- BeaversTravelWell00Five Star ExperienceJusep our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and super friendly. The food was all excellent, very flavourful and unique. If in Toronto I would highly recommend this tour.
- imanullah00Just the right bitThe most important thing the food choices were amazing and every bit was just right and delicious. The tour guide did an excellent job of curating the food and neighborhood. Junsep was very enthusiastic he paced the food stops just right for digestion and savoring each bit. I will definitely do more of his food tours.
- Seaside80287100Food combinations you wouldn't have thought ofKensington Market offered us a look at an area where different cultures got along and thrived. The diverse community offered a unique food tour which combined different cultural foods that for the most part tasted good together. William, the guide, was informative both about the area as well as the food and why the combinations work.
- someplacesfaraway006 restaurants in Kensington MarketThis tour is perfect for a city with many different cultures/foods/people. It was interesting to hear about various cultural influences on the dishes we ate. Overall every dish we tried was yummy, and all the stories that William told us were fascinating.
- 718kkw00Intentional food tour with a twistWe had William as our tour guide, we booked him last minute and ended up almost doing a "private" tour unintentionally with my husband and I. William was very good at answering all of our questions, giving us time to eat and enjoy, and really introducing us to the "fusion" that there is in Kensington market! We loved it and honestly if we had more time I would have gone back to all those places on the tour. Book this tour today you won't regret it, we loved it.
- BoardingPass46339200Great experience! The whole experience with Jessica was great! She's personable, knowledgeable, and very friendly. She was able to give us a bunch of interesting information about the city, the food we were eating, and the restaurants we went to.
- Katrina S00Great way to see Kensington MarketWe had a great time on this tour. William was an excellent tour guide. We were delayed getting to the meeting point, but William and the tour company were accommodating so that we could still meet up with the group and experience most of the tour. The Kensington Market neighborhood was so interesting and vibrant. The food was awesome!
- Gcbonner00Fantastic tourWe had a wonderful tour with William. He was very informative throughout the tour and answered all of our additional questions. Each of the food tasting were delicious. We really enjoyed learning the history behind the food we were eating as well as Kensington Market.
- Scubalo00Great way to explore a new neighborhoodThis was great fun and very informative. Jusep was personable and knowledgeable, and provided many great insights into Toronto and the Kensington Market area. We really enjoyed the fish and chips and the peameal bacon sandwich, and the desserts. Discovered, as we'd suspected, that poutine was not for us, but it was still fun to try. All in all a very enjoyable tour that we'd highly recommend.
- SRF201000Eat your way through Kensington MarketOur host, Jessup (?), was so happy, knowledgeable and informative. He knew so much about the area as well as all the cultures. Not too much food, just right for lunch. Great experience.
- Cheryl B00Fantastic Food TourIt was so interesting to hear the history of the dishes we sampled. The dishes spanned from the east to west coasts of Canada. Loved this tour and I’d highly recommend it!
- 201feliciaa00Get out of the hotel & see TorontoHost was friendly, knowledgeable & engaging. Food was fresh. Got to see a part of Toronto I probably wouldn't if on my own. Would do a tour with him again.
- chefsteve00Great intro to a city I had visited several times!Loved spending 2.5 hours with Jusep, the owner, as our guide through the unique Kensington market neighbourhood! The food choices were superb. Adding rum cask-aged maple syrup to a peameal bacon sandwich was amazing. Nice mix of food, walking, laughs, and history. Able to sit at all sites. Walking was easy.
- kimbA5435YP00Highlight of our tripHad a great tour with William who was professional and gave a wonderful tour teaching us about Toronto while tying it in with enjoyable food. I wasn't sure how this activity would be with kids- but it ended up being the highlight of everyone's trip. A must-do for any trip to Toronto! Thanks!
- MamabearandTdaddy00Loving Toronto FoodWilliam was a phenomenal tour guide. Very informative. We learned what peacrusted bacon was and the why. We had some of the best fish and chips over several providences.

The Kensington Market Food Tour was the best tour I've ever been on! Since I was the only one on the tour with Jusep on a cold January day, I felt like I was in a travel show!! He was an excellent guide to the history of the market, Toronto, and the food that has made it way to different countries and to the market. All of his restaurant and food selections were excellent. I even stepped out of my comfort zone and tried a couple a foods I don't like that much. I would highly recommend anyone to take this tour to get an amazing taste of the Kensington Market and food from around the world!!

