    Great, Informative and Entertaining Tour
We did the Heart of Old Quebec City audiotour. We really enjoyed it - it helped give really interesting context to a lot of places we have walked right by before. The taped narrator was entertaining and informative. The "track by GPS" feature is great because you can go at your own pace. (Also very funny: the "Not All Wanderers are Lost" helper message we received when we deviated into our hotel for a minute! The only shortcoming we found was that the tour history begins when the Europeans arrived and ignores native populations' existence. Quebec seems to value native art and culture in general - I hope this can get integrated into this tour in the future. An excellent value at only $7 US.

Perfect way to see Old Quebec City
A great introduction to the deep history of Old Quebec City. Marie was totally knowledgeable, her English was perfect, and she kept the pace manageable for 60-year-olds. We took the morning (10AM) tour and had the afternoon for touring the Citadel & Plains of Abraham.

Excellent Old Quebec Private Walking Tour
We had a delightful private walking tour of Old Quebec with Helen, who is native to the City. She was very knowledgeable about the City’s history, architecture and lesser known facts and paths. Her enthusiasm about Quebec made the tour very enjoyable. We spent about 2 hours in the upper portion of Old Town and 30 min in the lower.

Great guide— beautiful city full of history
Our guide Louise was delightful. She provided a wonderful narrative, full of history and illustrations. It is obvious she loves her city! We felt that we saw all the main things to see in the old town on this tour. It concluded in the lower part of the city that had lots of shops and restaurants for us to wonder through and find a nice lunch spot. The history and the beauty of the area makes this a great tour. For me, I appreciated the historical context provided and the sights we saw. Thanks for a great tour! One thing that might be nice is to provide info on parking options nearby. Unfortunately we were not expecting the marathon happening the same day as our tour which made it a little stressful to get to where we needed meet. I would say to allow extra time to get to where you need to be—I have a feeling that there is stuff going on on weekends all the time. Even if you are early, there is a lot to see right there in the area.

Carol, our guide, for the 2 hour walking tour of Quebec City, was very informative, encouraged questions, used our time wisely and exhibited lots of positive energy regarding her lovely, Quebec City! Taking this tour brought history together, feeling like we were a part of the events. We highly recommend this tour.

    Outstanding Viking Tour!
Neil shared his love for Quebec with us today. It was rainy but it did not dampen our experience in the least! He was fun, informative, personable and professional. By far one of the best guides we have ever encountered! Plus he grew up in Minnesota😀

5/5 Stars for Christian's Riveting Tour!
On August 7th, 2023, I went on the Old Quebec City: 2-Hour Grand Walking Tour at 12:00pm, and it was an incredible experience! My tour guide, Christian, was extremely knowledgeable as well as entertaining, with a definite flair for storytelling! Though I'm from Ontario and I felt that I knew a decent amount about Quebec's history, Christian's informative account proved that there was a wealth of fascinating information I never encountered growing up. What a fun time! This tour was one of the highlights of my trip, giving layered meaning to the geographic landmarks and historical architecture I encountered as I toured the city. Thanks, Christian, for rounding up my knowledge of Quebec's colourful history! I lived in TX for 6 years and it was riveting to learn how much both TX and QC were shaped by internal strife to become "nations within nations." A few notes: We did descend some stairs to Place-Royale, though we took the Funicular back up to the main level. The trip should not be difficult unless you have extreme problems standing or using some stairs. It was a very leisurely walk with a lot of stops. Use the bathroom beforehand! My trip lasted 2.5 hours (which I was happy about!). We don't actually go inside the churches and buildings we pass, so give yourself time after your tour to take a look if you care to do so. Note that most of these churches close at 5pm. - Alexandra Balasa (Burlington, ON)

    Fantastic informative walking tour
We completed an English guided walking tour with “Tours voir Quebec” on June 19 morning. Our guide Louise was amazing! She is fluently bilingual, is very knowledgeable, generous with her time and has a great sense of humour. She always kept the group together, moving at a good steady pace while respecting people’s walking ability. Would greatly recommend!!!

