      Old Quebec in Depth
This was a food tour of full meals, not just tiny bites! We were told to "come hungry", and were glad we did, when our excellent tour guide, Lynn Rochefort, and her intern, Clara, took my husband and I on a tour of four superlative Quebec City restaurants - with a tomato burrata salad at Va Bene, an Italian restaurant (veggies from the region), a bowl of incredible onion soup made with beer at a microbrewery, Archibald, an amazing meal of shrimp in lobster sauce cooked tableside at the Continental, Quebec City's oldest restaurant, and an original food offering at Le Clan, with farm to table style, and a young chef that is probably due a Michelin star! The tour was well worth the price, and the history of the area was icing on the cake, as it were! She showed us a giant mural of the history of the founding of Quebec City, and led us through some beautiful areas in the early history of QC. It was the perfect way to see the less touristy places in Quebec City.

Combo Historical & food tour in Old Quebec with Emilie.
I can’t say enough about this incredible experience! The food we tasted was absolutely amazing, and the insights into the history, culture, and culinary traditions of Old Quebec were beautifully presented. Emilie was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for a fantastic time!

Great tour and Tour Guide - Carol !
We met at an easy to find address on a lovely winters day . We were very lucky to have Carol as our guide . She was very well informed , knew Quebec City very well , and had a great sense of humour. Also nice !the 2 hour tour made the city come alive and painted the long history of this area . Carol ties this in well to today’s world, which was excellent . Can’t recommend enough , had a great tour !

      Great Quebec Restaurants
Overall, we enjoyed this tour. We were able to eat at some incredible restaurants and enjoy some amazing food. It was just my wife and I, so it felt like a private tour and we were able to chat with our guide throughout the tour. They were also to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions, which is super helpful since not all food tours are able to do this. I was disappointed to receive little to no information about what we were eating, how it connected to the region or Quebec food in general.

      Enjoyable night out!
A nice variety of dishes from some of the city’s nicest restaurants, without having to wait or make decisions about what to order. Most if not all courses included an adult beverage. Much of the food seemed to take advantage of locally sourced ingredients including foods native to the area.

This tour was a food-history hit!
Luis was great! Fantastic attitude, open to questions, and had a little bit of historical trivia as we walked. Full disclosure: This tour is definitely more geared towards foodies than history buffs - you won't get a history class lesson on the English vs the French, but much more information about the culture and food in old Quebec. He pointed out a lot of historical significance about the buildings (especially the restaurants) and architecture along the way, and his advice was invaluable for finding gems we wouldn't have otherwise known to eat at later. The food continues to ramp up and get better and better at each stop. We ended up booking a reservation for the last stop for the following night, and had brunch at one of his recommendations that wasn't in the tour. This was a great way to find the gems and skip the tourist traps.

Amazing way to get acquainted with Quebec
Had the most amazing walking tour with Louis! He knew everything about the history and shared it in such an engaging manner. Truly one of the best tours we have been on and was the best way to start our visit to this charming city. Highly recommend this tour, and Loius, to anyone traveling to Quebec!!

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide, Lynn, was friendly and very knowledgeable on the history and culture of Quebec. Very informative and enjoyable! We had some complications due to travel delays and the management was very helpful in accommodating us. Much appreciated! I would highly recommend this tour and company if you are visiting Quebec.

      Delicious and informative!
We had a perfect time Carol as our guide! It was a small group on the tour and we enjoyed every moment. Food tours are becoming my favorite way to see a new city. The food was excellent and choice of restaurants was great. We learned history, culture, and gained full bellies. Communication beforehand was also excellent and very easy. I highly recommend both this company and the gourmet food tour itself.

Luis, our tour guide, was informative, interesting and enthusiastic about Quebec City. Our 4 restaurants offered scrumptious meals and beverages...I would return to all of them! And we are returning to one for dinner tomorrow. Very worthwhile culinary tour. Merci beaucoup!

Luis was perfect! Even though the day was quite windy and cold, his warmth made all of the difference. What a pleasure to take a tour with someone who is invested in the history and the beauty that is Old Quebec. He linked our previous tour experience to his guided tour and pulled it all together for us. He has a great sense of humor and a detailed understanding of the stories that make Old Quebec so special. He was also kind enough to give us recommendations for a lovely lunch after the tour. I highly recommend this personalized tour that will be the foundation of so many memories that will remain.

