        Montreal City
I recently took the Montreal City Sightseeing Tour with Live Commentary, and it was a fantastic way to explore the city! If you're short on time but still want to get a great overview of Montreal, this tour is perfect.

        Wintery fun
Frank, our driver, was such a good master of the wheel; despite the snowy weather, we whisked around the city no problem. Our tour guide also was so polite and so professional and peppered his stories with humorous anecdotes and cool facts about Montréal. I enjoy travelling solo and exploring but the great benefit to joining group events like this is that you'll be shown things you wouldn't have known to visit on your own. I really enjoyed my winter experience and recommend it!

        Excellent tour!
Excellent tour for 3 1/2 hours and would highly recommend. Francois was so very knowable and enthusiastic about his work and explaining about each part of Montreal, from the old to the new - so much detail, told with a smile and a sense of humour. We had a tour on 24 December 9am'ish and Grayling picked us up from our hotel St Sulpice. Our driver was fantastic as well! Do not know how our driver managed to drive in all that snow and manoeuvred the coach so brilliantly - he was marvellous and extremely experienced. Both Francois and our driver are a credit to the company. Would highly recommend this tour as it is a brilliant start to your stay in Montreal. Thank you,

It was a good overview. Our guide was celebrating his 75th birthday with our small group of 10. Frank, the driver was great, too!

        Disappointing.
Stops for photos ordinary. Promised “nature stops” but not told where. Bus very full so pillar blocking view out of windows for some passengers. Commentary quite amusing but often not relevant -eg personal stories.

        Not What I Expected
Too many people on a bus. Pretty much just rode around the city listening to the driver. We stopped for 2 photo stops and a 25 minute walk to the church.

Very good way to see a lot in a short time
Everything was on schedule. Our driver(Dell?) made good time so added extra things in. Richard our interpreter was efficient and gave lots of good tidbits.

Wonderful tour guide. Learned a lot about the city. Was able to jot down notes of places to add to my list and got great restaurant suggestions.

        Fantastic tour!
We decided to take this tour on very short notice and LOVED it! Great customer service and the tour itself was informative. Our guide Norman was absolutely fantastic in his narrative and offered wonderful suggestions to eat in the city.

        Nice overview of city
We had a completely full bus. We got on the bus at Dorchester Square but there was some confusion with those that had hotel pick up. They had to get off the bus then get in line with the rest of us. Richard, the driver, was wonderful. He was much friendlier and informative than the actual guide, Louis. Traffic was pretty bad so we ended the tour later than stated. Most of the points of interest were great since they were outside our walking range. Bad part was that we had to sit through all the hotel drop offs before they returned us to Dorchester Square.

        Very slow view of Montreal.
With a full bus, our guide spoke both French and English on the tour. That meant that half of the time, half of us could not understand what he was saying, but he talked continually so everybody could get the narration. We did see some interesting sites of Montreal, but in all the bus trip was very slow, and took almost 4 hours, not the 3 1/2 as promised. It was difficult having narration 100% of the time and not being able to have some peaceful moments as we drove through Montreal. We also had two babies who were crying pretty much nonstop through the tour – – this should be marked for children six and over, as it is very slow and there’s nothing to entertain them on the bus. It was a good way to see the city, but I think visiting each of the major sites, as the cathedral and Mount Royal and the old port, would have been a better way to see it.

The tour was average at best. Learned a few things but overall was not productive. Had a hard time hearing and understanding the english of the tour guide at times.

We had a fantastic experience in Quebec City, made even better by our incredibly attentive driver. He was always on time, gathering everyone promptly and without delay — truly punctual to a heartbeat. Our tour guide, Katia, was equally wonderful, a charming lady who added warmth and insight to the whole experience. Quebec City itself is absolutely magical, like stepping into a movie scene. Speaking of which, we were lucky enough to have recently watched "French Girl", which is mostly set in Quebec City. Seeing the locations in person added an extra layer of charm to an already wonderful visit!

