    What to Expect
Visit: The AGO, Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas St W, Toronto, Ontario M5T 1G4 Canada

In 2002, Ken Thomson's generous gift of 2,000 remarkable works of Canadian and European art inspired Transformation AGO, an innovative architectural expansion by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry. Completed in 2008, Transformation AGO resulted in one of the most critically acclaimed architectural achievements in North America. Highlights include Galleria Italia, a gleaming showcase of wood and glass running the length of an entire city block, and the often-photographed spiral staircase, beckoning visitors to explore. A day spent wandering these wondrous halls will fill you with an appreciation for art and architecture. With each visit is the opportunity to learn something new or experience one of the ever changing exhibitions.

One of Toronto’s top attractions with exhibitions that are world class. I just visited the new mirror room. Although you are only given a timed visit of one minute is was amazing. On my next visit I will see it again

The AGO is an amazing place to spend the day; looking at the art and culture of various periods in time was informational and fascinating. I was happily surprised that all people 25 or younger get free admission, I will definitely be going back soon!

We went to the AGO on the recommendation of a friend. I have to confess that I have the attention span of a goldfish and usually get bored quickly in museums and art galleries. AGO was the exception mainly due to a really excellent guided...More

Walk west on Dundas Street and you will see the AGO on the left hand side when you reach McCaul Street (3 blocks past University Avenue). Directions are on the AGO website under "visit".
