This tour includes a short tour of Historic Charlottetown including St. Dunstan's Basilica and Province House, Birthplace of Canada. A picturesque drive through the rolling hills of PEI to Park Corner, the location of Silver Bush. We will also be making photo stops at French River and Lucy Maude's Birthplace. Next we will continue on to Green Gables Heritage Site (Anne's House) and the grave site of Lucy Maude Montgomery and her husband. A coastal drive through Cavendish Beach takes us to North Rustico Harbour (a working fishing harbour), the North Rustico Light house, and then returning to Charlottetown.

PEI was a bucket list destination for my friend and I. Don was patient, calm, and friendly for the duration of the tour. My friend and I were here to geek out about all things Anne of Green Gables and Don delivered! In fact, Don delivered in the most fantastic way by rearranging the order of the tour so we could avoid the crowds and tour buses. We pretty much had the Heritage House and Anne of Green Gables Museum to ourselves thanks to Don's experience. As soon as the tour buses started to show up, we took that as our cue to jump back into Don's van and continue onto the next destination.
Don was willing to take pictures of us with our phones and answered any and all questions (even the really silly ones). He even whipped out some Anne of Green Gables straw hats with orange yarn braids from the trunk of his vehicle to really help us get into the spirit of the day. He took some pictures of our group in front of the Heritage House modeling the hats making for some really fun memories.
One of the people in our party was recovering from an injury and had a walker. Don was of great assistance with her and was able to accommodate the walker in his trunk.
Don's vehicle was clean and comfortable and he even wore a little microphone so we could all hear his commentating clearly.
We had the most perfect day in PEI and this tour exceeded our expectations.

We had the absolute BEST day with Don! From start to finish, it was the perfect day on Prince Edward Island for two Anne of Green Gables fans (and their moms who were great sports about the whole thing). I made Edwardian-esque skirts for us to history-bound for the tour, and Don even provided the Anne hats with braids for us all to wear as long as we wanted on the tour. Our moms even got in on that, which was tons of fun.
Don did the tour in a different order to get us to all the spots the buses would be going first, and we beat the buses every single time. That was perfect for us so we could live all our Anne dreams without huge crowds.
He also gave us tons of information about the island, the industries, the houses, etc. Our moms were particularly interested in the fishing and he answered all their questions patiently and with great detail.
We even got to do a bonus stop by the beach so we could recreate the Kindred Spirits picture, and so our moms could look for shells and put their hands in the North Atlantic.
Also, I am a travel agent and communicated with Don (or his wife) a few times prior to the tour, and the responses were always prompt, courteous and helpful. And, he was super accommodating as my mom had a recent fall and needed a rollator and said it would be no problem fitting it in the van.
Definitely recommend Don to anyone who wants to live out their Anne of Green Gables dreams on PEI!

The place is great. The house is very pretty and the rooms remind us of the book or the series. The entrance in the form of a museum is informative. The trails are not worth it and I would have liked more souvenirs specific to Anne's world in the shop.

You definitely get your Anne of Green Gables experience and little of PEI. My guide was very pleasant and informative. Maybe a little more included if a smaller group or solo as I was. But overall a great experience.