Jessica was our guide for this tour and she was amazing. We were laughing, learning, and exploring the culinary selection around Kensington Market in a way we simply could not have on our own. The tour group was small and intimate because of the winter months, but it let us ask lots of questions and really tailor the conversation to what we wanted. I consider myself a picky eater, but I ate every thing that was served, so don't be too afraid! Bon Appetit!

My sister and I decided to take a walking food tour to get a real taste of the diverse foods that Toronto has to offer. I am SO glad that we decided to go with this one!
Jessica was an AMAZING tour guide. She was so personable, friendly, and knowledgeable about the neighborhood and its history. She threw in a lot of tidbits of information and recommendations that really elevated the experience. The fact that our tour group was so small (just 3 total) made it feel almost like a private tour for the two of us.
I've done a few food tours over the years, and I think this one was by far the biggest bang for your buck!! At nearly every stop, we got to sample more than one thing or were given huge portions (or both). And I thoroughly enjoyed all of the foods we got to sample.
I HIGHLY recommend this food tour, especially with Jessica!

This is my 3rd food tour. I love doing it in each city I visit to learn about the people, cuisine and history. I would not have tried these dishes if it had not been for this tour. William was a fantastic guide and kept dropping nuggets of movie knowledge, I highly recommend.

Probably one of the best food tours of my life! and I’ve done many… The food was unique and delicious and the tour guide made it even more magical. I truly learned so much about Toronto during this food tour. The owner (who was our guide) truly showed his passion for this city, the people, and food! I’d recommend this tour to anyone! I hope to do another food tour again with this amazing company and Jusep! Thank you so much for being the highlight of our stay in Toronto!

This was our first food tour and was such a good experience. We were able to sample a good selection of different foods and I was very full by the last stop! Jusep, our guide was extremely clued up about such a wide range of food and culture. The smoked trout bagel and kale salad were definitely my faves!
I would highly recommend to anyone who likes food and is keen to hear a little history too.

We had a great afternoon with founder and guide, Jusep! My partner and I spent 3 hours with 7 other food and culture lovers learning about this gem of a neighborhood through its food offerings. We certainly didn't leave hungry or starving for knowledge. Thanks, Jusep!

This was an awesome tour. So many foods from so many cultures. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because someone on their team dropped the ball with the dietary requests. I specifically choose this tour because it offered pescatarian and vegetarian options. I emailed the operator right after booking saying, " two pescatarians or no beef or pork and one vegetarian."
Thankfully, my vegetarian request was honored but there were 2-3 stops that were beef options. I was very disappointed for my family members that weren't able to experience those stops.
If you have dietary preferences/ restrictions, make sure you get a confirmation they have received your requests.

Jessica was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the area, the history, and immediately felt like family. The food was amazing and it's so wonderful to see a community come together and offer something like this. We would have not experienced Kensington market like this on our own.

We booked the Kensington food tour as a corporate event for 25 people after our busy season. Jessica was an amazing tour guide and provided us with interesting facts about the history of Kensington market. All the tastings were delicious and we were all full by the end of the tour. Thank you Jessica and Jessop!

Hello, I would like to participate in the tour, but I have the following food allergies, could it be adapted so that I could have alternatives to my allergies: sunflower seeds, parsely, celery, mango and pineapple.
I have a lactose intolerance to milk, as well, but other forms of dairy are alright. Thank you,
Cristina

Yes. Just let the guide know your allergies when you book or at the beginning of the tour. There was no lactose items in the food options. There was no mango or pineapple either. I think you will be fine!

Ours started at 11am (needed to be there for 10:45) and ended between 1:30-2:00pm - about 2.5-3 hours total. We also went on a Saturday - not sure about during the week.

Yes. Although some of the restaurants have steps to parts of them, the tour could be adapted to avoid those. And the host is very considerate and could find alternate places to eat or adjust the walking parts.

Does the tour include some low carb diet?

Most of the food on the tour is quite high in carbs. If this is something you are trying to avoid it may be difficult. You can contact the owner to see if accommodations are possible! They do their best to work with you.
