- 1Tasty Tours was one of the first to offer food tours of the Kensington Market area, and we’ve been running tours in this neighbourhood for over 10 years now. Kensington Market and it’s neighbouring Chinatown was a natural choice for us to choose for a food tour, as it truly reflects the spirit of Toronto as one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Chinese, Mexican, Canadian…you name it, you can find it here. Kensington Market is an interesting area to visit because it has managed to retain its immigrant, working-class culture in the face of rampant gentrification. As you stroll down the streets of Kensington, you will notice that unlike most other neighbourhoods in Toronto, there is a surprising lack of large corporations in the neighbourhood.

- Discover359262583500 contributionsA really fun and filling tour!!This tour is an experience that has it all if you're looking for something to do while in Toronto, whether you are a tourist or local. I learnt so much about Toronto and experience the many cultures that shapes the city through the wonderful food that Brian introduced us. He was a wonderful tour guide that taught us so much information about the city while making it interesting with fun facts while having a warm personality. I had so much fun learning about the city and sampling different cuisines. I left with such a full stomach. You definitely get your worth from the tour. This is a must-do experience that I had a pleasure going on.Written November 22, 2023

- hHDLN0 contributionsExploring Toronto's Foodie SceneI had a great time checking out the restaurants while learning more about the history of Toronto. I appreciated how each stop highlighted a different cuisine showcasing Toronto's multiculturalism. We saw some hidden gems that were local hangouts, and learned more about each dish which was quite special. The leisurely walk between our food stops was enjoyable because our tour guide, Damian, did a fantastic job keeping us engaged and answering our questions. The tour was well organized with smooth communication with the tour guide and an easy to find start and drop off location. We were stuffed by the time we got to the final restaurant so I think there is good value for money for the quality and quantity of the food provided. I'd suggest wearing comfortable shoes to walk in. Overall, I'd recommend it for those looking for a fun activity that involves delicious eats, learning fun facts and exploring Toronto's famous sites.Written September 20, 2023
- gbear9720 contributionsGreat mix of food, sightseeing and historyI had been on another excellent tour with this company before, and this one did not disappoint! It was a very interesting variety of food, some street food, some sit-down restaurants, and our guide did a fabulous job of entertaining us with stories about the city and the food! I also loved that we covered so much ground on the tour, which I find less common on food tours as they mostly focus on one neighbourhood. We got to see lots of sights and walk off some calories! Perfect activity for a sunny day in Toronto.Written September 19, 2023
- bbbl050 contributionsBest way to explore Toronto downtown - with good food!My family and I really enjoyed the food tour of Toronto's downtown led by Damian. We got to see some iconic sights of the city and try some delicious and some interesting flavors of food from different corners of the world. - 233maryluzm0 contributionsTerrific Chocolate Tasting ExperienceI took part of a virtual Tasty Tours Toronto craft chocolate tasting on a cold winter's night and this warmed me from head to toe. We enjoyed single estate varietal chocolate bars, tried nibs and some of Canada's best bean-to-bar chocolates from coast to coast. A delicious, worthwhile experience that gives you a sensory experience along with a dose of history and cacao knowledge. Thanks TTT! ML and MarioWritten December 11, 2022
- annayG8449TS0 contributionsReally sweet time for our family party! Our family enjoyed the private virtual chocolate tasting session conducted by Audrey. Leaving us with sweet treats and memories. Audrey sent us a lovely gift box consisting of chocolates that were carefully selected, packaged and delivered to our home address before the session. We learnt the art of chocolate tasting, from the origin of chocolate, raw cacao and sampled a variety of specially crafted chocolates. Also, we learned about the difference between artisan chocolate and mass-market chocolate. Audrey conducted the session professionally with her good knowledge and interaction. Thank you Audrey!Written August 19, 2022
- Clare Y0 contributionsKnow more to appreciate cacao to chocolate :)I did the online Chocolate tour conducted by Audrey. It was well arranged even we were not physically together. Audrey sent us the Tasty Tour chocolate before hand. The tour is both interesting and educational. We have 4 different chocolate from different source and beans. In addition the cacao beans also presented to us in raw - in the form of bean after fermentation. Also bean with shelf removed, crushed and roasted. So basically the tour walk us from the start of the raw materials process differentiating the ethic of the various countries producing the beans, as well as the quality of the cacao beans use by commercial mass produced or specialised source. This make us more aware and now i will look to support fair trade and responsible source. We savour 4 types of chocolate which are from different beans bearing different senses. It is a delightful hour spent. And Audrey can manage well questions from all her participants. Well done Audrey, and Thank You!Written August 14, 2022

It was my first time to experience this type of tour. Experiencing this whole tour is one for the books indeed! It was fun and exciting at the same time since I got the chance to try a variety of diverse food stores in Toronto! I really had a great time enjoying each food samples as I know it changed my perception about the city. This city indeed could offer a lot more (especially it's lockdown) BUT Tasty Tours Toronto made that happen!
MUCH RECOMMENDED TO EVERYBODY!

