- fatherandd0 contributionstour to NiagarafallsSmall group of 4 so no bus but car ride was presented. Private chauffeur was the guide as well. Gave us all infomation cited by head as if he read it from book. Little interaction with us listeners. Friendly though. At the scene we were given time ofour own. Then a beautiful country ride. Also wine tasting we had not selected . Finally a safe home journey with a strong Christian inspired goodbye. My advice put the info on the car CD player with the praise songs between them and respond to spontaneous questions of the clients.Written April 29, 2015

Due to our tour being on a weekday during middle of winter, there were only 4 of us on the tour. This also caused us to use a car instead of a bus, which I think made the tour a little more intimate and allowed us to get to our locations easier. The tour was amazing and Melvin, our tour guide, was a little TOO knowledgeable about Toronto and the surrounding areas, which was a little scary lol. I also liked how he kept the jokes coming in between information to keep us laughing and awake. The views from the skylon tower was beautiful although it was freezing. The perfect ending to the tour was our stop at the winery. Ice wine (a real thing) is out of this world. If only they could ship to the US. Anyways, I’d recommend this tour if you’re looking for a great time on a budget.

Our guided Mel picked us up from outside Ripley's Aquarium, was told to be there 20 mins prior to choose seats, however were told we have been allocated seats. We departed at 8:10am due to a few guests being late.
The journey to Niagara Falls took 1.5hrs. Mel gave us a history of Canada and lots of interesting facts and stories along the way.
Our first stop was at the Skylon Tower, Mel gave us the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Skylon Tower and Hornblower (City Cruise) which cost $50 which was cheaper than purchasing them at the kiosk.
The view from the Skylon tower were incredible and the Hornblower was such an amazing experience!
Our second stop was a view along the path at the edge of the falls. Followed by the Hornblower.
On our way to Niagara on the Lake we made a few stops to the a tiny church and a view of a power station.
We stopped off at Niagara on the Lake for a 1hr lunch at around 2pm.
Around 3pm we made our journey back to Toronto arriving back at 6:40pm.
Overall the tour was very organised. There was also water available on the bus.

We had such a fantastic day from start to finish thanks to Melvin and the beautiful sights that we saw. From start to finish Mel were made sure that we were looked after and were given such a detailed narrative from Melvin as we ventured from location to location, you can tell he really enjoys and is good at his work! The stops we made were great additions to our route before finally ending up at our final destination of the breathtaking Niagara Falls! I recommend this company to anyone keen to see Niagara, it is so worth the money and the entire experience throughout the day is one my mum and I will remember. 10/10 all round!

First and foremost, Mel was brilliant! Throughout the tour he delivered an interesting and knowledgeable commentary on the falls, the surrounding areas, and Canadian history, all interspersed with the occasional story and joke for our entertainment. He really seemed to enjoy his job, which set the tone for the rest of the tour party,
We found the stops to be the perfect length at each place, which meant we were able to do everything without rushing, but also without waiting around too.
Would certainly recommend this company for your trip to Niagara Falls!

Our pick up location was an easy walk from our hotel. We had the option of either paying extra to ride to the top of the Skylon tower or going straight to the Table Rock Welcome Center. Because we did not do the tower, we had about an hour at Table Rock. From there, our tour began in earnest. Our guide Melvin was exceptionally knowledgeable. The van was comfortable and clean. Mel provided all kinds of snacks from bananas to ice cream! We stopped for a little over an hour for lunch on our own in Niagara on the Lake. It is a lovely little town. We stopped for a wine tasting on the way back to Niagara Falls. There were non-alcoholic options for those who were too young or did not want wine. The history of the ice wines in the region is so intriguing! Overall, it was a lovely day and an excellent tour.

My husband and I were excited for this tour based on all the great reviews. It seemed perfect for what we wanted. Unfortunately, our only experience with Chariots of Fire was meeting the tour group in the morning and then being weirdly handed over to an entirely different tour company, King Tours.
We arrived at the meeting point 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled departure time as instructed and were confused when we and a handful of others were told to go on a different big tour bus across the street. It was not until after the Chariots of Fire buses had left that we realized we were now on a different tour company's bus with no explanation. We had to sit and wait for this bus to pick up other passengers in town, and we didn't leave Toronto until almost 9:30. This was frustrating, as we specifically booked with Chariots of Fire because of the early departure time. It was an irritating waste of 90 minutes.
The tour itself was fine and offered essentially the same things we were promised with Chariots of Fire, but the driver, while pleasant and kind, didn't give us much information or historical background about the places we visited. This was something I was looking forward to based on what I had read about the Chariots of Fire tour.
We specifically booked this tour because of the smaller buses/tour groups and earlier start and end times, which would have allowed us to catch the 7:00 baseball game we had tickets for that evening. Our bus driver did not seem concerned with sticking to a schedule or getting back by a certain time, and many of the passengers were late each time we re-boarded the bus which made us later and later throughout the day. We also spent an extra hour at Niagara on the Lake, which the driver pitched as a lucky bonus for us, but we would much rather have gotten back on time. On top of that, we hit major traffic getting back into the city (nobody's fault, but exacerbated by our lateness). At the beginning of the day the driver said we'd be back around 6:00, which we thought was fine since we'd still have an hour buffer before the game. We didn't actually end up getting back until after 8:00, which caused us to miss half of the game.
I understand this may have been a last-minute change due to unforeseen complications on their end, but we felt a little deceived as none of these changes were brought to our attention and it negatively impacted our plans the rest of the day. It appeared to us that Chariots of Fire overbooked the tour and then passed us off to a totally different tour company without explanation. That may not have been the case, but we found the lack of communication and information frustrating. Not what we expected.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that this happened. Our tour bus broke down the day before. The other company promised us they would leave for Niagara Falls the same time that we did, and that they would do the same tour and be back around the same time. They had a different driver that day, and obviously this didn't happen.
This is the only day we transferred a few of our passengers to another company, and it won't happen again.
We apologize for not providing better information, the delays in the schedule, and the inconvenience and problems it caused .

The tour is good value at this price, with a decent itinerary. I greatly enjoyed the scenery and the timing at various stops was fine. Our guide, Micko, was friendly and informative. The reason for a 4-star rating rather than 5 is that the bus we travelled on (a 25 seater) had terrible suspension at the rear (I was seated over the rear axle), and would clunk and jolt over any bumps in the road (there are plenty in the city area), making it quite an uncomfortable ride until we got out onto the onto road. As mentioned in some other reviews, the bus can get pretty chilly inside, so be prepared if you are travelling in the cooler months.

We went on the Fall for Niagara tour on 25 February. The tour was fantastic, we had a small group and our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the falls. The falls were amazing and an experience I will take with me and the photos are an amazing reminder of the trip. I recommend going in winter, it's cold but it's well worth it!

All I can say is WOW! The tour was absolutely amazing, our best day in Toronto. Our guide was Melvin (Mel) and he was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge was flawless and so interesting, he took such good care of us throughout the whole day and was so accommodating to everyones needs. He is an absolute asset to this company and would do the tour again just to listen to Mels history facts. Would recommend 10000%
