Yummy food, great guide. Too much waiting
Our tour guide Jack was fabulous, as was the food! However we had to wait quite a bit at each stop which was frustrating since only in port for a few hours.

        Walking Tour of Charlottetown
Joe MacDonald was the perfect guide as he shared both historical and personal notes throughout the tour. We tend to enjoy exploring a new city on our own but would have missed out on many interesting facts and stops along the way. Beautiful morning in a lovely city!

They cancelled on me last minute
Not nice to cancel 5 min before tour, you should pay me the $100 cancellation fee you would have charged me if I cancelled last minute.

This activity was so disappointed! The tour guide never show in up! We stay until more than 30 ministre after the time of 3h00 pm at the meeting point and we wasn’t late! I tried to call the trip advisor office and they never answer and i had to do everything’s by email! It was a bad experience and O really don’t recommande this activity!

        Interesting tour of Charlottetown
We enjoyed our 2 hr tour with Joe. He was informative and interesting. His family were the first inhabitants and he had many stories to tell.

This was the worst tour we have ever been on. First, we booked a 3P tour but the day before, we received a reminder saying 3:30P. So, we were there very early because we didn't know which time was right. The guide was supposed to be wearing a white shirt but wasn't because he said he hadn't received it yet. Anyway, he started the tour early without making sure he had everyone in his group, but we butted in and asked if he was the tour guide for our tour (which he was). It only got worse...he had very little knowledge and said he had just moved back to PEI after being gone for many years. If you get this guy, just leave the tour because it's not worth the walk. His key word is "probably" ... "probably built around 1850" ... "probably (this), probably (that)". You can fill in the blank ... he read the markers around attractions to us rather than providing additional information. He focused on run-down houses that hadn't been updated ever and had absolutely no information on the history of the houses. He relied on others to provide commentary...like when we went into the Confederation Building and also when we went to Beaconsfield House. And, he had absolutely no regard for the walking pace of the group. He just marched along making up BS as he went along. Total waste of time...everyone on this tour couldn't wait for it to be over. Just walk around yourself...you'll see more and learn more.

        Nice tour
Our guide Dave had loads of info, on a variety of topics - history, architecture, current projects in the city. The pace and coverage was just right.

        Walking tour average at best.
Tour was okay. The guide did not seem to be very organized and kept repeating information. We could have done without his religious beliefs sprinkled in.

        Not worth it
This tour is overpriced and lacks substance. I was the only person on the tour at 9:00am, and the guide seemed very inexperienced, having recently moved back to PEI after being away for decades. The historical information provided was minimal, with vague references to buildings without specific dates or deeper context. It was shocked and disappointing by how little the tour offered. Throughout, the guide kept mentioning another tour that supposedly provided better experiences—the driving tour to Anne of Green Gables. Essentially, the guide implied that I should have chosen that tour instead. Save your money and explore other options. Avoid this tour at all costs.

Our tour was a lot of fun! We saw a lot of beautiful architecture, homes, churches... Our tour guide was doing her last tour, but was lovely and professional!

        Excellent walking tour!
A great way to start our visit to PEI. Our guide was courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable on the history of the area. The stops into shops was fun and added so much to the tour. Would definitely recommend!

A wonderful way to get a feel for Charlottown
Our guide was bright, cheerful, and a pleasure to listen to, and follow. They were knowledgeable of the area, and mindful of the varied walking capabilities of our group.

        Interesting walking tour in Charlottetown
Joe was knowledgeable and funny. It was nice that we went into the Basilica, the coolest second hand book store, and the knitting store. I would like to suggest a walk into one of the historic homes if possible. That to me would complete the tour.

        Sunday walk in rain
Great info and enjoyed hearing about the history of PEI , beautiful churches and Victorian homes … our tour was booked for 9 am and they had to cancel due to tour guide so that was disappointing but we rescheduled for 3pm which worked just had to rearrange our day. Would highly recommend doing on your first day which is what we did .

Cannot put six people in a standard van! Front seat comfortable, hears it all. Two people in middle heat everything and have sight lines through front windshield and side windows. Three people in back row have poor vision (side windows only), can hardly hear anything, and are squashed into bench seat. Middle seat uncomfortable no arm rests etc.
Operator should have some sort of microphone so back seat can hear and there should be a mandatory rotation so people in back seat at some point have ability to see what you’re touring.

