Too much shopping, not enough touring
The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, but a two-hour tour included a half hour break on a shopping street, and finished 15 minutes early, so it was really an hour and 15 minutes. The shorter trip would have been ok (without the stop for shopping) but then the fee should have been less as well.

      Sightseeing Tour
We enjoyed the tour of Quebec City. Gave us ideas of where else we wanted to visit. The tour guide/bus driver was very knowledgeable and informative.

Scam Company - Did not receive the ticket paid for
The company is a scam. I paid for my tour at their office, they provided me with a piece of paper that they said was the 'ticket.' It was not a real ticket. Steer clear.

Trip sofar so good except the fact some of cabbies took advantage of tourists often try to fleece them.
Views amazingly took some photos. We- nt KLCC 4 dinner then to Petronas Twin Tower sightseeings left@8.45pm waited 2hrs for taxi fr 9pm-11pm but to no avail unless one is willing to pay cabby an exorbitant price of MYR100-MYR300 for 5minutes' drive to Berjaya Square think that is ridiculous so we all decided to walk back.

Montmorency Falls and St Anne de Beaupre Tour
The driver (Jean) was very knowledgeable and engaging. We had a chance to see some of the areas outside of Quebec City which were beautiful - particularly Ile D’Orleans. The Basilica of Ste Anne de Beaupre was stunning. Montmorency Falls was impressive and offered a variety of activities. Our criticism comes about a stop at a copper art gallery. We were there at least 40 minutes. We would have much preferred more time at the Basilica where our visit felt rushed. At the Falls, we arrived about 45 minutes before closing which made some people reluctant to take advantage of the many activities available there. Overall, it was an enjoyable tour and the driver was very entertaining but the stop at the art gallery was overlong and interfered with time at more touristy attractions.

      Not great
Was very hard to figure out the route and schedule. It doesn't arrive at the stops very often, had to wait for 30 minute, and then the bus was very full. We didn't realize when it stopped running for the day, and we were left to walk 20 minutes back to our hotel.

Hop-On; Hop-Off tours are a good way to get an overview
The thing I liked most about this tour was that the commentary was pre-recorded and you listed to it through head phones. It was easy to understand what was being said, unlike a similar tour we took in Montreal where the tour guide had to speak in both English and French.

      Frustrating experience
The sound system didn’t work half the time. It was frustrating constantly trying to retune it to channel 2. We missed half the trip.

Good but average Hop On/Hop Off Tour Bus.
Personnel were friendly and courteous. Bus was clean. They were out of maps of the tour routing. The tour's route sufficiently hit the highlights of Quebec. The top is open and we were warned about overhanging tree branches. Sure enough, I still got swiped by the end of a branch (just enough to catch your attention). The pre-recorded tour information was available in 10 languages. In between these descriptions, music was played. Would have preferred silence! All in all, it was a good but average hop on/hop off tour and worth the $50 for two days.

      Great personal service!!
Despite a bus with some voice highlight audio malfunctions the tour was saved by an excellent driver who did his very best to personally comment on highlights! At the end of the tour and late in the day the driver even drove the bus to the ship’s dock!!!

Great way to get orientated on first day!
Great way to discover a city on the first day. Gets you orientated and then able to make decisions on specifics you want to see. Old Quebec City is fabulous - one could be in France. Loved trying to speak my school girl French. I highly recommend Hop-On Hop-Off buses wherever you are. Cheers from New Zealand

Good way to see the City
Good route although drivers had difficulty keeping to any schedule. Narration was well done and speakers all appeared to work with various translations. Took both the red and blue routes. The falls and that area are a ways out of town.

We booked this tour thinking the maximum number of tourists would be up to 45. DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR. We were on a double decker bus (Unitours) over 70 people. It was so crowded we could not sit with family, ended up sitting alone. The falls were the only enjoyable part of the tour. Note, the bus drops you off below the falls, and you will need to pay additional to take the tram up to see the falls. You can uber or take a different tour where they drop you off at the top, and its a short walk to the falls. Not worth the price or the time wasted driving around the country side with a very large group.

Our bus tour driver was excellent. Very informative, very funny, a very nice delivery. Safe driver and very knowledgeable about the area.

Our one disappointment was the stop at the chocolatier. There were 3 buses of tourists and others all descended at the same time. It was just ridiculous and very poorly planned which is no fault of our driver. The touring companies must do a better job of planning these excursions. Don’t plan for 3 bus loads of people to visit a place that cannot handle more than 30 people at a time.

My sister and I booked this tour because we were excited to see the Montmorency Falls and the Ste Anne Basilica. The tour offered us a brief visit to both locations but not enough time to fully experience either. The tour includes a drive to Isle d'Orleans with a 20 minute stop at a nice chocolate/ice cream shop. There was also a stop at a copper art gallery. I would have preferred not to have these 2 stops included in the tour, allowing more time to explore the falls and Bascilica. I expected that a guided tour of the Bascilica was included but it was not. We were dropped off in the parking lot with no direction of where to go. The front of the building was under construction and we had to find an alternate entrance and in 40 minutes had to be back on the bus. The visit to the falls was disappointing. Not only was the cable car to the top of the falls not included, but the bus driver told us not to take the cable car because it takes too much time to wait for the return cable car and we'd miss the bus. I am not healthy enough to walk up over 400 stairs so was not able to see the top of the falls from the suspension bridge. More time is required at the falls as the cable car is the best part of the visit and the cost should have been included.