If you are in Montreal and can get to Quebec city, YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD- I'm just not sure I would recommend going on this bus trip. My husband & I didn't want to drive to Quebec city after a busy work/social week in Montreal (zzzzzzz) . The day started out frustrating as we waited 30 minutes for 1 family to join us (have respect for others- be on time. why did we wait?) . Travel to Quebec city was seamless and we picked up our guide for his 2 1/2 hours of sharing his love of the city. The day is not logically sequenced as we got off the bus for an hour of slow walking/stopping/listening but you only walk about 400 m total. The information was great but very slow as it alternates between french and english and movement is minimal. We were then back on the bus where we drove to montmorency falls. If you have been to any other waterfall in Canada, I would skip this. Incredibly underwhelming and time consuming portion of the trip. You are then back on the bus to drive past plains of Abraham but at no point did we get off the bus to look around or enjoy the plains. Then we were back to the original spot to get less than 2 hours of free time. This is really just enough time to eat lunch (it is now 2:30 pm and we got on the bus at 7:45) and do a few minutes in the shops. We quickly hiked back up to the plains of Abraham to actually explore it and felt very rushed to do any dining or shopping/sightseeing. Ultimately, if you are mobile and enjoy reading the history on your own, you should just get to Quebec City for the day and avoid an organized tour like this as it was more bus/time killing than adventure. If you are older or travelling with someone who is not mobile it is a good option?

The Trip was enjoyable though it was drizzling in Quebec and with the rude weather the roaming about in Quebec town and exploring it became restricted.Me and my wife found the Quebec town beautiful and charming and not another concrete jungle that the big towns in US and Canada normally are. There is River, there is Sea, there is Hill. there is this imposing Chateau, there are big lovely gardens and old historical buildings speaking of the French and British reign. Some old buildings have retained their grandeur and glamour in Quebec and have given the town a soul.
As far as the tour is concerned, the coach was comfortable and the guide good. The stoppage at Montmorency fall was very brief and should be increased. The extra time - after the guided tour in Quebec - can be reduced by an hour easily to revise the schedule. The Old town of Quebec was where we clicked pics a lot because it was so beautiful ! I think the tour operators should give a map to each traveler in which restaurants offering different tastes like Chinese,Indian,Continental etc. are clearly marked . A new person in a new town without guidance will have to spend a lot of time in just locating a restaurant as per his taste if left clueless.
We were in morning asked to report very early at 7 am at Dorchester square whereas the bus departed for Quebec at 8.15 am. This unnecessary wastage of early morning precious one hour or so could have been avoided so that we could have done our breakfast in hotel properly. But nevertheless the trip was memorable and worth every penny spent.

Wouldn't recommend this trip, we paid $135 Canadian dollars each for this trip, appx £77 british pounds.
Looked good, a luxury coach, a guided tour of old Quebec, the falls and some free time.
The woman working at the desk in the Gray line bus station was less than helpful and just not friendly. The bus was very old, very loud engine, poor suspension and in fact broke down on the way back.
The Quebec guide said that she wasn't being paid to do the guiding so she made it explicit that the tips would be funding her services!!! I thought but what have we already paid quite a lot of money for???Surely the guide should be paid?? She was nice enough but certainly no expert guide. We had a rather cursory tour of old Quebec, went to the falls which were impressive and then dropped off in Quebec for around 3 hours. being supplied with city maps would have been helpful at this point. Again on the way back, after the breakdown, we were still being pursued for tips by the driver. Fair enough it wasn't his fault that the bus broke down but...the trip felt cheap. If we'd paid anything up to 50 pounds, maybe ok but half as much again and it felt very poor value for money.
To improve : get a decent guide and pay them properly. Extend the quebec walking tour. Get a much more comfortable bus and please don't aggressively pursue the customers for tips when they have already paid a lot of money for the trip!!