Kensington Market area was hopping on Saturday, with music, a long line up for a customized hat store, new food offerings every 20 feet, and lots of great people watching.
We went to 6 different restaurants - all different countries' food. The portions were large, several with meat, so we were very full by dessert at the end of the tour. Two of the restaurants had backyard patios, and one had a second-floor dining room with lots of room for distancing so we got to rest during our tour. Our guide, Damian, was a sweetie, always caring about our comfort and with a great sense of humour. Damian was also well-informative about the history of the area. The other 6 people on the tour were a lot of fun too, and I did not feel alone coming by myself. I had a great time and felt that I received great value for my money.

We were looking for a fun family excursion in the city and came across this idea online. My wife and I have lived in Toronto 25 years and never been to Kensington Market. What an experience! Our guide Odile had intimate knowledge of the area that really added to the experience and brought this tiny neighbourhood to life. The food itself was delicious and diverse (not to mention plentiful). I highly recommend this tour and think it's suitable for teens/adults/elderly.

Odile was an incredible tour guide with so much knowledge about the past and present of Toronto cuisine and Kensington Market. I've lived in Toronto my entire life and still found so many hidden food secrets in Kensington. I would 100% recommend this to anyone visiting Toronto or any Torontonian who's looking for a nice foody surprise!

Damian was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable! Also, he gave a lot of information about Kensington Market in general and the food we tasted. I especially loved seeing lots of street art on the tour and getting a great rooftop view of Toronto. The downsides: I wish there had been at least one cold drink and maybe a little fresh food. It was all yummy, but mostly deep fried.

Amazing food tour!!! Damien was so informative and friendly, an excellent guide. The food was incredible. I love the theme of “Taste the World” because we were able to try so many new foods! There was a huge variety and it was difficult choosing my favourite stop. There was also SO much food, we took some home for dinner. Definitely worth the money, especially in terms of how full and satisfied you leave the tour. We had a great time. The group size was intimate, allowing us to become acquainted with the other guests and with Damien. I totally recommend this food tour!!

This was such a delicious tour! Odile, our guide, is so lovely and knowledgeable. She was so kind and is super smart and made the tour that much better.
Also, loved EVERY single place we went to. Coffee at Moonbeam is literally out of this world, Ding Dong pastries are delicious, the Caribbean Corner has some fire patties, Best Istanbul made me realize I actually like pickles, I’ll be drinking butter tea all winter thanks to Tibet Cafe and Bar, and Pancho’s Bakery has churros that are to die for.
Thank you!!! This food tour was amazing!!!!!!!

Our group met Odile on a beautiful day at Moonbean Coffee. We sat on an outdoor patio to sample two coffees and a pastry while she gave us some historical background on this ever-changing neighborhood.
Over the next 2 1/2 hours we strolled several blocks sampling some of the wide variety of wonderful fare available in Kensington as she continued to point out landmarks and give us more of the history of this multicultural area.
Our group ranged in age from 12 to 80 and Odile was attentive to us all.
We left her feeling well cared for and well fed. Highly recommended !

I was gifted this food tour for my birthday, and I really enjoyed it! Our tour guide William made it so fun and was very knowledgeable about the history of Kensington market. He really made it an awesome experience, especially with how he engaged all of the guests in conversation together seamlessly. Needless to say, all of the food was absolutely delicious and I was very satisfied with the range of things we got to try. Highly recommended!

They were very accommodating.

We samples food from five different venues:
Moonbeam cafe (hot and cold brew)
Caribbean Corner (2 different types of "dumplings"
Takoyaki 6ix (empanada)
Tibet Case & Bar (butter tea and two different "dumplings")
Pancho's Bakery (tasty Mexican dessert)
All were very delicious and filling.

It says in the website that your tours are capped at 5 people. We have 6 people in our group -all extended family members. Would that be acceptable?
