About the operator
- LeahSydney0100Bike tour to Montmorency FallsThis tour was great. Bike shop easy to find, staff very helpful. The bike tracks to Montmorency were mostly flat so the cycling was fairly easy. Not many road crossings and they were all at traffic lights and supervised by our guide. Our guide Benoit was informative and friendly. I would recommend this to anybody who enjoys cycling.
- kelleypie00Don't Miss This Tour-It is GreatWe booked this tour through our Chase Travel and it was a wonderful experience. The tour began at 9 a.m. and the meeting place at a Bike shop was an easy walk from our hotel that was in Old Quebec. Our guide was Paul and he was excellent. Our group was only 4, with 2 of us on E bikes and the other 2 on regular bikes. The bike trails in Quebec are amazing I wish we had trails like this in the area we live in in Texas. The scenery was wonderful and truly the bike trail to Montmorency Falls was not really hilly at all. The E bike users did use assist some but not all of the time. Once to the Falls we took the cable car up to the top which was also a great experience. It was not terribly crowded the day we were they and the weather was wonderful. The falls are amazing. We walked across the suspension bridge to the other side of the falls also. Our tour guide gave us good history information not only about the falls but other information about Quebec City. We throughly enjoyed this tour and it was a great way to get some activity in to offset the wonderful food we had been eating in Quebec City. On the way back to town our tour guide Paul also took us to a couple of places for some more history. I recommend this tour to all ages, don't let the thought of riding 19 miles keep you from doing this. Get an E bike if you are concerned you cannot keep up with the group. You can use the assist if you like and if you want to. This tour has it all! Don't miss it.
- davidhF9019GO00A Trip You Won't Soon Forget! Our experience with this tour was very good. We chose it because of its high ratings and touring via bike is often a great way to see a city. The distance of the tour, however, was not stated in its description and we regrettably failed to ask. This is a 20+ mile ride and for those casual riders like us we suggest you opt for the more comfortable e-bikes. The bicycles we were assigned were probably expensive and smooth shifting but their seats were very uncomfortable and are best suited for use with padded biker shorts or some sort of slip-on pad. Thankfully, the entire path was paved and mainly flat making for easy peddling. The "guided" part of the tour included a few somewhat interesting venues on the way to the Falls. The Falls themselves, at the halfway point of the tour, was fabulous and fun to explore. With this information in hand I highly recommend this tour.
- Culture5674288203900Bike RentalWe had a one day stop in Quebec on an ocean cruise. We had rented city bikes to do a 4 hour ride to the falls on our own. Unfortunately the day was extremely windy. We stopped in to the bike shop to explain that we would have to cancel due to high winds. Marc was very helpful and suggested that we could to it with e-bikes. Having never really ridden e-bikes he gave us thorough instructions and explained map and directions. We had a wonderful ride (bike trail the whole way) and the falls were spectacular.
- kyrar66700Make sure to get E BikeThe tour guide was great, forgot his name. However, me and my mom opted for regular bikes, not e-bikes (which the e bike was an extra 25 per person). While the ride itself was mostly flat, the pace was extremely fast, because everyone else in our group had e-bikes. There were times we were so far behind we couldnt even see the guide. We didnt want to slow down the group, so we managed to keep up the best we could, but for 16 miles you can only bike so fast. The rest of our group basically had the bike do the work for them! If you do the tour I recommend the e-bikes, but the tour guide didnt say at the beginning that we would be going at an e bike pace, so we assumed we would be totally fine as we bike quite often.
- msl195400Great half day bicycle tour.Great experience. We took our own bicycles but bikes provided to others in the group were good. Pedal assist and conventional geared bikes were available. This is an out and back tour. Our guide, a local quebecois, provided a lot of historic background along the ride. Apart from a short stretch under the main highway the scenery was great. Montmorency Falls we’re beautiful, even in the Fall when we visited. I understand they are more spectacular in the spring. We did this ride the first day of our three day stay in the area and it was a great start.
- pamo20700Great Ride to the FallsPaul was our guide to the falls on a beautiful fall day. Two us rented e-bikes and 2 rented regular bikes. Careful care was taken to make certain that we were outfitted correctly for our ride although my breaks were squeaky and my husband's bike was creaky. They were solid bikes but definitely needed a bit of adjusting. The ride itself was very doable and Paul took rider experience into account as he set the pace. The falls were spectacular and we definitely had enough time there to enjoy the experience. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride and our time at the falls.
- Exploration44985900Bike excursion to MobtmorencyGreat ride! Wonderful day! Our guide Benoit was both informative and entertaining - he made the trip a total pleasure!
- hallie91800Great staff, good bikesVery kinda staff that let us reschedule to another day because the original day we booked it was raining. They helped adjust our bikes to make sure they were comfortable. We rented the bikes and then took the ferry to Levis. The kind staff gave us a map and showed us where we could bike in Levis. Since we ended up during 15+ miles, next time I would probably rent the electric because we were tired at the end
- Mobile0099447717500Great bike ride to fallsExcellent !! We especially enjoyed our guide. He was most helpful and attentive to our questions and needs.
- Michelle S00Beautiful bike rideLoved the bike ride to/from the falls. The falls were so beautiful! Pierre/tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly!
- amandaSD43300Flexible and Friendly Bike Rentals In Quebec CityWe had a fabulous 2 hours biking along the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City. The staff at Echo Sports were kind and patient as they fitted my daughters for their bikes. Very flexible about what time we needed to be back- and stayed out an extra hour to have lunch. Definitely recommend renting from Echo Sports- next time our youngest will be a bit older and we will do one of the guided tours. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
- A1015ZHsusanm00Perfect way to spend the morningThe ride was flat and almost completely on bike paths. Great guide gave us a lot of local information.
- erico81100Morning bike tripExcellent tour with top notch tour guide. Very knowledgeable, set a comfortable pace, and PATIENT! They upgraded to the e-bikes at no charge because so few of us! Great way to see Quebec waterfront and Montmorency Falls.
- Jamie F00Great bikes & friendly serviceThe service was excellent. We were a group of anglophones and had no problems there. The bikes were good quality and serviced well.

