Visiting Montreal for the first time, we picked the right tour bus and the best tour guide named Norman. He pointed out the historic landmarks, the sites and what streets to make sure to go to
Very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you might have. I read several of the reviews and happy to say I am so glad I did
It helped me to decide to take this tour

Would have liked a small map to mark the places that we would like to visit again and see and do more.

This tour in a comfortable closed bus lasted 4 hours instead of the 3 that was advertised. The tour leader Cecile was excellent. Informative and humorous. We stopped several times for pictures and at a marketplace where we could buy refreshments. We were picked up next to our hotel and dropped off close by. We saw many different districts of Montreal. It was definitely worthwhile.

We anxiously awaited the tour and found most of it very informative and fun to be on, as we had a wonderful time for the first half, but then our tour guide went into a long and tiresome diatribe against the Catholic Church. I 'm a Canadian history major who taught school for 30 years, and in those years, never dared trying to poison classes with biased political or religious opinions. I'm not Catholic, but would never want to see any religion, whether Muslim, Christian, Judaism, etc. maligned as our guide, CLAIRE, did.
As a history major especially of the French/ English early conflicts in 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, and especially of the Battle of Plains of Abraham, I found so many negative or false fact against Catholics in your tour. Yes the church made lots of mistakes, but also did lots of good things, if you care to look at the historical record.
Claire, I suggest you get much better informed before you continue your work. Other than your political biases, (i.e. Trudeau is your hero apparently), you gave a great tour. A special thanks to the driver Angelo, who is absolutely a tremendous driver battling with huge traffic downtown. Wonderful job!!!

Bus Driver (Angelo) was excellent: skilled, pleasant, kind, funny, & helpful!
Guide (Claire) was interesting, but her commentary was more than once, LESS THAN ACCURATE.
Her version of some of Quebec/Canada's history was sometimes "revisionist" --
she frequently spoke very negatively of the influence of the Catholic missionaries. Her
commentary was obviously completely biased -- not the type of objective history that should be given to tourists. Her statement that the French "gave" the colony to the English was laughable -- missing the serious facts of when/how France & England fought a war, where it happened, etc ...... to get to the outcome she was referring to.
Tour stops were interesting -- but a little disappointing that there is so much construction in Montreal -- which prevented us from entering some of the places.
Good, quick overview of some of the city's spots -- very comfortable & clean bus!

This tour does provide a good overview of some of Montreal. Perhaps it is asking too much to have the tour travel through the neighborhoods of the city as we found some of the stops less interesting than when we ventured out on our own. We both felt the stop at Notre Dame too long--there is just too much to see there that sort of hanging on the plaza for 20 plus minutes not necessary. Better to stop, provide an overview or better yet, point out some of the interesting sites that one might not be aware of --the Bank of Montreal, the Royal Bank Tower, or Rue de St. Paul. I think a stop at the Jean Talon Market would have been better than the Maisonneuve Market; this market much smaller than Jean Talon and crowded at lunchtime. Originally we hoped to take the 9 am bus tour but they moved us to the 11 am tour--having to build in a half hour for everyone to eat not ideal to getting a tour of the city--a stop for water, coffee, pastry would have been our preference. Save lunch for after the tour. Our guide, Francois, very informative, funny but, as we found on several other of our tours in Montreal and Quebec City, displayed some animus against the Catholic Church. As Catholics we felt some of his statements disrespectful and, in one instance, incorrect. But as I said he was not alone in sounding anti Church; my suggestion is that tour guides be aware of their audience and save any political and religious opinions for one on one discussions if travelers ask for those opinions. We felt during this Covid crisis adequate steps were taken with frequent hand sanitizing and mask wearing while on the bus. My suggestion would be to bring back a hop on hop off tour and to scale back the 3 1/2 hour tour to no more than 3 hours but shortening several of the stops.

This is a bus tour around the city, not every attractions will have a stop. Only 3 stop is provided Norte Dame (30min), Olympic stadium (10min) and top of mount royal (5min). Wish they can have more stops
Experience guide and good tour if you have limited time and want to understand the history of Montreal.
Bring your own lunch if you take the 11am tour which will finished around 3pm

When you have limited time in Montreal, this is a great way to experience the sights. We took this tour in mid-October 2019. We had just a few hours to see the day time sights in Montreal before going to Quebec so we got the hop on and off tour at the Visitor's Center.
Although it was extremely cold, we stayed on the top deck of the double decker bus to see the sights better. The guide was very informative and we saw several landmarks around Montreal. Other tidbits were mentioned about sights along the stops.
We did not get off at any of the stops but noticed people did get off and others get on so if we had more time to explore the stops, we probably would have done this as well.
Well worth the money!

You will need to call the number on your ticket at least 24 hours before the day of the tour for a hotel pick up. Otherwise, you'll have to go to the ticket office to meet the tour group. I called the office far in advance for a pick up, it was no problem. The bus driver came about half hour before the tour started. Hope this helps.

We did the Grayline city bus tour which was pretty good for an overview. We only had one day before embarking on a cruise. The tour description said it was in English and French. The only draw-back was that the English was heavily accented and somewhat hard to understand at times. Try to sit near the front.
