Great tour with Elise, she's super knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Both the east and west are worth it.

We did both East ad. West walking tours. Sarah, was our guide on both tours. Despite the weather not cooperating for the first half, it did not dampen Sarah’s spirit and she gave a lively history of the East end first. This was a great review of the history of Montreal with a 90 minute easy walking trip around the area. It was delivered at a good pace ( our tour was in English)
The west half began about an hour break after the east tour. This is enough time for a bite to eat and plenty of places in old Montreal to try. The west tour accounted for some of the newer history and was more about the business side and development of Montreal.
Excellent way to get a feel of old Montreal and Sarah was very knowledgeable - and more importantly, local!

This tour is an absolute MUST DO if you're visiting Montreal for the first time. We booked both the morning and afternoon tours with Thomas - and what a delight! Thomas has lived in Montreal for many years. We appreciated his knowledge of history, architecture, folklore - and especially his wit and humor! We're so glad we did this tour as our very first activity in Montreal. Thanks to Thomas, this beautiful city became even more alive for us!

A wonderful in-depth tour. Our tour guide Laura was very informative and warm. We opted for both the East [AM] and West [PM] tours. The East focuses on the Québécois influence and history while the West on the British one. Bring comfortable shoes as there is plenty of walking on cobblestone streets and uneven sidewalks. Laura Will also recommend restaurants and shops. A funny aside she recommended a restaurant that serves Cubano sandwiches. We shared a good laugh as my wife and I are Cuban born and raised in Miami, Florida where such sandwiches are as abundant as the sun. We would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky to have Laura as your guide so much the better.

Excellent tour with Lise
Interesting, funny, perfect timing. Really enjoyed and would recommend it. We did the 1.5 hour tour in the morning but there was a part 2 that we didn’t do in the afternoon but we’re tempted.

History walking tour of Montreal was a very enlightening experience. I'm new to Montreal and wanted to know about it's heritage. I got this reference and ticket reservation from Trip advisor.

The tour was well managed. The guide was awesome. He took active interest in ensuring we had a great experience. The tour qas organized into small groups of about 10 people and two separate tours for eastern and western sides of old Montreal. I would recommend people to take both as it will give a complete view of the history and cultural legacy of the city.

I would suggest this tour as a starting point to anyone interesting in exploring more about Montréal and Canadian history and its cultural heritage.
