      ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 highly recommended!
Javier was AMAZING! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 highly recommended! We got caught in a bad weather day with heavy rain and Javier was so cool and accommodating. At Javier’s recommendation we went off script, off of the original plan, and made for a perfect day, even with bad weather. Great music, great conversation, like going on a road trip with a good friend. Javier is amazing!

      Great trip adventure
I recently did a hiking tour to Bruce Peninsula with Toronto Eco Adventure, and it was an incredible experience. The tours are well organized, and are usually small group, which makes it nicer and kind of a personalized trip adventure. Javier is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide, who showed us the best spots along the trip and taught us interesting facts. I can’t wait to book another trip with Toronto Eco Adventures.

      Unique experience
I highly recommend this trip; the tour has stops where we can appreciate beautiful sceneries while learning with the guide about nature and facts about the trails. Javier our guide was amazing; he is very responsive to all inquiries and provides clear instructions to the group. He is experienced and knowledgeable about the area and while the tour he shares interesting facts about the surroundings. Thank you for the awesome day Javier!!!

Can’t wait for my next trip
10/10 Despite the weather Javier made this trip very memorable. Knew all the right spots and was an excellent photographer. Lots of interesting facts so I learned a lot about what to use to start a fire! Would never have noticed so many things if he hadn’t pointed them. Can tell how patient he is. Will be returning 100%

      Moose Spotting in Algonquin
I had a fantastic time, this was my first adventure into guided hikes and Javier is the perfect guide. He is passionate and friendly, taking the group to multiple additional look outs and lakes along the journey so we would get the fullest experience of Algonquin we could squeeze into the day. The photos Javier took for us was a lovely bonus. The small tour group was great for getting to know each other and we made some new friends along the way. Overall a perfect day out with beautiful scenery and great company!

      Spectacular Bruce Peninsula!
Amazing trip! Javier was an incredible and patient guide. The tour started at Toronto, had a small stop half way for bathroom and snacks, and then got to the lake. We enjoyed a really good-weather day at Bruce Peninsula and got to see its impressive colors and view. We had time to ourselves and had fun taking pictures, admiring the view and having a small lunch. Tip: Bring lunch or buy something at the stop! There’s no place to buy food or water near the park.

      Great day at the falls
Such a great day at Niagara falls. Javier is excellent and the tour is perfectly organized! The highlight of the tour was visiting hidden gems around the Niagara region.

      Algonquin in Feb 2024!
Another amazing trip run by Javier! As always, am so impressed by how knowledgable and experienced he is, and the passion behind what he does which is infectious. The park trails were beautiful, some highlights included walking on a frozen lake and getting up close and personal with some wildlife bird species you don't usually see in the city! And as always, Javier makes sure to prioritize safety first so that we all end up having the best time. See you again soon!

      Blue Mountain snow time
Absolutely gorgeous place, must be experienced in winter time! We got there at the end of January, while there was still snow, but the weather was already warming up. My guess is they will be adding snow for the weekend guests, but we enjoyed our time never the less. Plenty to see, plenty to experience and a lot of restaurants with fine foods. We highly recommend Magnone's Italian Kitchen, their chef and their service are amazing. I understand that all the business is revolving around skiers, but the staff at chair lifts wouldn't let us go up to the top without ski equipment (only in summer time!). The other thing we noticed, it's hard to recognize forest trails in winter time, because the entrances are buried in snow or covered with snow banks during clean ups. The whole village was still covered with Christmas lights which will certainly up your spirit, but we will definitely be back in summer time!

Javier and Luigi made the trip really special!
A very fun filled day hiking in Muskoka and taking in the views. Javier is a great tour guide! He’s extremely personable and goes out of his way to talk about things and point out cool sites or things along the trip. We travelled from Toronto to the Bracebridge area. The first hike was about 7 km and we stopped for lunch half way. It’s not that hard of a hike in terms of elevation; however there are roots and rocks (a typical muskoka hike around a lake) so it’s good to make sure you have a good pair of hiking shoes and a walking stick helps. Bring lots of water! You can leave your bag in the van so you don’t have to carry it around. We stopped at Webers on the way home which was great. Good price food and nice go experience that. I’d recommend taking a trip with Javier if you love the outdoors and being in nature.

      Disappointing
This excursion was very disappointing. To begin with, the weather was very bad with a lot of rain, and the tour wasn't cancel. The destination is quite boring, I have seen way better places in the US, in Europe or even in Asia. By the way, we have to sit in an old and very uncomfortable car for a few hours. Furthermore, I booked a second tour with Javier but I was unable to go because I was sick. He exceptionally authorized the refund but I never received it despite several requests, so another disappointment...

I've connected with numerous outdoor outfitters and hiking companies over the years and this one, Toronto Eco Adventures, ticks off ALL the right boxes for me.

    1. Small groups: I've been on four outings (mostly winter, which is my favourite season) and the group has never exceeded 6 participants, which makes for a cohesive group -- and very relaxed, fun and sociable.

    2. You are getting a genuine outdoorsy nature experience. The hikes billed as "hikes" are definitely hikes. The outings described as more relaxed are indeed that. I've explored Bruce Peninsula in the dead of winter -- which was like an Ice Palace out of Disney -- but I've also embraced a few engaging hikes. Most recently, I hiked The Crack up in Killarney, a somewhat rigorous hike.

    3. The leader. An outdoor group experience is a good as the leader. Javier is fully trained in the outdoors -- but is also passionate about nature. He layers in lots of information about the areas he visits along with the outdoorsy experience.

    4. I've met an interesting and, at times, eclectic group of people on these outings, often travellers who've only set foot in Canada a few days prior.

The trips are a full-day commitment which is expected as we don't do over-visited hiking areas close to major cities. The Bruce Peninsula. Algonquin Park. Killarney Provincial Park. (And there are some beach getaways that are a little off the beaten track.)

The real litmus test of a successful outdoor operator: repeat visits. On 3 of my 4 outings I encountered familiar faces from previous day trips.

Lots of fun chat, as well. I highly recommend Toronto Eco Adventures.
