- melissagD3224GH0 contributionsWorth the time and money! Excellent experience!Excellent tour! Incorporated culture, history and modern sites. I always debate if booking a walking tour is worth it when traveling, but this didn’t disappoint. Ann was a wonderful tour guide!Written January 19, 2025
- glorimarm20160 contributionsEssential! This is a must-do experience! I learned so much about the city as well as the province of Quebec and the country of Canada. I was able to have a deeper appreciation for the architecture and the culture after this tour. My only regret is that I didn’t do this tour sooner! It would behoove you to do this tour as early as possible on your trip, especially if you are a not a French speaker. Mark was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the culture of modern day Quebec, as well as its history. He also was very conscious of the cold and keeping us comfortable. It was a great time!Written January 3, 2025

Recently, a small group of high school students from Maine, USA, went to experience Quebec history through Virtual Reality Tour. It was a great way to teach them about Quebec History in an entertaining manner. Later on, as we walked the streets of old Québec or the plains of Abraham, we would recall what we had learned during our virtual reality experience. The kids loved the games after the show, more than this old teacher did! All in all it was a great activity that I would recommend doing early in your Quebec visit.

An amazing experience that we would highly recommend. Our family all enjoyed it and each of us appreciated learning more about Quebec's history in this very special way. Sebastien and his team made us feel very welcome and their enthusiasm over what they had created was contagious. We were the only ones in the theatre and they made us feel special and like they had all the time in the world to answer our questions. Merci!

We are so glad that you enjoyed the show. So many hours of work went into creating this VR experience, using the topography and maps through time to recreate the growth of this city.

Before visiting the city's historic landmarks, go see this presentation first! It's inexpensive and fun. The video graphics could use a bit of an update for resolution but you walk away feeling like you were there when Champlain landed and for the battle of the Plains of Abraham. Great little off the beaten path activity for the whole family.

Visited with my granddaughter 14 years old. What a success! She said if history could be taught like this, she would love it. Accurate non-biased history starting with our original inhabitants, the First Nations. My first experience wearing those goggles to experience virtual reality. Great fun and they fit over my glasses.Technically everything worked well. The games after were a great addition.Dynamic instructor created teams and we battled the others in memory games, etc, 5 different types of games related to the history of Quebec. Take your family or friends! They will love it.

This is one of the activities we did in old Quebec. It was a very nice film, providing you with a history of first settlers from Europe. As we did it the day before we had a walking tour, it gave us some more insights into history of New France. I would definitely recommend to do it if you are in Quebec city.

Unfortunately for us, the welcome was not very friendly and the explanations were expeditious on the edge of the reception counter. Results 3 people out of 6 in our group had difficulty starting the presentation in good condition and thus enjoying the presentation. All in all interesting presentation but more 20-30 min than 40. And for fans of virtual reality, they will note that a more modern version would be interesting

We usually don’t avail ourselves of “high-tech” experiences. But we are always interested in learning about the history of the places we visit. In this case, for the first time, we selected this virtual reality 3D experience. It was a good decision.
First, I recommend that you visit their website for a better description of what the attraction actually is – as our description could not do it justice.
Suffice it to say…
1. The experience was unique
2. We learned a great deal.
3. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.
4. The gentleman who greeted us and managed our “tour” was very friendly and engaging, pleasant, polite and warm. I wish I could remember his name to mention it here.
It is a very new exhibit / attraction and will likely grow and evolve over time – it is a brand new entity. We hope that they will expand the offerings for the existing admission price and the experience over time.
As always this is just our opinion based upon our single experience. Please visit the place and form your own opinion.

Our family started our vacation in Quebec with this experience. It was a fun way to learn some history and visualize early Quebec. I thought it was most successful showing topography/landscape of the area and giving a sense of the battle on Plains of Abraham. Graphics weren’t super sharp and refresh rate was low which can cause nausea in some, but we were ok. We got a good chuckle out of the soldiers being the same guy copied over and over again. All-in-all it didn’t blow our minds, but I’m glad we did it.

Thanks so much for your review. Taking in our VR show is a great way to complement any other activities you do here. Where else will you see what the area looked like 500 years ago and how it became the city it is today?
