        Ripley's Aquarium of Canada – A Must-Visit in Toronto
If you're in Toronto, I highly recommend visiting Ripley's Aquarium. I went last weekend, and it was absolutely worth it! The underwater tunnel was my favorite part—you get to see sharks, stingrays, and all kinds of fish swimming right above you. The jellyfish exhibit was stunning too, with glowing colors that felt almost magical. I think it's great for both kids and adults. There are interactive touch tanks where you can feel a stingray or a horseshoe crab. The whole place is well-organized, and I never felt rushed. It took me about two hours to see everything properly.

        Amazing !
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting numerous aquariums across multiple countries, and this one truly stands out as exceptional. The highlight for me was the immersive tunnel that offers close-up views of majestic sharks and graceful turtles swimming overhead and alongside. It’s an experience that brings you face-to-face with the wonders of marine life in a way that’s both thrilling and educational. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this aquarium with your family; it’s an adventure that captivates visitors of all ages.

The Place in T.O. to Learn About Marine Life
This is really the place to learn about the wide variety of marine and amphibious life in both Canada and around the world. Here you'll learn about the marine life of our rivers and lakes...and our oceans. In addition to learning, it's an opportunity to meet people from around the world, including Spanish-speaking people from Latin America. In fact Spanish is one of the official languages of Ripley's Aquarium. The aquariums only downside is the food options at the Ripley's Cafe. The food sold is a little pricey, and the food choices are limited to, for the most part, junk food. There's much room for improvement. We'd recommend that you have bought abd eaten lunch first, then visit the aquarium.

        Swimmingly good aquarium
A nice example of a city aquarium with roomy exhibits and some fascinating Canadian and well as global species. Lots of interactive exhibits and fun things for kids young and old. Only downside was some very rude parents not showing their children how to be polite and wait their turn but i guess the venue can not control the patrons :-(

Fantastic exhibits, huge tanks and beautiful marine displays
One of the best arranged aquariums in the world. Their lagoon and ray display is amazing, you can view these from above at the water surface level and also from below as you go through their tunnel which also has a travelator. Great for kids but would recommend visiting early or off peak as it can be quite congested. Currently have a dragon exhibit (lizards/monitors etc) which is a nice addition. Definately visit when in Toronto!

Good option to visit in Toronto!
The aquarium has a lot of diversity and is very well maintained. I particularly enjoyed the coral reef tank and the shark exhibit. It’s a great option for cold or bad weather days when you want to see and learn about marine animals. That said, it’s quite small. The cost seemed high to me, although I understand it helps support the operation and conservation of the species.

        Very Poor Food Services!!
The aquarium is a great venue to visit Toronto. But it was overcrowded and you couldn’t view the displays in comfort. However, for us the worst part of the visit is the VERY POOR FOOD SERVICES. You are not allowed to bring food or drink into the building. There are junk food options …and as I was told “ we have vending machines as well!” If you don’t allow outside food in, THEN PROVIDE SOME EDIBLE MEAL CHOICES. It’s an expensive day out for a family of 4, and the ultimate insult is the disgustingly “dining options”!! Tip. Smuggle in some decent snacks!!

        Crowded
Fun experience, however SUPER packed and difficult to move around and get a chance to see anything. Too crowded, less people in at a time would be ideal.

        Waaaaaaay to many people.
How can you have so many people in a building safetly surely this can't meet a fire code Shoulder to shoulder with people who have zero respect or courtesy Can already see them saying ohhhh our peak hours are busy. .... how about make a line so 1/3 of the people going can enjoy it There was zero line up outside yet it was PACKED then they force you through the gift shop before you leave the place. 105 dollars gone in less then an hour

        Stunning sea creatures!
Well worth a visit! So well managed and presented. Amazing that with man-made sea water all the creatures appear so healthy and colourful - inc. stunning jellyfish, seahorses and leafy sea dragons. As a retired vet I worry about animals in 'captivity' but the educational value and care in the presentation seems very worthwhile. Highlights were the chats we had with two young and enthusiastic marine biologist staff members over the reef fish and the rays. There's hope for the planet yet!

        Wonderful Experience for All Ages
Get up close and personal with over 16,000 marine animals. Start on the Upper Level with the Canadian Waters. Then wind around the Pacific Kelp down to the Dangerous Lagoon and on to the Discovery Centre. Continue on to Perfect Predators and through Planet Jellies. Don't miss the amazing filtration system on the Upper Level that keeps all the marine animals healthy.

Ripley aquarium bigger than you think.
I didn't think this was as big as it was, very nice, staff informative! Found out from security lady that two new sharks were put in the main big tank you see when you first come in, the reason you can tell they're new is because they will have a tag on them so to monitor the fish, to see that they're adapting well to new environment 😉 fun place much to see! We spent about 2 and half hours in establishment, had a nice big pretzel too at snack convenience store, restaurant. Parking is about a 5min walk you can look it up, very easy to get around. I recommend this aquarium for families, alone or couples. Enjoy!

My wife and I went here last night. We did the sharks after dark which was $32 per ticket. You could enter anytime after 7 PM which meant there would be slightly less people. At 7 PM there still are a decent number of people so if you are looking to avoid the crowds I would maybe try after 8 PM instead.

It was a fun time. It is definitely geared more towards the kids, but adults can also have a good time. If you are bringing kids I would probably plan on being here at least two hours, otherwise if it is just yourselves probably around an hour.

It was prior to covid. Very Small aquarium and severely overpriced for the size as you can see the whole place in a short amount of time..
Beautiful displays of sea creatures. Loved the jelly fish.
Truly feel that there is insufficient aquarium space for the sharks, sea creatures. Take that out of the equation, loved the beauty of it all. The space is well organized.

It was a great experience for my entire family. I felt like I could just relax even with my toddler because he was clued they entire time. One of my older children loved holding the shrimp and letting them clean his hands and behind his finger nails.

The sea turtles were my favourite. I could probably spend hours just watching sea-turtles. Because it was later the sharks were very active.

I gave this experience to my 2 grandsons for a Birthday present! They loved it! They had more time to spend at all the hands on tanks, they got to go behind the scenes and learned about the diets of the different tanks, how the water is kept safe for the fish. the craft was suitable for the age group, unique and useful. It took me some clever planning to get the sleeping gear on the Go Train and to the aquarium but I did and it worked! They've asked to go back and do it again....I'll need a better air mattress!

I loved going during the after dark hours. It was actually a lot busier than I expected though. I absolutely love the large glass to view in the tanks and the tunnel was of course my favourite part! I went myself the first time I travelled to Toronto, but I'm so excited to bring my son for his first time.

A must to see ! I've visited several times since this exhibit opened. It is truly amazing. Allow yourself lots of time as depending when you go it can be very busy even during the week as many school children attend . That being said , allow lots of time so that you can really enjoy the environment. I have been many times and really find that it has always been an experience.

Visitors to Toronto will greatly appreciate all that this aquarium has to offer. Great for young children, adults and seniors. Went with my family from Ottawa in 2017. The highlight was going through a round tunnel showing all the small sharks and other marine life--you feel that you're in the tank with them. Could see the marine life and the sharks all around you.

It is a good aquarium. Not the largest but not the smallest. Everything is indoors which is a plus given the seasons in Toronto. The glass tunnel surrounded by water is quite unique - not something I’ve seen in other major aquariums.