We had Benoit as our guide on a 2.5 hour history tour along the St. Lawrence River bike path. He is a great guide with a lot of knowledge about the origins of Quebec and its history as a French, then English, colony. Benoit is a Quebec native and a former journalist and so he has a unique perspective on the city. We were the only two on the tour and we benefitted from this and got the "personal touch." The bikes were in good condition and the ride was fairly easy, with only a couple of hills. We had regular bikes, rather than ebikes.

It was a fun first time ebike experience. The instructions and ride is great for those comfortable on a bike but who want a lot less effort. Tour guides were great. Effortless registration. Great historical information. For bike riding enthusiasts it’s a bit slow of a ride. For historical buffs again limited in that access to sites is not part of tour as it would obviously take a long time. Great for first visit and first tour to get bearings. If you’ve already been on a guided tour and just want to ebike there are alternate half day rentals at about half the cost

It always depends on your needs. With a city full of history and great scenery as Québec the tour could last for days...
Thank you!

Pierre was an excellent tour guide with a great ability to bring history alive and make it memorable. Ebikes were perfect for covering a lot of ground very difficult to do by foot or on regular bikes given the hills. An excellent way to get an overview of the city on your first day. One caveat. This is a history of Quebec (and Canada) tour. Not much focus on the present day city, mostly the old city, upper and lower. It was perfect for what we wanted!

We took a 3 hour electric bike tour of old Quebec City with Simon Jacobs. It was a great experience and Simon was very knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. The electric bikes are a game changer for this tour since there is quite a bit of uphill travel and the bike makes it easy. We have used many guides in our travels around the world and Simon was definitely one of the best!

Benoit was très magnifique. Charming, knowledgeable and welcoming.
Pace of riding was customized for us and we always felt comfortable and safe. Lots of local and historical knowledge sprinkled with colorful bon mots about locals through the centuries.
Highest recommendation.

We loved the electric bike tour of Old Quebec City! It was really fun (and essential!) to have an electric bike with all of the hills, especially the fun bike path we travelled up. Beautiful path along the water and then to many sites that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Paul, our guide was very knowledgeable about OQ history and knew all the ins and outs. The only thing we would have liked better was to spend more time riding along the water front the other way towards the cruise terminal and just riding non stop in general! So fun to explore this way, a must do :)

Everything went pretty well at first. We enjoyed the first stretch which was about 20 to 30 minutes with minimal stops. Our guide was an older gentleman and was very nice. However, as the bicycle tour got more challenging, we started stopping about every 200 yards. About the time we would get going he would pull over and give us another history lesson. It was unseasonably hot, and we were not always in the shade. Three hours later we were all done in and ready for it to be over. I wouldn’t call it a bicycle tour. I would call it a history tour. I did learn a lot, but I do not think I bicycle tour is a good idea for a history tour unless you have earphones . I will pay closer attention to that in the future.

Madame,
We have been running bike tours for several years and overall we have very good reviews. Doing a historical bike tour is a great idea either in Québec or elsewhere.
I will check with your guide to see what happened. I am surprise that he did so many stops. Also i will make sure that in the future he will be more attentive to the needs of the clients.

Our guide, Paul, provided an amazing tour of a beautiful, historic city! Despite an hour of rainy riding, we enjoyed a delightful ride with the best guide ever. Special thanks to Paul for coming in to help when our planned guide did not show up. The Echo Sports staff was great and the equipment outstanding. Thank you for one of the highlights of our Quebec City vacation.

We had a short visit in Quebec City so walking wouldn’t work. E-bikes we’re very powerful so even steeper streets were a piece of cake! Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Overall a wonderful experience.

We haven’t used e-bikes before. When the bike is being assisted, does the rider still have to pedal, or can their legs be stationary. I have arthritis and not sure if the repetitive motion of assisted pedalling will be a problem, or if my knees can stay stationary when needed?
Bonjour,
Merci
