that is recognized all over the World, and the dynasties that have shaped the league. I was hardly expecting what I found when I walked inside. Do yourself a favor, carve out at LEAST 2 hours on any given day and head to this amazing establishment!Written October 21, 2023
- D3967RWmarkf0 contributionsAmazing visitPersuaded my wife to pay a visit - she isn't a hockey fan- and even she thought it was value for money. Plenty to see and do, plus amazing to be close to some of my heroes jerseys Etc. Was even able to take a few shots at a net, which was a lot of fun. The staff member who was with the Stanley Cup was a really nice guy and clearly knew his stuff. He was happy to answer all our questions and suggested a few things to look out for. Really enjoyed our visit and would recommend to anyoneWritten October 21, 2023

This place is huge! It has a ton of information about hockey, the NHL and even houses The Stanley Cup! I recommend going in the morning as soon as it opens so you have the place to yourself and a handful of other guests. You can see the museum at your own pace and can take time wondering through the exhibits.

Being a lifelong dream to visit the HHOF, I was looking forward to this so much, and it finally happended.
It is not nearly as big as I thought it would be, but they do have millions of things in here. I see a future where they may have to alter some rooms, especially the Gretksy/Howe area, with Ovechkin crowding his way in. I had no idea that hockey was played in so many countries all over the world. The jersey display was both amazing and educational in the aspect.
I like that they have displayed an area dedicated to my favorite team, The Montreal Canadiens. But they also have extensive info on many other teams as well. I went as soon as it opened, which allowed for viewing without crowds for over two hours, when other people begin arriving. I would recomment that to others. And buy your pass online. Get a discount and have it all ready before you arrive.
One of the Cups is always in-house, so you can get your photo taken with it. Not certain if you are allowed to hoist it over your head, but with the reverance I have for it anyways, not sure I would deserve to do so. That privilege is certainly reserved for those who have won it. Even active players who haven't won it never touch it.
An experience I will never forget.

Whether you're a hockey fan or not, this is a fantastic spot to learn about the history of the sport!
As a hockey playing family, it was a must-see while visiting Toronto. My husband and I had been without the kids a few years ago, but watching our kids discover and play at the Hall of Fame was even better.
There's a fantastic variety of information about many different aspects of the game. The kids had a great time at the interactive activities and this added to the overall experience.
The history of this sport in our country is so very fascinating and they've done a tremendous job of showing the evolution of the game all while adding exhibits to highlight historic details that have evolved over the years or topics that deserved a mention (such as women in hockey, indigenous players and their contribution and experiences, the game during the pandemic, etc. )
Everyone leaves this place having learned something!

I bought tickets online and when I got to the HHOF the attendants were not able to read my digital ticket. Then they did the number input by hand and still could not recognize the tickets. We were allowed to enter but this caused a line-up. I hope someone can explain why there was a problem.
We enjoyed the Hall of Fame and don't think this was their problem.

Today my family went to the hockey hall of fame. It was very cool. There were many activities for my kids to do. However, before we went, I had heard many people talking about how good the goalie game was. When we got there, though, even my son who is a goalie could not make one save. There was a shooter version that worked just fine. All in all, I think it was a pretty great experience for my kids, my wife, and I. I just wish there weren’t so many broken or impossible activities to do.

If you love hockey, you should visit. It is great for children and adults alike. There is a 3D movie that is free, hand on activities like sports broadcast and skill activities. The collection includes pieces from many different levels of hockey. They original Stanley cup is kept there along with the bands that are removed.

The outside of the building makes it seem as though it is huge, however the actual HHOF is located in the basement... in a huge food court? I thought this was strange, but I digress. Once inside, you are surrounded by many pieces of awesome hockey memorabilia and history. It took about an hour for me to walk through, I did not intently read every single exhibit. As an Ovechkin fan, I hope to see a chase to Gretzky's record exhibit eventually, or some sort of respect for moving into 2nd all time in goals!

As a big ice hockey fan, this was and is for me a highlight of a trip. However it should be said that this is a very well set up museum to the game. From explanations of how things are now to the greats of years gone by (the Gretzky/Howe exhibition was on when we went) there's a bit of something for someone with no idea about the sport to the hardened fan like myself.
The interactive games were fun (albeit taking a puck to the chest was a surprise, a save is a save I suppose) to the wall of goalie masks to the Grand Hall with all the NHL's trophies, I enjoyed myself thoroughly here. I can't pretend that I don't have a bias but my wife and son who aren't massive hockey fans enjoyed themselves too.
Recommendation: the entrance to the Hall of Fame is in the basement of the building, on the floor above by the shop is a Tim Hortons that does a Hall of Fame doughnut. Get that for a fun little treat.

We visited this place on June 27. After paying the entrance fee, you will receive a stamp on your hand. So you can get out and get back in again. We are not hockey fans, but we were able to appreciate the exhibits. The 3D movie was fun, but most people will love the ability to shoot at a goal or play goaltender and try to stop a hockey player's shot. The Stanley cup in the vault and Great Hall on the second floor are not to be missed.

Too bad the façade was in renovations for our visit. Other than that this is a must must for hockey fans. You get a bit of everything here. Hockey history including international hockey. Plenty of information and stories about NHL teams, players on spotlight, the Stanley Cup and the trophies, as well as all the inductee profiles. There's also an interactive area, where you can play as a goalie or a shooter (for shooting make sure to wait for the Go on the screen), broadcasting or old-fashioned table hockey for $2. You also have some history of hockey cards and goalie masks, including displays of different masks throughout history. There's also a look at all NHL affiliates (a few corrections are needed, like Abbotsford for Vancouver, but affiliates constantly change). There's even a Montreal Canadiens locker room set-up for some nice photos and hockey history. So much to offer. And the gift shop, accessible even for non-visitors, if full of goodies, and ready to empty your wallet.

No admission tickets are available in August 2023. Is that because you're all sold-out, or because it is too early to order on-line? If it's too early, we'd greatly appreciate your informing us when tickets will be available for the last week in August.
Thank You. Ken