We always like to have a private tour of a town we have visited for the first time to learn the history of the city. The was an outstanding tour. Since it was private our guide was able to take extra time to explain about thing we were interested in and skip over things we did not care about. The guide was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the region. The personal touch in information gained from a good guide can shed a entirely different light on the city and region that a person would never gain from simply walking around a town.

MAY 1st visit. Francis was a wonderful guide: attentive to our wants and needs, informative and fun. We were a tough audience as I am a tour guide as well in another city and my boyfriend had no interest in doing this tour.
It ended with him being impressed with everything he learned and me having nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend this company.

While the tour guide was kind, she did not provide a cohesive tour. She rambled from stopping point to stopping point without giving us proper history and in-depth knowledge of the site or context to the overall city history . I could have just as easily read a tour book to gain the same information. I expect tours to provide more interesting and in-depth information. I also expect a history timeline of the city. I did not gain any of that.

Bonjour, we are very sad that you did not enjoy your tour with us. We ask our guides to always go beyond the simple description of guide books and we are convinced that is what they do. In order for us to do a proper follow up, is it possible to communicate with us in order to give more information about your guide, please? Either by email at info@voirquebec.ca or by phone at 1-866-694-2001. Thank you!

Marie was a wonderful tour guide. She is broadly knowledgeable about the history of Quebec and able to tell that story in a clear and cohesive fashion as we walked through the old city. She was always eager to listen to and answer tour questions and was also made many wonderful connections that we would have missed if we were on our own. She knows quite a lot about architectural styles and we particularly enjoyed her observations about the differences between early French and English architectural styles and how those reflected different approaches to domestic life. Her deep personal connections to the city were evident throughout the tour, most especially when we stopped at the school she had attended and where, prompted by us (both retired school administrators) told us stories about the school's history and gave us a tour of its chapel. All in all: a fascinating tour with a premiere guide.

Our English speaking guide Clarice was perfect for our group. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. She gave us great information and stories. She is an excellent ambassador for her city. She entertained and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. The evening after our tour, we tried a vegan restaurant called Le Don that she recommended (even though we are not vegan), and it was fabulous -- highly recommend. Clarice made our 2 1/2 hour tour of Quebec educational and enjoyable. A great experience.

Having a private tour was the perfect way to explore the city at our own pace and learn so much about the city’s history. Our guide Dominique was so knowledgeable and passionate and shared so many facts and stories throughout the tour! We never would have experienced so much without a guide. Thoroughly enjoyed our walk!

We had a excellent experience with Tours Voir Quebec! On January 27th, 2024 my partner and I took a private tour with our wonderful guide, Dominique. Dominique was very personable, professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and gave us a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the history, architecture, and culture of Quebec City. I think a private tour is a great value if it's in your budget ($200 for up to 7 people). We were able to have richer discussions and focus on topics that most interested us.

Tours Voir Quebec has a great product, booking online was easy, and customer service was very responsive. Seems like a well run organization that can be trusted.

Marie-Christine was knowledgeable and able to share historical and cultural information on Quebec City. She readily responded to questions from our group of four friends - 2 Canadians and 2 Americans - and all felt the tour provided a wonderful introduction and overview for further explorations. She asked us what we wanted to see and made sure the tour was customized for us. She is a vivacious, energetic person and was fun to be with.

Carole Parent was the tour guide for this private walking tour. She was affable, informative, interesting and we learned a lot about Canadian history while walking through historic areas. A significant amount of walking was involved and this would be difficult for someone with impaired mobility. In addition to historical sites, we saw street art and learned a bit about the local culture. This was an informative tour and we would recommend this. (We were a group of 5 adults- 2 seniors and 3 in their 30's.)

Fabulous morning walking about Old Quebec City learning about the history of the cit, it's buildings, and the origins of its beginnings. Provided great perspective to the French cultural roots and a deeper understanding and respect for Quebec.

The private tour allowed me to ask questions as needed and experience a personal sharing from a native Quebec resident