Our third seat mate was quite large. He should have been out into the front seat. But he was wedged in with us so full body contact for four hours.
Extremely uncomfortable, uninteresting, waste of money. Do NOT book a van tour unless you find out it’s a sprinter van with higher windows for line of sight.
We stopped for a road side view of beach, at an art shop (beautiful gardens), Anne of Green Gables shop, and small jam factory restaurant. I’m guessing tour gets kick back from gallery and jam place. They was just no reason to think these were attractions.
Tour guide very nice man but no repertoire- never introduced us to each other, added humor or antidotes. Just dull.

Do not take this tour on holidays or near off season. The driver had good knowledge of a small number of topics and repeated himself so much that I turned after a while. We were promised a high quality restaurant meal and got cheap nasty donut shop sandwiches instead. The driver, or someone, very obviously and frequently smoked in his vehicle - not while we were in it though. He kept showing us places that were closed - finding something open would have been nice. Sure, the Anne of Green Gables thing was open, but whatever. Also, did not check COVID-19 vaccination status or identification or even tickets. Masks were not used in the vehicle (except by me). Definitely not worth the money.

It really wasn’t worth the money. The only thing interesting was the Anne of Green Gable house. Our tour guide was very dry. He could have stopped at a muscle farm and explained the process or stopped at a restaurant to buy some.

Although the tour guide was a newcomer, she provided an excellent tour with her enthusiasm and knowledge of the area. We also liked her flexibility in adapting to the groups needs and wishes, by not spending time at undesired locations and adding some additional but interesting areas. As expected, the Anne of Green Gables House was packed with tourists and nothing special for us, but the drive through the countryside and along the coast made out visit worthwhile.

booked trip excited to see Anne of Green Gables, disappointed as tour only took us to the house exhibit. Later heard of the many other Anne of Green Gables sites in Summerside but tour did not take us there. Stopped at a high end Art Gallery(not impressed). Better time spent would have been in Summerside. This tour was disappointing and not worth the money

We were on a cruise stopping for the day and like to book, small group independent tours when possible. This was a very good excursion if you have one day in Charlottetown and want to see the highlights of PEI. It is a lot of driving but the countryside is very picturesque. One of the stops was the Green Gables house and it was interesting to hear the history (my wife read her books and knew the story already). Overall, we covered a lot of ground in the day.

Our guide David Mackay was quite knowledgeable of the island and answered all questions. Included was entry to Green Gables where we were given an hour to explore. We also visited a jelly processing store and sampled locally flavored jelly. Additionally, we visited Blakeley Beach and visited a gallery and garden. It was difficult to find our guide at the port at the beginning. Apparently, he went to the ship while we waited where we had been instructed to wait. Found out from another guide from the same company. When we found our ride there were already 5 passengers and car was full. Turned out 2 of the passengers were supposed to be in the car. It was sorted out and we got underway.

Dave was a very friendly man and guide. Instructions on how to find him were to say the best terrible. All of the 6 passengers on the van has the same terrible experience with how to find “Dave”. In regards to the tour itself it was nothing special I don’t know what other people desire but we were hoping to hear more about the history of Prince Edward Island. Who, what where and why sort of discussion. Granted we did stop for 10 minutes of a 4 hour tour to see where the initial Confederation took place. We don’t appreciate being taken to a store to buy things under the guise of being a “stop”.

We did however see the scenery and small towns it’s a lovely place worth seeing but if you want more about why it is and what it is look for another tour

Itinerary was poor. Saw the lighthouse as pictured as we drove by. Anne of Green Gables was good but could have used some more narrative from Katherine. In fact, the history of the area was scarce. Slightly mentioned prohibition but didn’t know when it ended (40’s, 50’s, 60’s???). We stopped to get a couple of beach pictures and then further up the road, Katherine said “There’s the wow shot.” We didn’t stop there! I’ve done several tours with your company and was extremely disappointed in this one, especially for the price. Did I mention Katherine ran through a red light and confessed she didn’t it??