It took a lot of courage for me to write about our brief stay in Quebec City, simply because it was such a picturesque town that I didn’t think I had enough vocabulary to describe it. In addition we were only here for 10 hours, a time too short for us to absorb the beauty of the city. Yet with its rich blend of French and English heritage, Quebec City exudes a unique charm that transports us back in time.

I had the pleasure of joining a walking tour led by Joanna, a local guide who enriched the experience with her historical knowledge and vibrant storytelling. With golden hair and a subtle French accent, Joanna was a captivating presence. She proudly called herself The King’s Daughter, a term of pride that pays homage to the orphaned girls sent by the French King to settle and help build the city.

Within a single day we got experience the change of seasons, from the golden autumn to a windy and snowy winter. Our tour began under the sunshine in the cobbled streets of Old Quebec, reminiscent of other maritime cities like Sydney and Hong Kong. The streets were lined with three-story stone buildings topped with tin roofs, reflecting a history shaped by resilience after fires destroyed the original wooden structures in the 1700s and 1800s. We walked past significant landmarks, including the first Ursuline school, founded in the 1600s for girls’ education.

Soon we found ourselves walking against the wind and in the snow. Desperate to take a shelter away from the cold, we were delighted to take the Funicular up to the Chateau Frontenac, a stunning architectural masterpiece that has become the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Arriving here felt like stepping into a grand painting, with the winds sweeping snowflakes around us—a testament to Quebec City’s unpredictable yet beautiful weather.

We sought refuge from the cold with afternoon tea at the Fairmont, a delightful way to unwind and absorb the historical elegance of the hotel. The tea service was both warm and refined, offering an array of teas and delicate pastries in a setting that effortlessly blended old-world charm with comfort.

Our guide Denis was exceptional at his job! Before we even got to the lobby of the hotel, he proactively was waiting for us to start the tour and was extremely easy to talk to. Before even leaving the hotel we knew he was concerned for our safety as we talked about the cold and accessed if we were adequately clothed before leaving. He brought hand warmers in the event we needed them. We knew we were in good hands before even starting the tour.

The knowledge, the knowledge! Denis had it and presented it with detail, enthusiasm and personality. He loved the city himself and was enthusiastic to tell us all about it. He continued to ask and notice how we were doing in the cold as it was around 10F. There was no issue to decide to smartly take a break from the cold and enjoy a cup of coffee with one another where we talked one on one and still continued to talk about tour topics.

He also was good at keeping our attention by talking about interesting things, stories and asking us questions as well as answering any questions we had for him as did the tour.

Denis also recommended some things to do while we were in the city including the Parliament Tour. Something I don't think we would have thought of knew existed without Denis telling us. Thank you Denis for a great tour to start off our 3 days in Quebec City and being so engaged despite the possible distraction of it being January in Quebec City. It was a highlight and great way to start our visit. Thank you for being so good at what you do!

We took our parents to Quebec City over the Easter long weekend and had booked this tour in advance. We had the pleasure of Dominique's company. She immediately asked us if we wanted less story, more walking, or less walking, more stories. As our parents are in the 75+ range we opted for a smaller perimeter and more details and Dominique did not disappoint. Her knowledge of Quebec and Canadian history is staggering, and her storytelling technique is warm, friendly, playful, and captivating. Our tour was an hour and a half long and felt like only minutes. We can't recommend this tour enough, especially if you can request Dominique. I imagine her colleagues are equally as learned and captivating, but we would definitely request Dominique again the next time we're in the city.

Our guide, Yves, was fantastic. He was highly informative and fun. He guided us through the streets of the lower Old Town and then we took the funicular to the upper Québec City. There we toured all the highlights including the fabulous historic Frontenac Hotel (a Fairmont hotel).
    I highly recommend him.

Pierre was on time, accommodating and very knowledgeable. He was willing to go to and visit sites that were of interest to us. He provided in depth detail about the history of the city and recommendations for dining and shopping after our tour was finished. He asked our comfort level for walking. We are walkers so we did at least 4 miles of walking around the city.

He recommended other sites to visit during the remainder of our stay. Best city tour we have ever experienced by far!

This 3 hour private walking tour of Quebec City was exceptional! Pierre’s attention to detail, depth of knowledge, and kindness to his clients was more than we expected. He tailored the entire tour to our needs and was a gracious and well-informed tour guide— much more than the 5 stars rating can show. Quality plus experience sums up this tour today. Thank you to Pierre!