    Too ambitious!
First of all, having this trip on a double-decker bus with 78 people was not optimum. Descending the mob on a chocolate/ice cream store was nuts. (There was NO place to take pictures and the shop itself was a tourist trap.)
Second, the trip was ill-advised for traffic (we spent a huge chunk of time trying to get over the bridge). We were always running late, between the large crowd, tardy passengers, detours that they should have known about, and taking side trips to see neighborhoods.
The bus driver was knowledgeable but too opinionated. Give us the information and let us make up our mind.
The copper art museum was interesting but sending 78 people in at once was impractical.
The Montmorency Falls was a good stop.
The end of the trip was a debacle with the church closed and our return to Quebec City almost 2 hours late.

An excellent tour with Jean Pierre our knowledgeable and engaging driver/guide!
This tour was excellent value and enabled us to appreciate more of the history of Quebec. I would suggest cutting the Chocolaterie and spending longer at the Falls but nevertheless succumbed to an enjoyable ice cream!!

The visit to the Giles Family Copper exhibition and St Anne de Beaupre Basillica was a great way to complete the tour but wish we had had 10 minutes more to take communion at the mass.
Thank you Jean Pierre you obviously love your job!!

An enjoyable half a day tour, including stop at the Ile d’Orleans chocolate shop, visit the Albert Gilles Copper Museum/shop, Ste. Anne de Beaupre church and the Montmorency Falls. Marcel was excellent, informative, friendly. He loves to share his stories and his knowledge as he was growing up in that area. Enjoyed every stop and enough time each stop. Marcel always made sure that everyone was back on the bus, than you so much Marcel. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Hard to choose a favorite part! Being in a 28-person bus was just right, as well as the amount of time allowed at each stop. Our English-speaking driver Gary was a total professional! We had been in Quebec City for several days (without a car) so this trip really oriented us to the larger city and region, as well as grounding us in the history & lives of early settlers.

Due to a protest, the bus was late for 1 hour so we had to walk for 10 minutes to another bus and then all of the stops were cut short. I was really looking forward to the falls and the church for a sightseeing experience and we were given 30-35 minutes for each destination, shorter as compared to the reviews on this webpage which was really fleeting if you are not returning to Quebec City. I personally think 35 minutes in a miraculous church to pray and see most of it is really a very short time. And we were given the same time to see the falls, I really wish it was longer because the falls were really beautiful and there was even a rainbow at the bottom of it. Although the tour guide Jean was really funny and knowledgeable, I would say the overall experience is unforgettable and incredible.

The tour was delayed due to a bike race so we expected some adjustments as a result. However, the two main events, Montmorency Falls and Ste.-Anne-de-Beaupre were given the same amount of time as the ice cream stop and the copper workshop. We had 30 minutes at each. It felt like it was more important for the tour operator to get us to gift shops rather than the headlining cultural and natural sites. We arrived late at the Basilica so there was a Mass going on, which limited our ability to fully access this remarkable landmark while also making our visit feel intrusive to those attempting to worship. Even with limited access, the 30 minutes allotted for this stop were wholly inadequate. Our final stop, Montmorency Falls, was the greatest disappointment. Not because of the splendor of the falls but because we arrived so late, we could not take the tram to the top. Our visit was limited to viewing the falls from below. And again, we were given only 30 minutes, the same time for the ice cream stop. At the end of the tour, the drop off point was not the same as the pick up point, as had been promised in our correspondence with the company. The driver/guide spoke at length about whales and little about the flora and fauna we were actually passing. When asked a question about a particular field of plants we passed numerous times, he replied with a dismissive and snarky answer and walked away. I would never use this tour company again.

This was the perfect choice for a half day tour! We were met at a different spot due to construction in the city, but they were very visible and had someone there to answer our questions. Our guide was very enjoyable, throwing humor in wherever he had the opportunity, and giving us little bits of information concerning what we were seeing, and where we were going. We started out on the Ille de Orleans, which was quaint and picturesque. We stopped at a Chocolatier shop which offered ice cream, sandwiches and lots of opportunities to buy chocolate; then proceeded on to Cuivres D'Art Albert Gilles, which is a museum and copper shop. We found this to be extremely interesting, hearing about the family history and looking at their beautiful copperwork, some of which is displayed at the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, our next stop. What a fantastic cathedral! The pope visited there a year ago and so I'm sure we were seeing it at its best. The last stop was Montmorency Falls...I had no illusions about seeing something like Niagara Falls, and so was not disappointed. It was too early for the gondola's to be running, so we did not get a view from the top, although we were assured we could climb up there if we wanted. There really was no time to do that, but it is pretty impressive from the ground view, and shows the power and sheer force of water for sure. Overall, I felt enough time was given at each place, never felt like we did not have access to bathrooms, or went without opportunities for a drink. The bus was clean and did not feel overcrowded or hot. I am impressed with the fact that so many Canadians speak bilingually, and so well. (applause!) But it was slightly disconcerting to have the guide go from French to English to French without pausing, so just English would have made it a little easier to follow. But that is a very small complaint next to all the positive things we experienced on this tour. Highly recommend this tour!