I went on their tour on Saturday 25th November from Montréal to Quebec City.
The tour was amazing but my whole day was ruined by the company employees.
After the tour we got back on the coach I was sat up front next to the driver, when departing the coach I put my very expensive Montane gloves down to give the driver is tip I left the bus and left my gloves on the ledge in front of my seat, I emailed the company straightaway and the next morning at 9 am I called the customer services who said they would check with the garage, when she called me back she stated no gloves were left !! Which is a lie !! And not correct, so obviously someone who works for the company knows there value and keeping them !!! Karma will get them for this !! But be warned if they will steal your possession what kind of company are they ??
I will place this review on all social media!!
I asked the lady to send me the email addresses of the directors, she said she would but never did !!!
Disgusting!! A fantastic day ruined by dishonest employees.

very average to avoid, does not respect the schedules, late departure delayed by half an hour arrival in quebec the tour of the city done at a run, then the falls of montmorency done in 5 minutes just enough time to take a photo at tele objective at more than 1 km because there is no time for the guide, more concerned with finishing as soon as possible. In addition, she and us asked for her tip while explaining her working conditions to us. We noticed that she was more interested in English speakers, placing us French at the back of the bus. In conclusion, a bad experience to be discouraged.

On Wednesday August 16, 2023, me, my husband and our daughter took the Quebec City and Montmorency Falls Day Trip from Montreal. We paid in advance $390 for the tour.
When we got to the Montmorency Falls were given less than 30 minutes to explore the place on our own. After we visited the waterfall, we return to the pick up point indicated by the tour guide. However, the bus had already left the place. We were seven minutes late when we return to the pick up point. The driver left us stranded in a place we did not know as this was our first time in Quebec City.
We called the office to ask for help. The person who answered the call said they were unable to contact the driver and that we needed to find our way back to downtown Quebec and make sure to be there at 4:30 pm when the bus was returning to Montreal.
We tried calling an Uber which were unavailable. We ended up calling a taxi with the help of the tourist office at the Falls. We arrived at 2:41 p.m to downtown Quebec. By that time, it started to rain. We had lunch and didn’t have time to visit the city.
We were not the only ones left by the bus at the Falls. There was a Mexican girl who left all her belongings in the bus including her passport and credit cards.
We spent more time riding the bus than actually visiting the city. We only spend 15 minutes walking around the city when we arrived in the morning. The rest of the tour was riding the bus on the way to the Falls.
It is the responsibility of the tour company to make sure the passengers are carried so that they can visit the place. However, we did not even get the driver’s or the tour guide’s phone number to get in touch in case of an emergency. When we finally talked to the driver he was rude and starting shouting at us.
To make matters worse some of the passengers told us they had asked the driver and tour guide to wait a few more minutes for us but he did not do it.
The tour guide told all the passengers that after returning from the waterfall we were going to spend two and a half hours walking around downtown. If that was the case, what was the rush in returning to Quebec City leaving some tourists abandoned in the Falls?

I read a lot of reviews before selecting this specific trip. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this trip!

      Pros:
Our bus driver Richard made the trip for us. He was so funny and such a genuine person. He gave us very useful pointers before we arrived in Quebec City! He sincerely cared about the well-being of all his passengers! He even made an impromptu stop at the end of our trip so we could see the fire on the fountain in Montreal! He was the best and the sole reason we give a 5 instead of 4!
Additionally, for us, the 30min stop at the waterfall was perfect. We had plenty of time to walk down and get some good pictures. If you want to explore the waterfall and ride the cable car, you might want a different tour. Finally, the 3hrs free time in the city was perfect as well. We had time to see so many beautiful things and get a good meal and snacks.

      Cons:
As many other reviews mentioned, the driving tour around Quebec City was a little long and not extremely useful to us. However, if you love history, the tour guide Lyn was extremely knowledgeable!

They took too many reservations for 1 bus, so they preferred English speakers to leave on the 1st bus.
We had to leave at 8am, with this reservation problem we waited more than 30 minutes to leave.
Visiting the falls is a shame just long enough to take a photo from afar and leave.
For the visit to Quebec, when booking it was planned to leave at 5:00 p.m. but the driver decided that he would leave at 4:30 p.m.
In total we lost a total of 1 hour.
When the guide had a disaster, she made it clear to us that she didn't like French speakers.
